Not if you get it from a thrift store! There are also many discount fabric stores. And you could use parts of old sheets or other linens, probably.

Now they have this waterproof sticker wallpaper that they sell it per roll that is very cheap and I think using that is better. If it gets dirty just wipe it.

​@Direct2children use roach baits or get pest control in. And having a cat helps, too. And keep all food stored in airtight containers.

I prefer a real piece of wood decors, u pay for what u get, sorry not many people buy cardboard Decor, I am 65 and been selling Home Decor, never really tried it, maybe it will sell, but it’s not going to hold up

I agree it is nice but isnt cheap at all to do all of this to look beautiful not like a kitch.
