Why baby gorillas NOT HAVE NAMES ? The Mystery of London Zoo.
Үй жануарлары мен аңдар
The baby gorillas were born almost 5 months ago but they don't have names yet. Zoo officials said that they don't even know the sex of the baby gorillas because they didn't have the opportunity to examine them.
This is extremely strange. The baby gorillas were not examined and vaccinated?
Is this normal?

To answer your question IMO this’s unusual. I can’t recall another Zoo taking this long to confirm the sexes and to announce their names. ❤️🦍
Some zoos have a baby naming contest for the fans to throw ideas for baby names into the 'hat'. Most babies get their name about two months old, but these babies are 4 months old, and don't have names yet.

Interesting! I haven't heard about that naming contest! Maybe London Zoo should consider it too😊
I was going to say something about that yesterday but I thought it might be weird. It seems odd that they have no names. For now it’s “Li’l Eff” and “Mini Mju”.

Their mothers have to trust the keepers enough to let them get a really close look at them through the bars, and not all mother gorillas are willing to do that when their babies are still very small. With most primate moms and babies it’s almost impossible to physically separate them in the first year so keepers and vets can closely examine the baby, without tranquilizing the mom and that’s very risky. So the protocol in zoos is to just leave them alone for the first year unless it’s a dire emergency and they have to intervene.

Wow! It's the first time I hear it can take a year to confirm the gender. Thank you for watching and for your comment!

THIS AND OUT AND OUT SHAME, THE BABY IS TOO SMALL, IT DOESNT GET TO NURSE THE WAY IT SHOULD BECAUSE ITS MOTHER DOESNT WANT IT. SO THE ZOO REALLY NEEDS TO HELP THIS BABY, BEFORES IT DIES.

Please don't worry. Effie's baby is well nursed. Effie is surely not as caring as Mjukuu, but she is doing her best after postpartum depression. I also hope zookeepers are keeping an eye on both babies.
So süß!!! ❤ Die Gorilla Mamis sind sehr liebevoll. 🥰

Most Zoo's are excited to have newborn gorillas and have already put out a ton of information on the babies by now. The fact that they're five months old and the sex of both babies haven't been confirmed is very concerning. If they're unable to take care of the residents of the zoo properly then maybe they shouldn't be in charge.
Awwwwwwwwwww, sweet babies 1 boy and 1 girl ❤❤❤❤❤
