Why Braveheart's Battle of Stirling is AWESOME! (despite its inaccuracies)
Ойын-сауық
Wow. That only took an eternity to make. Sorry about that. Anyway, this video covers how the Battle of Stirling is handled in the Mel Gibson movie "Braveheart." From its inaccuracies, special effects, and how the battle strategically plays off. Hope the wait was worth it (prolly not tho).
Like and sub' if you're a TRUE kilt wearin' Scot!~

The biggest inaccuracy in the movie of the Battle of Sterling bridge...there is no bridge...😄

Yeah... that and them dressing up the Scots as if they were Pict Savages. As a descendant of an English Reiver family its pretty funny I guess; but good lord that was ridiculous. The Scots were properly armed and armored.
Super entertaining!
Great information !
WELL SAID👍... another excellent video man!

Thank you!
Ome of my all time favourite movies.
I like your edition and narration abilities. If I could have you talk about cod 3 I would love it, but I think a video about it was already made and it may not be the moment for you to upload another.

Stay tuned. The day of reckoning of will come
SCOTLAND FOREVER!
I've paused it... I'm gonna go way out on a limb here, and guess that the side (on the right) with the Plantagenet flag are English? Although I see a fleur de lis with the other guys... making me suspect this is a trick. Edit: Ha ha!! Useless knowledge wins the day!! What is that, Poitiers? Gotta be, I don't see a slew of archers, so its unlikely to be Crecy or Agincourt. THAT'S how much useless knowledge I have fellas. Couldn't pass a 9th grade algebra class to save my life though.

Loved it as a kid but hate it as an adult my nan made me watch it, yes a scot and yes an anti royalist. Also it's not hard to figure out who's who if you're not an American who doesn't know what a banner is 😂 also the blue paint was a thing through the Isles not just Scotland

I used to be a big fan of history buffs and I still have some respect for him but he’s way too pretentious and somewhat hypocritical.

Yeah same. Don't get me wrong, analyzing the historical accuracy of movies is totally fine to do and can be pretty educational. But acting like films are bad just cuz they're inaccurate is pretty dumb.

@@elmosanchez exactly, and he bitches about bravehearts inaccuracies yet is fine with ghost and the darkness which is hardly accurate and he himself admits it alongside him ignoring many of the inaccuracies within a bridge too far.

@@jcdenton7891 I mostly think it is the faults of the video being one of his older works which is prone to mistakes and the fact it was cool to hate on Mel Gibson then in 2016 with the controversies surrounding him at the time. I still respect both of them and likely had changed for the better.
Wauw it's almost like they weren't even trying to make it historically accurate. Cuz they weren't.
3:27 "most of the infantry on the Scots side were massacred"? Umm, you meant Egnglish (infantry were massacred)
This, and Kevin Costners Robin Hood are probably the two most awesome, but simultaneously terrible movies ever.
to be fair I watched a lot of videos in Ukraine and I can see that when soldiers die there isnt much blood
