have you noticed, if a vegan comes round you house they will expect you to go out of the way and prep them a vegan meal, but if you go round theirs they expect you to eat what they eat..

As a Midlander you should know that cod is never served with the skin on in the Midlands, only haddock is.

I have got to visit Britain for fish n chips! Are they the best "In the world". Great videos and downright honest reviews!

Another enjoyable video, loved their Vegan options but wouldn't say it isn't normal. I mean plenty of well known foods/drinks that are just naturally Vegan for thousand of years like: Chips, Nuts, Salad, Mayo, Dark Choc, Apple, Oranges....etc I'm not Vegan but however am Lactose Intolerant/Allergic to Whey so have to watch what I eat/drink! Looking fwd to the next videos.

I'd like recommend my local pub for Fish & Chips. It's called The Boothwood in Rishworth (Inbetween Oldham and Halifax). It has has something called the Retro menu between 12-6pm every weekday and you can always get Haddock, Beef dripping chunky chips and Mushy Peas for £8.25 and I think its up there as one of the best I've ever had.

We love our fish and chips like you do but have you ever tried a Yorkshire fishcake which is a favourite of mine, it is fish between two large slices of potatoes fried in batter, the best ones you can get anywhere are at the Golden Hind in Brighouse whose fish and chips are top notch, worth a try.

Hi Lee, me again!! Thanks for that!! im on the M4 working nights in Swansea and all ive got is a bloody ginsters pasty!! Oh and those cod are probably from the cold waters of northern Norway where i go fishing every year. The place is loaded to the gills, pardon the pun, with cod!! So much so that they are a pest to try to get through them to the other species!! The Norwegians ive come across generally prefer other fish for the table and trawlers aren't allowed in the fjords so the cod are everywhere!! Normal food, Normal food, Normal food, Normal food!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Love this place. Their mushy pea fritters are really tasty and although I want to try the vegan options, the fish is just too good to miss.

They did look good! No grease on the paper really 👌

Fish n chips look amazing, making me hungry. The mushy peas & curry sauce does look good, friendly staff & spotless shop, can't fault it 👍

Just visited this chippy and in my opinion I can only give it an 8/10. I had the large cod with chips and mushy peas. The chips and mushy peas were good however the fish was slightly greasy, so much so that the batter (which wasn’t very crispy) had stuck to the grease proof wrapping). One thing to there credit was they gave me 2 fish bites free as they broke my fish when putting it in the box. (Maybe if batter was crispier it wouldn’t of broken). Other thing is with the wet weather and shop having a tiled floor it was extremely slippy, they did have some mats down but with large gaps of exposed tiles in between people were slipping.🙈

Looks good but as I said when you’re back up in Scotland central area try bridge of Allan water cafe as I get 1 every week and never fails😛. Plus did you the card box you ate from is not recyclable due to have grease on it. It’s like pizza boxes they are recyclable if there no grease on it but soon as grease is on it.

Hiya Lee! Sorry but the curry sauces looks like gravy as it’s very dark like you say. Nice crispy fish but glad you said small chips as not many there. At least you are the right height to use the roof of your car to eat those. I’d never reach mine as I’m a short a*** plus I have a crossover so I’d never get mine on the roof 😂 take care 😘👍🏻

Quality fish and chips Lee,mushy peas and curry sauce had a good consistency to them,all that for £10 pound,that’s great value,definitely worth a 10

Personally, I prefer the batter to be thicker than that and more of a golden brown than pale yellow. The actual fish inside looked great - the chips also looked reasonable. However, the cardboard box is a let-down - I always find that fish and chips sweat in cardboard and are usually soggy by the time I get home. 6/10 for me. Out of interest - have you ever tried Fields Fish & Chips near Durham? I found it online after your video on the Upton fish and chip shop. Like the Upton shop, they use a coal-fired range and cook with beef dripping. I would love to see a review of it.

They look good fish a bit thin but if it tastes good, my mum use to put a bit of sugar in mushy peas when cooking them back in the day.

Pacific Halibut makes the best battered fish in my humble opinion. Ling cod for those that like a little more richness. A lot of people love battered salmon and oysters here on the west coast of Canada as well.

Just because some foods are ethically sourced doesn't mean rubbish or expensive. These guys seem to have that balance, good on 'em. Will vote!!!

Good morning, Lee. I would highly recommend The Feel Good Cafe (Old Fire Station) Gipton Approach, Leeds for an incredibly good and good value Full English breakfast. Friendly staff including fire fighter's memorabilia to film on a vlog.

The implication here seems to be that vegan is the norm. It's not. You were right with your initial statement 'normal or vegan'. My worry is that the vegan agenda is overshadowing real dietary requirements. People who are Coeliac for example rarely get a choice but this is being eclipsed by veganism which is a choice. Now we have a position where food producers will.make allowance for vegans but other requirements are not being catered for in many cases because of the Vegan fashion trend.
