sir one question related to trial balance with closing stock

sir c/s trial bal mai nhi ata kyoki vo double effect ho jayega(purchase 1L and 30k)but kae situation c/s trial bal mai dhkiya jata hai kyoki vo purchase - c/s already ho gaya hai. now mera que hai ki 1st situation mai reason kya ho skta entry nhi pass krneka?

Yes, If COGS is given, then closing stock will appear in the trial balance.

We pass an opening entry in the beginning of the year to brought forward all the Assets and liabilities of last year.

Yes Niharika, I totally get your point but normally in Businesses, jo closing stock reh jata h wo purchase wale stock ka hota h because you sell those goods first jo aapke pas pehle se h, old goods or if you are into manufacturing then you use the old materials first.

Bro but the entry was passed after preparing trail balance. But in case of adjusted c/s the entry was :- c/s stock. Dr. To trading a/c And that's how c/s a/c was created. And ask question if u have

As we know that we do not balances nominal a/c in ledger a/c...and we also know that we post ledger balanced(bal c/d) in trial balance then how we show purchase, salary ,commission rec., bad debts etc in trial balance. .??????plz answer this...

Hi Shalini, all the balances are shown in trial balance. When we say that we don't balance nominal accounts, it means we don't show the balances in the balance sheet.

Example taken in the book is different from what I have taken, figures are different, that's why value of closing stock is different.

Sir if we'll show the purchases as 70000 how is that possible coz we have already entered 1,00,000 as purchases and at the end we get to know that the closing stock is 30,000

Adjusted purchases = Opening stock + purchases - Closing stock, so if adjusted purchase is given then opening stock ni ayega and closing stock ayega..

@@cahardikmanchanda Sir I have a doubt.. pls clear it- When adjusted purchase is given in the trial balance , we don't show opening stock in the trial balance as it has already been adjusted through purchases but then why do we take closing stock in the trial balance.. it's also adjusted by subtracting from purchases plus opening stock..to iska bhi to treatment ho gaya na?😅

Trading account me calculate Gross profit which is equal to Sales - Cost of goods sold . Cost of goods sold is calculated by adding purchases and opening stock and deducting closing stock so therefore closing stock is credited to trading account.

Because Opening STOCk Debt Hota Hai Isliye credit Hota Hai Closing Stock

Sir ji aapne toh to purchases ac 30000 se credit Kiya hai

Purchase to 100000 ki ha to apna closing stock ma to purchase 30000 kiya ha ya samaj ma nahi aya

30,000 ka closing stock h to utne amount se closing stock record kiya and purchase kam kiya so 30,000 se purchase credit hua h.
