Fantastic! Like what you did.. reaching out to the people at ground zero. Nobody is ready to listen or even talk to the native people nowadays. People should understand what actually is needed to heal the Himalayas, instead of degrading it further. We need more green! 💚

Thanks a ton, to team DTE. As an occasional visitor to UT, as I have visited villages such as Govind ghat, Mana, Nandadevi NP, Valley of flowers NP, I can feel and visualize the Chipko movement after watching this episode. Today, there is need of another Chipko movement in the entire country than ever before.

i think its a fundamental flaw to think eviroment vs development. Enviroment has to go hand in hand with development and development has to go hand in hand with the enviroment or both will fail. Agroforestry is one of many answers to this problem.

Government should understand that development is necessary but not at the cost of increasing disasters and loss of livelihood of natives, I don't understand why they are not considering any environment evaluation before installing any hydroelectric power plant resulting in increasing proneness of our beautiful state towards hub of disasters.

Yes there is requirement to make transport and infra smooth with time but not at the cost of environment.Just to prove they are most hardworking govt till date they are messing up the things specially in hills.Writing this from Himachal in 43°C.

I think the current uttarakhand govt have zero percent interest for the environmemt even though look at the grandma who is so old but knows the value of nature it just depend on the practical knowledge .You can have a lot of degree etc etc but in real scenario these peoples have a lot of basic knowledge in which our govt is lacking .Our state is known for its beautiful nature but the properties or special things our state has the govt is erasing one by one and Some people will say why i am criticising the govt ?You can also do from yourself? For them i will tell you that a lot of initiative lot of things is happening by the youth and from the people of uttarakhand but our govt didnt. Support it The govt will just click pictures on harela day and just post stories with there happy faces dont know why But on the same day they put some development tactic and then say we need a thousand trees for the developmt Wwaaah
