We have to be honest to ourselves and own up to what we're subconsciously perceiving, namely a preconceived show or spectacle, that somehow is governed by a concord agreement, that guarantees all teams and consequently drivers a piece of the pie. F1 today is no different from WWE, it follows a storyline. The storyline becomes apparent, when we watch and observe the performance of key players, it's all about keeping a certain buzz going, and social media influencers are playing a huge part in this show.

Things have definitely seemed a bit manipulated since Liberty media took over and yea, social media has brought in a bit of an era of spectacle seekers bs racing fans. I do hope that it’s not quite on the level of WWE yet, but I can see your point. Thanks for the comment 👍🏾
In the case of the announcement, I don’t think Hamilton had a choice. Cos it had already leaked to the press so he had to confirm or deny.

Great insight. It’d have been a scandal if he’d tried to keep it under wraps
