Why Aztecas Don’t Exist in GTA 5

Aztecas is Spanish for Aztecs, who were an ancient civilization/people.
Unlike the Vagos and the Marabunta Grande, the Aztecas have some older members that appear to be in their 50's or 60's. This indicates the possibility that the Aztecas are a multi-generational gang that have been around for a while. This is not uncommon in Los Angeles, as there are Mexican street gangs such as White Fence and Clanton 14 that have been around since the 1940's.
They have links to the cartels and are currently at a war with rival Salvadorian gang Marabunta Grande over the drug trade, drug trafficking, supply routes, and weapons smuggling in the Senora Desert region and parts of Los Santos. Weazel News also reported that there was a recent shootout between the two gangs in the Grand Senora Desert. The Aztecas have also been known to be heavily involved in arms dealing.
Events of Grand Theft Auto Online in 2013
They make an appearance in GTA Online: Further Adventures in Finance and Felony through SecuroServ cargo shipments available to players of CEO status. They are frequent adversaries and are known to steal shipments of goods intended for the player's Organization.
They later appear as a rival gang for the Motorcycle Clubs in Biker missions.
Events of Grand Theft Auto V
They are first mentioned in GTA V in a internet news article from The Senora Beacon after the mission The Long Stretch, the article mentions they using the Alamo Sea as their base of operations and the fact that they were forced to leave Los Santos because of their war with the Vagos.
In the storyline, the VLA are in competition with Trevor Philips Enterprises over the weapons trade in Blaine County. After Trevor Philips destroys Ortega's trailer, the VLA decide to take him down. Several VLA members attack the Sandy Shores meth lab, but end up defeated.
The Aztecas also appear in Trevor's arms smuggling side mission. During the air missions, they appear in just one mission, where they are reunited in four different groups across Blaine County and need to be destroyed by Trevor using bombs dropped by a plane. During the land missions, they appear in a mission in which they try to pick up an arms package before Trevor.

Events of Grand Theft Auto Online
The Contract
The Aztecas make a minor appearance in The Contract update in Grand Theft Auto Online. In 2021, during a South Central Leak investigation mission, Vernon from The Families asks the GTA Online Protagonist to help him and his gang interrupt a meth deal between The Lost MC and the Aztecas, before he helps with Dr. Dre's stolen phone information.

Naw only because leader abandoned gang don’t mean it’s going to fall off the next in power steps in I think since grove st and aztekas took over LS the police and government had to hit them hard with gang injunctions and they probably built a task force to take em down which forced them into hiding and moving to different sections of San Andreas maybe they just move big quantities of dope and left the hanging out and gang banging all together in other words they moved up from a street gang to working for bigger organizations as dope pushers human trafficking and security that’s y they appear in the game gta5 doing big moves rather than tagging and shooting there is a way to make them spawn if u go to marabunta grande gang located in burro heights then drive to the front of the police station/court house where they keep ur impounded car in public lobby there’s a small park with a small water fountain they appear around there if can’t find em repeat process till you do

Even in GTA San Andreas when the Aztecas were in their prime, they weren't really much more then a local street gang, so it doesn't surprise me that bigger Mexican and Hispanic gangs took them out so easily in gta5 and gtao.

True, they had only a few blocks of hood and the train station, meanwhile the vagos had the entire beach side and east side of los santos
Since familiar characters like Laslow exist in both the 3D and HD universes, it's heavily implied that the events of San Andreas happened in the HD universe. My guess is that Cesar, like Carl, went legit, and moved to San Fierro with Kendl and started a family and left the Aztecas to those who didn't possess his code of honor and so over time they declined and ultimately broke apart.

Only problem is in IV they completely paved over the old story, nothing at all looks like Fort Staunton in northern Algonquin or Bohan, the old 3 families are completely gone, replaced by a bunch of irrelevant bare bones barely explained Gambettis, Povanos, Messina's, something with an L that isn't Leones, and some other goofy name. No Ferrelis or Sindacos. Yeah the old families were wiped out by the time of 2001, but Jon G never mentions them, nor do any of the families in III, Vice, SA, or LCS mention the commission.

We had a thread on one of your old videos where I theorized that some of the Aztecas flipped to Vagos after they lost their power. Someone pointed out that they saw the two gangs riding together, this can be why some Vagos are seen positively interacting with Aztecas.
They're still active in LS they show up in the CEO crate missions and one of the missions of the contract dlc u do with Vernon
I guess the Azteca name didn't age well. Alot of people dissed the name early on. They also had the funniest diss name in San Andreas

In my head canon I like to thin they moved to San Fierro to fill in the vacuum left after the Loco Syndicate collapsed. You know, César wanted to keep Kendl safe, what better way than to move to a place where they already have a foothold?

My theory is that cesar and kendl probably moved to Mexico to start a new life there, having kids and never to be mentioned.
Its sad besides grove street they wete also my favorite gang in the series its sad ballas and vagos took control but it feels like they were snitcuing to cops thats usually the case though

The best way to get them to spawn is to approach from the right side of the city from La Mesa/El Burro Heights. Otherwise, it'll almost always be vagos or families that spawn at their hangout spots. If you see gang members wearing blue in rancho, you will know that they are Aztecas.

I found marabunta grande roaming there block for some reason it was kinda weird 😂 and yes ik the difference between aztecas and marabunta grande, grande got face tats and wear bandanas, while aztecas sometimes wear beanies but I think what made them spawn there randomly because I was in director mode and put it on night time that could be the case but it was just weird seeing them on the block 😹😂 btw there a good axss gang as well as the Aztecas 💙💙💙

I think CJ and Cesar became rich together and just left the gang life they eventually convinced sweet to come to and financially took care of everyone in their gangs and everyone left and lived their lives carl probably got married and Cesar married Kendal maybe sweet got with that girl from the mission "sweets girl" so pretty much everyone is rich and retired CJ is pretty much a billionaire if not trillionaire so that how the ballas took over the empty ungraded turf I find it funny that a random thug would be able to take down CJ after he literally was able to take down a whole military bas and ship by himself he probably would've had combat training to do the missions for toreno dude was a complete op tank at the end of his story but hey that my opinion

Yeah I wish the Aztecas had their own voice lines in GTA 5. It doesn't make sense for them to say the same lines as the Vagos.

Sounds like you are mistaking the Marabunta Grande for Aztecas. The Aztecas wear a lighter blue color and the Marabunta Grande wear darker blue colors.

@@LScentral Except on certain missions. During some special cargo source missions, the aztecas will steal your goods and you have to get it back from them and deliver it to your cargo warehouse.

Rockstar has clarified that 3D Universe has no link to HD Universe, except some ester eggs like that graffiti in GTA 4, which when asked Rockstar said was just to show 3D era, their story and character will never be back! 2008 marked the begining of HD era. 2D Era, 3D Era and HD Era have no link. Claude from GTA 2 and 3 aren't the same (in fact Claude isn't even called Claude in GTA 3). GTA 1 had all the three main places of the 3D Era but they are unrelated. Similarly gangs might share the same name as 3D era games but that won't make HD and 3D gangs same. Just like the DC Multiverse, in GTA Multiverse 2D, 3D and HD concepts have no connection! I can't belief people still fall for these click baits from people withth no knowledge how GTA works, and I say that having played every game in the series from GTA 2 in 1999 onwards!
