Which just makes the video a hate video rather than informative one. Please keep doing research and give us quality videoes. Thank you.

My main issue with Bollywood films: they try to do WAY too many things in a film. Just tell one story, with one protagonist, and let it play out. Also, too many musical numbers. I love the cinematography and acting, but I feel the films are always 45 minutes too long.

I noticed that this seems to be all of India, not just Bollywood. In fact, I didn't realize there was a difference until recently. My friends live in Andhra Pradesh and when "Baahubali" came out they insisted I watch it because it was the most amazing cinematic experience ever. I laughed my whole way through. Campy, melodramatic acting, ridiculously choreographed fight sequences, weird editing, and even a cringy musical number that didn't fit in at all. I thought it was a comedy. Imagine my surprise when my friends took it seriously and said it was so much better than "Bollywood crap". 🤔🤔🤔 Other than switching Hindi to Telugu, what's the difference???

Here's a super simple thing that explain why typically these more "experimental" movies fail to attract audiences: Audiences don't know what the movie is about before going. No expectations. The trailer tells nothing, the audience doesn't know what to expect thus they don't bother learning it. A simple action flick is self-explainable of what it is all about and what you should expect.

One dealt with an ex-Maoist son coming back to his village to bury his dad with his brother who still believes in the caste system and another about 2 friends from different castes trying to keep a chicken alive as the '90s civil war rages one. It's almost like original stories that actually looks at its characters like people rather than larger than life stars is..... good 🤯🤯🤯 tho I should do some thinking myself too cause as much as I hate karan johar films, I will bust my ass dancing when "Kuch Kuch Hota hai" comes on 😭😭😭

This comment section is too hateful towards Bollywood.Nowadays Bollywood maybe making trash films like soty 2 or kalank but in the old days it was making beautiful gems such as pyaasa, kaagaz ke phool, guide, silsila, kabhi kabhie,veer-zara,ddlj,rab ne bana di jodi,om shanti om,rangeela, karz, kati patang etc.All these are good entertaing movies. Not all movies have to be serious or realistic in order to be good. The films I mentioned may not be liked by everyone but these are good, entertaining films made with so much emotion. Also, dancing and singing doesn't make a movie bad.Songs are the soul of Bollywood movies and have always been such an important part.Especially old hindi songs are soooooo good and the lyrics of those are so beautiful and poetic. So, before writing hate comments just think what you are saying.

I've stop watching bollywood movies 12 years ago. Kangana Ranault seems to be the only authentic actress in this industry. In conterpart, sorry the fans but, an actor like Salman khan who never have done a single authentic role in his entire career is worshipped. He can't even act at all. How can we see bollywood as a serious industry with these kind of fact. The most authentic bollywood movie that I've seen (that had succeded) was Taare Zameen Par, the most memorable was Devdas and the best was Black. I liked many indians movies, but I've stopped because I grew up enough to realize how everything about it was unfair and cringy, and it just feel like it just getting worst with this new generation. Tiger Shroff career is an example of what is going wrong. He want to be the new Hrithik Roshan but, it just doesn't work. Everything I see when I watch him, is something that I've never been able to see through Hrithik, because, H.R have a lot of talent, the movies he played into were great (Koi Mil Gaya..) and, of course, he's more handsome. Tiger just seems to be an aliexpress version of H.R.... This guy have talent, but acting isn't for him. Hrithik was Krrish, Rohit, he also was this charismatic stealer in Dhoom 2, he was Mohamed Akbar and many other role,... while Tiger Shroff is just Jacky Shroff's son who can't stop himself to worship Hrithik Roshan. People use to say the same thing about Shahid Kapoor, but now, he stand as a great actor (Haider...) There's also way to much nepotism in this industry. And India should start to make movies without useless dancing sequences that nobody need. Each time, the plot is about Kastriya families, or Vashiya families. Always big houses, great cars, troubles who just don't seems connected to India and Indians. Never seen a movie about poor people or just normal people living in a modest apartment. It's not normal that a country who have one and hundred year in cinema art, and have a population of one billion people, isn't able to produce blockbuster like we actually see in China right now. the highest grossing movie doesn't surpassed $300 millions, and most of this money came from chinese public. So I'm wondering, if the fact that bollywood is disconnected to India, is somehow the reason why, those movie are grossing so low, when they have the potential to be watch, at least by 100 millions people ?

My mates are Indian one is born here the others came to America as teens. They literally criticize my movies tastes and I never get to let me choose film to watch because they think it’s boring etc there favorite genre is horror and after them showing me their favorite Indian film I then realized why they like horror! Horror films tend to have bad acting and easy plots that any dingus can follow and the film they showed me was the worst thing I have ever watched. And was perplexed when they randomly started dancing 3 or 4 times in the middle of the movie. I showed them the Departed with Leo Decaprio/mark walberg etc and they couldn’t follow the plot and found it boring. I told them after watching that Indian film “y’all can NEVER judge my film tastes ever again ! You made me waste 2 hrs of my life watching a Bollywood film”

Sir why does a normal indian middle class person go to movie? First think about that. He wants to be entertained so that he is not reminded about his life problems like rent, school fees etc, at movie he doesn't want to think abt worser problems without solution or elite class problems like childhood trauma. Yes I agree that audience were before not exposed to good content but now they are, in you tube many watching south dubbed and other movies. Yes its still masala but masala done right and that is why today heropanti 2 is flop, runaway is running steady and kgf2.... 🏇. So audience are slowly changing. Pls don't do audience shaming just because they don't like world cinema. We Indians are by nature emotional and family oriented and western moviess with their family structure doesn't connect to common Indians. If I am not able to connect to a movie, i can't enjoy it.

Most Bollywood movies still objectivley bad for their repetitive script, filming style, lengthy runtime filled with pointless scenes, unoriginal ideas, horrible humour, unnesscary music and dancing every 10 minutes, strong preference for nepotism, cringey slow-mos, and unnessecary patriotism. It's honestly shameful to the country and tells the world that Indians do not know how to make a proper film and consume this trash on a basis You can use "entertainment" and "cultural difference" as an excuse to justify producing these trashy movies. The problem is that the mass population is what gets them to the top of the box office, and that motivates these shitty directors to keep producing them. You lower your standards and normalize into society Realism isn't a bad thing by the way, and neither is unrealism. Good writing is what counts

Seriously man, Are you blaming audiences for not watching the films ? How come north India is accepting movies from South India when none of the Stars are known in North India. Movie consist of 2 things, good content ( story + execution ) and then connecting it to the audience. Most of the film that failed simply did not connect to the audience. It may be a good film but audience did not even connect with it to go and watch it. And Bollywood has started paying the price as now South Indian films generate more excitement then a bollywood movie. Let the market play out and you will see it will automatically autocorrect.

@The Hero you are comparing unrelated arguments here, the point is very simple , people will consume what they know about and what most connects to them, it is the job of the makers to put across that message and not the otherwise.
