I’ve always thought Fuhad is cold hearted but this cemented that for me. It is a huge ick when a man can’t take responsibility and accountability for their actions. Legit the first time I have ever sensed/felt that kind of tension between any of them throughout the entirety of SnG podcast. I was in the same "why so serious" camp as Fuhad until I saw the other's reactions to Fuhad's doubling down. I sensed the other 3 legitimately felt more serious about how Fuhad spoke to Ellis, than Fuhad was taking it. Makes me wonder about group dynamics 🤔

I know Ellis just scrolling through LinkedIn on that laptop, this is workplace bullying 😂

Fuhad owes Ellis an apology, he was being condescending. At least when James is in a mood and recognizes it, he sincerely apologizes on camera out loud and directly. James and Rem at least tried to speak up in Ellis’ behalf but yeah that was uncomfortable to see Fuhad double down.

Discipline is based on actual respect and understanding. Physical punishment doesn't really adhere to that. So not that surprising I suppose

As an avid Masterchef watcher James is spot on about black chefs, I always try to root for them but nah. I’m also hyped for Lauren and Phillipe this season. She (Lauren) was so gassed on ig that James is rooting for her.

You know, I disagreed with James on that one. As an avid cooking competition watcher, home cook/baker, recipe tester, I’ve noticed that Black chefs (and other PoC chefs) lean on the flavors they grew up on (usually Caribbean or African). The problem is, “fine dining” and the training that a lot of chefs receive at the CIA or Le Cordon Blue (for example), is HEAVY on “classic” European cooking techniques. So much so that the food we grew up eating, a cooking style that we’ve mastered, isn’t considered good enough because it’s not French cooking techniques. Why is that the standard? Why is formal training that centers (white) European techniques the norm??

It’s not about testing how well you can cook your go-to cuisine. & it’s not just Black chefs who struggle in that show with that adaptability and skills issue. To be a MASTER chef, they want to know that you can cook many different cuisines, using a wide array of ingredients, using many cooking methods, etc.

You guys are right, the apology section was awkward af. The punishment section definitely sums up why Fuhad has the inability to apologise to another man.

I swear James could convince me to watch any show. Even if I've hated it for years. I hear him talk about it, I want to watch it lol

Yeah. I'm Nigerian and believe me when I say Fuhad is actually way better than the rest of them. A lot of times, things happen and we're told to get over it as kids especially men. The pressure is much more on men. So I'm actually not surprised when he said Ellis should get over it.
