@@Eddybih03 no it's not! Honorable as they are, none of those occupations require the work and talent needed to be a professional athlete. Becoming a surgeon is directionally correct, but anyone with the talent and dedication to become a surgeon is also compensated in the 1%. Professional athletes have all that, crazy amount of travel and stress of potentially being replaced tomorrow. The majority don't make the millions, or have the job security of the stars. Those are the people I completely agree with that they are grinding and working hard. Be thankful for that motion.
It’s one of the most difficult things in the world to achieve, there is quite literally a barrier to entry just off height, so that eliminates 90% of population, then you take into account the fact there is only 400 players out of billions of people, it’s nearly impossible to make it, you have to survive injuries, and beat out competition, and naturally have height by default. It’s incredibly rare, which is why I respect those who make it, and got no respect for those who take it for granted, like bums like Ben simmons

it’s really not if you have the height, since that knocks out 90% of the competition. trying to make it as a world class soccer player in one of Europe’s top 5 leagues makes getting into the nba look like a side mission. since you aren’t easily disposable in the nba if you start dropping your performances since lack of competition for your spot and only a couple ways to get into the league.

If they are a star player, you get added responsibility of talking to media after every game. They don't have the weekend to look forward to like the rest of us folks. With whatever "free" time they have, the pressure of social media is around, so they gotta be careful with what they do in public, or who might be filming them. Dante D of the GS Warriors?
One year of ur salary bud and im set for life smh.
Legend has it that when Iggy was asked to retire he said: "Right"
Evan Turner straight cheesin
NBA rookie minimum salary is almost $1M . You better fkn work hard. And not complain too.
The type of $ they getting paid would motivate me to give 1000%
Kept it real
To make an impact in whatever you choose to do you gotta put in 12+ hours of pure focus. Sht bruh even a regular job gets exhausting no matter how easy it is just from doing the same thing to seeing the same thing constantly..
Sorry about all the basketball you have to play. Life is hard.

Bro got into the NBA and found out he actually gotta play basketball and practice to get paid 😱😱😱😱
Imagine having to work 2 full time jobs just to scrape by and be behind on your bills. Not saying they dont work hard but when they're making that kind of money nobody cares. We all work hard but we all don't get paid
