My personal opinion is these machines become very addictive, I cryed my eyes when Raleigh Industries UK closed down a long time ago.

You're right about becoming addicted. Many years ago I was a patrol inspector in a components factory in Tonbridge. I used to go in on Friday nights and run the back row of around 12 machines while Foxy ran the front row. I loved it. I have a cnc machine nowadays set up as a single spindle bar auto making Matchless and BSA spare parts. I'd love to set up an auto-shop full of Wickmans...

Wickman are tough machines my dad worked on them for 34 years in that time they had very little maintenance and the actual machines were auto chuckers ( not bar feed ) from around the Second world war period.

There are threading and reaming cams in the wick and you will do some cranking to get them in and out,i would take a wick over any other multi.
