You two are a breath of fresh air. Thanks for caring enough about people you've never met to want to include us in on your art adventures and the lessons in film and video you've learned along the way. It's educational, inspirational and authentic.

I know what you mean Markus. A couple of years ago i lost my Mom and Dad just a couple of weeks apart. They were married for 64 yrs and had four children. When my siblings and i were looking through their photos we discovered over 4,000 photos. There were lots of photos of them when they were kids with their families as well. Not once did my siblings and i mention the quality of the photos, we just had a day of good laughs, good cries, and good stories and memories. I Love You Mom & Dad.

Agree. Totally. When my wife had our firstborn I decided to buy an APS-C camera(that's what I can afford) so 20 years from now she'll have GOOD photos of herself and not washed up blurred photos from a phone. Nowadays when I take our photos to be printed at the local photo printer the manager NOTICES and remarks how good they look and I'm still using the kit lens. Photos are memories framed in time and we save them so they'll won't be lost.

You are so lucky to have Cara. For 11+ mintues you took my mind off or my right knee pain. I have lost interest in recording because of my arthritis in my neck and knees. Soon I will have a right total knee arthoplasty which will put me in KZread hibernation for somtime. I need your prayers. Thank you Markus 225 likes now

Can't agree more. Life is fast and too short. If it weren't for photography we would forget so many of the things we've done and experienced. I think you need a bag boy to carry all your stuff so you don't scramble so much while Cara watches you work! Wow Marcus and Cara, I have watched so many of your videos, and I think this is probably your best so far. Its real and from the heart, and the love you guys have for each other really tangible. Let me also add that one of the reasons I follow your channel is because you manage to capture images that would feature in any high fashion glossy magazine, and you do it with equipment that most photographers would dismiss. Thank you for just walking your life journey, and honestly for letting us share moments of it alongside both of you. Having pictures of moments are indeed underrated. It was only after my dog Buddy that i was fortunate to care for in his last 10 of maybe 16-18 years of his life pass this easter that i printed off four pictures of him. With these four pictures capturing him at play and happy I can remember him during his happies rather then that last hours of his life. Without them i would be even more of a wreck.

Markus, Cara you guys were in St. Lucia. When you were there, if you looked across the water you would see the other island of St.Vincent. That is where i was born. It did belong to Great Britain, but i believe they are now self governing. I just love you guys, i love hearing you talk about nothing. God i love these two. Great message! Not many people had cameras where I was born so I am incredibly lucky to have a German uncle who visited us with his new cameras once in a while. He took pictures and video. I have video of myself at just 2 years old from the 80s living in the middle of nowhere in Poland. No way I could have remembered any of that without video. But here I see it with my own eyes today. It's something else!

I agree. My cameras are only a canon 1100D and the one before it . Neither now work - but when they were my ex wife ,whom wanted me to quit photography and my kids always complained at me taking my camera everywhere.I am 68 and have tolerated ridiculous comments for years.

love this, in this digital age i think print is more powerful than ever. as you said people take pictures all the time and almost never look back through them. even then looking at a huge print on the wall is an entirely different experience. i think it forces you to respect the art more and give it your full attention. loving this kind of content from you

My wife is shy so I won't share online but I LOVE shooting her because to me she is the most beautiful woman in the world and Love having the prints. Most images I took were with my Olympus micro four thirds but love them because they are of the woman I love the most.

Wow what an amazing video! I’m old school and started my photography back in the early 80s where printing photos was part of the passion. Fast forward to present time and with digital and mirrorless systems I still print photos for my portfolio and for framed prints on my wall, it is a lost art as Cara states that I refuse to let go. I enjoy seeing my photos as I sit and wait for memory cards to upload or simply taking a break from editing, it certainly takes me back and feel blessed to have created those memories that now live on my walls

I bought a mini dvd camcorder and it's fun to watch something on physical media. Feels real. Phones has removed the real feeling of being there. The small shakes, the overexposed sky and direct audio makes feel good memories.

as an artist my self i am stimulated by a cool visual image. when i see your photos my reaction is WOW. how clear and color saturated and what great effects you achieved . THEY ROCK!🤘As far as the moments, those were your personal experiences.

Beautiful! I have so many photos that are memory art like these. Sorting through them will take a long time, but that process is also extremely enjoyable. One thing I do every year is present my children with a book of photos of them from that year. It's about 20 pages, and they each get their own copy with a note from me in the front talking about the memories inside, how they are such a delight, and my dreams for their abundant futures.

Hell yeah, memories. That's what it's all about. A portal for you and your loved ones to visit a place and time that never will be the same again. Loved the video thanks for the inspiration

A trigger for a memory says it so well.

Man, after each long distance motorcycle travel with my wife, I also print a number of X pictures taken from the trip. Looking at them after a while is such a motivation to work more and go in more and more travels. Specially when live simply gets hard for whatever reason! But we live in a 3 rooms apartment though so I must content to having an A4 size album.

Perfect way to describe it. I print some as well and hang them on a shower line stainless cable from Ikea with little clips and change them out each month or so so we can see the images every day. Love your work and your passion together!
