My neighbor’s little Yorkie didn’t like men. When any man walked by their fence he went crazy, growling and barking. In contrast, he would either bark only a few times or not at all when a woman walked by. He was fine with boys but not big men. He was so sweet with us girls growing up. RIP Buddy

After adopting 5 months ago our dog loves my wife but still is afraid of me. She barks and growls and sometimes bites me. I try to keep my distance and let her alone but there no improvement over 5 months. In fact it’s getting worse.

Dogs are smart

we adopted a dog a month ago and he always afraid of my husband. He barked and pee allover when my husband come in the room. Any suggestion how to help, please.

What did you do? Our dog is also afraid of men. I keep my distance and give him his time. Also having treats and staying low might help.

Because living beings are intimidated by strong and beautiful things. We only look at male mammals when both male and female are at sight . But we will also be more scared of them . Not to mention when we make close bond , we prefer it with males and thats because the power converts from threat into a form of comfort and protection.

I don't know why, but my dog douse not like my uncle, she constantly barks at him, but around other people who are 6 ft tall my dog Cherokee is very nice to them, I'm just so curious, she probably had a past life to where her and my uncle were enemy's my mom trys to convince Cherokee to stop being a little agresive. I don't know why Cherokee douse not like my mom's brother.

Yes. I have done it w several dogs alleged to not like men. Slow, easy soft reassuring voice, quiet, gentle, physically at their level, patient .... usually no more than 2-3 minutes.

Even a dog can tell the difference between a man and a women.

Not all men act like this to dogs

thank you! I always had 3 or more dogs, but my husband never had a pet in his life - not even a goldfish-, you put in easy words things so I can explain him, I only yell at him ACT LIKE A GIRL!

I’d have anxiety weather I was in a room filled with woman or men actually I’d be more anxious in a room of woman cuz there more likely to talk to me but men just ignore you

Well as a man i would also feel safer around room full of random woman than of random men . But when it comes to close bond I will always prefer a male over a female , cause males are stronger , the threat converts into a form a protection and comfort once you make a close bond .

Masculine energy being more intense than feminine just ain’t true. Maybe different though.

Males look more intimidating than female it's just facts . Nobody looks at a female when both male and female mammals are on sight .. Males are stronger and way more beautiful naturally , we also fear them .

​@@tiana4102Sacred and intimidated doesn't mean dislike . People are scared of lions and male mammals more than female ones . But we all know the male counter parts are way more attractive to the eyes and also scary to be around because of their strength. Unless you have a close bond with them with changes into a form of protection and comfort and later they will choose a close bond with make than with a female . Lions are afraid of other lions as well but still have the best bonds with males closer to them than other females . They don't respect female that's the reason lmao.

Dogs are afraid of men for the same reason why and introverted women are nervous near men
