    I was addicted to cocaine since I was 14 years old. I have been clean for 2 years now(also quit fentanyl) and I have never been happier. I always thought being sober would be miserable, but it is the complete opposite. I work out every day, I feel energetic and confident, I sleep 8 hours a night, and my severe anxiety is completely gone. To anyone struggling with addiction I promise you the hell of withdrawal is a microscopic inconvenience compared the reward you get at the other end. Just know the pain ends and happiness begins.

    I know that feeling. I never used cocaine but in the early to mid 70's I like to take speed on a Friday or Saturday night. When the birds would start singing and first light crept through the curtains, I knew that the crash was imminent and I would be depressed all day but unable to sleep it off.

    Man it’s all fun & games at first. But when it’s 930am & people are on their way to work while you’re on your way home shìt is not fun at all. When u get home & u have to tie a shirt around your head to cover your eyes because it’s broad daylight outside & you want darkness. When it’s bright as shit & everybody is awake & moving & you’re “sleeping” but your still hearing every single noise around you. Nah man. That shìt ain’t fun. & it’s not worth it. Once the suicidal thoughts start creeping in while your laying there trying to sleep that’s when you know it’s time to stop. I pray that anyone still hooked on this gets the help they need. IT GETS BETTER I PROMISE. DONT EVER GIVE UP ❤

    Yeah, as much as it's bad to do this stuff consistently, this is a very grey subject which I wish so many "medical professionals" didn't criticize and demonize repeatedly. Methamphetamine to it's purest form is actually not bad for you and provides wonder antidepressant effects. Cocaine is harmful, but still, isn't as dangerous as people deem it to be. When I say grey area, I mean there is a lot of variables which make these drugs deadly. 1) Genetic predisposition to addiction 2) cut substances 3) method of administration 4) Reliance on street drugs because medical industry pushes out medications that don't work and sometimes make conditions worse. This could be a long discussion, but that's a few pieces of information I wanted to get across.

  • @Rochester92G

    @Rochester92G

    Жыл бұрын

    Oh, and another thing..a lot of the cases where they blame people's bad teeth, skin, mental problems, etc on these drugs I believe are misleading because the ones they observe with these drugs have bad preexisting conditions, are homeless, bad access to hygiene, terrible diets, etc etc.

  • @vanessaaves3271

    @vanessaaves3271

    @@Rochester92G yeah, those are a lot of compelling points. I was dating a low-stakes dealer (what I mean by that, was he mostly just sold to his friends or rich university students), but of course we had a hook up for it in Denver. The quality varied DRASTICALLY and you could tell the second it went up your nose by the taste. Sometimes it tasted chemically sweet, like artificial watermelon so we assumed it was cut with absolutely horrible chemicals. Ecstasy was the other drug of our choosing, sometimes consuming 20 pills each in one night, and of course they are also cut with different things. And I have bipolar, was diagnosed years before the addiction, so there was a self-medicating aspect to what I was doing as well. I used to be prescribed dextroamphetamine for ADD, and that’s literally just legal speed.

    Yeah I just figured this out I been trying to quit for 3 years now but it’s so hard especially when your drinking and everyone drinks at social gatherings. It’s so hard cause everyone in my family does it. It’s so hard to quit when everyone starts calling when I’m not at family gathering. Then I feel left out. I also have a bad habit of smoking cigarettes. I only smoke cigarettes when I do coke. I only do coke when I drink. So the main problem is drinking.

    From my experience it really works excellently! It doesnt even need to be a full hit. With potent shrooms 2-3 small ones will still make a clear difference. It will be a few hour cosy rumbling moment around rest time, but afterwards its just calm and you feel amazing and gain your freedom. Psilocybin is different dudes, its the only "treatment" I would recommend to someone who genuinely wants to get better. There is no addiction, withdrawal, or negative side effects. It's just pure healing., far more effective than any anti-depressant. You can thank me later,

    As an older teenager, I discovered cocaine and quickly became highly addicted. I have been clean since 1994, but the damage to my body had already been done and is permanent. I have Chronic Migraines (15+ headache days oer month), anxiey disorders including panic disorder, nerve damage, and damage to my septum. It was definitely not worth it and if you're an addict, please get help. My life is forever changed as a result of my addiction, even after being clean for so many years.

    THIS is the REAL problem with drug addiction: the permanent damage it causes to the brain, heart, lungs, etc. I've known many current and recovered addicts. They have all exhibited varying degrees of psychoses and/or degraded mental ability as well as heart problems due to long periods of malnutrition that often accompany severe drug addiction. It is always very sad.

    I don't think there is a stigma at all. As a matter of fact, I think there is a stigma against speaking about the harmful effects of hard drugs like coke, particularly among those who are in their high school years, 20's, and even 30's. If you talk about the harmful effects of drugs with those people, you're a "narc", a person who is no fun or too serious, a party pooper, and etc.

The more chemical processing, the more this rings true for illegal drugs in general. When gov clamps down, it tends to get even worse as substitute precursors are used. The war on drugs has always been a war on rights. The only succesful drug policy is one that understands both sides of the coin, and chooses respectfully to limit damage to people and society. I'm in my 20s and I've been a moderate coke user for about a year now. When i say moderate, I mean I do it 2-3 nights a week. Even at that pace, I've started noticing some adverse effects. Doing a bump used to bring me from baseline to having higher energy. Now, I feel like a walking zombie most of the time, and "need" a bump to feel a normal baseline level of energy for someone my age. Also, whatever energy coke gives me in the moment, I end up needing to pay back two-fold. I'll sleep up to 16 hours some days. My eating and sleeping habits are totally out of whack. As a result, I'm weaker and have a harder time exercising, which is something that's important to me and my mental health. It also really alters my perception of reality. It'll make me more confident but also terrified to be alone, and makes me feel disproportionately depressed if I end the night earlier than the coke makes me want to. I was home for the holidays and had 5 days where I had no access to it. I didn't crave it that whole time, but I'm scared to think what it would be like if I let my usage get to that point. That, and this video, made me realize now is probably the best time to stop, before it gets any worse. Thank u for putting this out there!

I think it's pretty safe to say if she's getting the help she needs she's also getting the information she needs (and probably already knew) and does not need to be getting that same information from other people in her life. what she needs from you is simple support and an open ear to listen to what's going on with her and be there if there's anything you can do to help but sending her stuff like this video and telling her how bad drugs are will only make her resent you even though she knows you're factually correct. as an addict I can say even though I know people have good intentions when they do things like that, I simply cannot help but become resentful and upset with them for doing it because it at least appears to show you think they are ignorant to the consequences, and got into their situation out of stupidity and ignorance instead of any of the actual factors than lead hundreds of millions of people around the world to addiction through millions of different circumstances

    I used to take cocaine on payday weekends (so once a month I would buy an 8th between 3 of us). There was an occasion where I had severe heart palpitations and had to go and lay down. I remember trying to blow my nose to clear and try to get rid of it. That was a scary moment for me and was the turning point where I made the decision to stop.

    @@ravenesqueone3033 yeah most people are not getting addicted but the chance of getting addicted is pretty high on cocaine. And it is not healthy as well, i mean yes alcohol is not healthy either but cocaine is pretty aggressive on the heart and even if you only take it like once a month the risk of a heart attack or stroke is getting pretty high over time, there are not many drugs that are as dangerous as cocaine, in combination with alcohol even more because it combines and the cardiotoxicity rises on extreme levels. I mean i took it too a few times but if you want to party then rather take amphetamine (no meth) sometimes, yes it is different but it is cheaper, the effect is way longer and it is not as harmfull. But other then the cardiotoxicity of cocaine it is not as bad as people say, i know atleast 8 people who took cocaine more then one time me included and no one got addicted, it is fair to say that it depends on the person (if you are prone to addiction allot of drugs can get you hooked pretty quick) and your life circumstances, taking drugs because of bad feeling will result in addiction in most cases, so only take drugs to have fun while already in good mood and the last point is the living environment like friends with bad influence. If you have a stable live and do not try to forget problems with drugs you will most likely not get addicted.

I actually see the denturest finally on Tuesday. Dentures arent covered by insurance and they are $4000 for the cheapest ones. Ive been without any teeth for over a year trying to save up and as a 35 year old woman it has had devastating effects on my self-esteem, and social life. Not to mention my health. Because I cannot chew I don't digest food properly which leads to vomiting in the mornings. I also have heart problems. age 35 is SO young to be missing all my teeth and to have heart problems. Please if you have a problem with cocaine or any other substance get help. It is possible to stop needing the drug to cope with trauma and be happy. It takes a long time for the brain to reset but it does and now I'm happier than I ever have been. Its never to late to get better. you are loved. If you think no one loves you, I love you. I didn't become addicted to any of them and since going into my 40's I completely stopped because I knew that my body just wouldn't be able to cope with the drugs like it could when I was younger. I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my older brother to this drug 4 years ago. The pain never left, but me and my family are learning to live with it and live the best lives we can. I'm also an alcoholic and addict in recovery. I'm coming up 5 months clean and I'm 29 now, the same age as my brother when he died. I'm doing this for his memory but most importantly for myself! God bless you and your family🙏

    @Brad-wl6de I'm sorry for your loss as well. The pain never does go away, but life must continue, and we have to be better people for them. Many blessings to you!

    I am so thankful you did this video. I recently lost 2 young cousins (brothers) to overdoses. We didn't even know they were using cocaine.. This helped me tremendously so I can have a better conversation with the remaing young ones.❤ And I can be more aware of the signs beforehand this time.

    Today they probably weren't using cocaine. They may have thought they were. But today it's all fentanyl.

    Your videos are so onpoint and I recommend them to others. As someone that has a sensitive nose, i refuse to try cocaine thanks to this specific video. For some reason there seems to be something positive from your videos regardless of the content and i find that refreshing.

    You should do videos on all the street drugs and addictive prescription drugs. That would be very informative. I tried it once in 1999 and hated it and never did it again

    @@theanatomylab I work with a lot of homeless people/ drug addicts and the #1 choice of drug is methamphetamine and the #1 way of consumption is by smoking it. A detailed video of all the problems this drug causes would probably be one of the most helpful videos out there on this topic. Thanks a mil for all the hard work you guys do on these videos! 🙏🏽

    @@irvinzavaleta5804 I’ve noticed when people inject it they lose their 💩like off the rails crazy. I’ve cared for so many addicts that wind up in the hospital due to skin infections and surprisingly they’re very open about it so I get to hear their stories.

    Messed around with coke for years, was normal in the circles I moved in. At the time, I did not know the amount of problematic use those around me were experiencing. That is what stuck with me most. It is a losing drug... One could argue most are, but coke is different. It empowers the worst in you and kills off what was left. Also, cocaine disrupts your central nervous system in a way that puts you at a severely increased chance of cardiac arrest. This risk grows as you use more in one setting, but ALSO as you use more often on a shorter timeframe. Media stories about celebs OD'ing coke will usually not be about OD in the classical meaning of the term, but rather said creeping risk. These people are no incidental snorters. As much fun as coke can be, realize that there are no snorters out there that can honestly say their habit has not crushed their soul more than once.

    Understand there is a higher risk of sudden death from a single line if you go back after years of not using.
