    If your house humidity is too high or low, the resin won't cure. Also, if your heat in your home is too low, it won't cure properly...more than 77 degrees is needed for proper curing. Ideally, spring and fall are your best times to achieve this.

    Thank you! this video was helpful explaining some stuff i had read and was a little confused about. i do have a question through, the mold i used isn’t very deep, i did pour on a level surface and the depth all the way around is the same so i know it’s even. i didn’t use art resin but my question is, since my design was thin to begin with, does that mean it may remain bendy? or does that not matter as long as it’s even?

    If you mixed the resin incorrectly, can you do another coat or properly mixed resin on it as a second coat?

    I bought pixies cups with measurements on them. I had bendy problem and several projects later i discovered that the printing of measurements had a flaw. I still buy pixies cups but I check then with medicine 1 oz cups first. Everytime I use new cup I check measurements. I wipe out cups so I reuse a cup many many times. Hope this may help someone else. Hugs Sheryl 💙🎃💙

    I'm curious to know if the type of resin can also be a factor? Also, thanks for this great explanation!

  • @DevonyAnastasia

    Definitely a factor in how long it takes to cure! For example MagicResin’s Art resin cures solid in less than 24 hours, but their deep pour resin takes up to a week.

    Hi, I'm new to your channel. I really love the aesthetic and the way you explain. Do you mind if I ask you where I can find your coaster molds or something similar with edges similar to yours?

    Hello, I love your work! Please, I have a question, I have little mistakes on the top surface of my coasters and then I sand them out, but it leaves scratches and a matte look. What advice do you give me or a solution to make it back to normal? Also, do I have to use a scale to measure my resin or is it fine if I could use measuring cups with a 1:1 ratio? Thank you for your help!

  • @DevonyAnastasia

    Hi there! Measuring cup works fine :) I would not suggest sanding down the top of the coaster, I only ever sand the bottom because as you said it can leave small scratch marks. You can try pouring a second clear layer over the top and it will get rid of those scratch marks!

    My is still soft. Its been 3 weeks. Not thin, even mix, deep mica Scarlett color. Same mix was used on a coaster, same as the one that won't cure. One cured one didnt.

    I’ve used 4 different varieties of resins, one seemed less hard, but the others cured very hard but still softened in sun or heat. Now I’m starting to cast trays and larger pieces, and don’t want them sagging all over at a show.So I can’t figure that out- do all resins soften when they get warm?

  • @DevonyAnastasia

    @DevonyAnastasia

    2 жыл бұрын

    Yes! Most resins have a heat resistance of around 120F, and above that temperature they will soften. However, when they cool down again they will harden. This video has some info on it! kzread.info/dash/bejne/iXillLCvYMvJmag.html

    Hello, I have a bad first experience with Art Resin product, I did my first coaster with ArtResin brand, after more than 72 hours I check it , it is nice!! Now it more than month but when I try to fold, I feel that it can be folded hardly "bendable", not strongly solid ? it still bendable~!!!!! I don not apply ink or pigments, I mix well with equally amount of ArtResin product I try my second attempt more careful to adhere the instructions but the same second bendable coaster!!! and many other I am not sure if temperature matters?? or what?? as I kept it in a wooden closet cover with plastic cover. As I searched ArtResin not suitable for coaster as it is bendy!!!

    Was the coaster too thin? Warmth/heat also makes coasters bendy but when they cool down again they harden
