Dealers know what they are doing,they purposely ordered cars that a small percentage of buyers can afford over time, their trump card? can't buy a V8 anymore. Even if they sit on lot for 2+ years.....still a phatty profit with insane " market adjustment" in the end.

These cars get stolen a lot people now in days gets paranoid looking through the window that there charger and challengers don’t get stolen and the price are so high

They are not selling for several reasons. 1. Dodge keeps coming out with STUPID "special editions," aka a new badge, a wrapped hood, and a $8k price bump. 2. They are old and boring. There is NOTHING really special about them because everyone and their mother has one. 3. You buy it today, and it may get stolen tomorrow. No one wants a new car that stresses you out to park anywhere. They have been the same car for over a decade. 4. The prices of them do not match what you get. The fit and finish are mediocre at best. They lost their excitement years ago, and now folks are finally realizing it. NEXT!

I just got a Shaker RT a few months ago... I was about to get a Scat.. but I simply chose to save the 10-15k. Ive driven both.. and yea the Scat is more fun to drive... but its not 10-15k more fun imolmao. Ima still get a hellcat in a couple years.. but if they want those cars to sell.. gota come down off those prices a bit. There are alot of people who arent speed demons.. they just want that V8 sound and move faster than the average car on the road.

I can confirm this! I live near a Dodge dealership and saw a grey Charger Scatpack Widebody with a $65k sticker price! I ain’t paying that much for a scat lol!

20k markup for a car that won’t have support after about 7 years is crazy..

I think the cars being stolen caused a major issue too. I’ve known many people to sell their cars due to the way they’ve been targeted. Friend has his hellcat for a month and is already having issues with people trying to follow him. Also, since so many are stolen, the market is flooded with cheap parts.. parts so cheap that $30k-40k can get you a Chrysler 300 hellcat red eye swap. Which is less than what the new scats cost.

I bought a brand new scat in 2019 with extended motor coverage, only had 4 miles on it when I bought it and I paid 40,000 for it. I sold it one year later with 9000 miles on it and they sold it for $46,000

Six months ago I did see the dealer lot FULL of Hellcats and they're still there. They tried to sell me on a $40K mark up and I laughed in their face. This dealer now has even more of these cars jammed on to the lot. From what I've heard, they aren't the only cars that aren't selling.

Last month during the holiday season, I traded-in my 2020 Challenger Scat Pack widebody and got a 2022 Challenger Hellcat widebody with 10,000 miles on it for $71,000 plus tax, license and extended warranty. I feel I got a fair deal on mine considering how expensive they have gotten.

Yeah im a mustang guy also. Luckily mustangs aren’t terrible expensive. I think for the 2024 S650 you can get it brand new for around 44k, if I’m not mistaken. Or a 2023 mustang gt for 35k low miles. Plus it’s faster than the other competitors and easier to get the most power to mod.

I think it’s a combination of things…prices too high, trade in values too low, ev craze, interest rates, and people waiting on dodge dragging their feet releasing anything official on their full ‘24 lineup offerings. Prices still aren’t low enough considering all the cars getting repo’d or buyers getting out of way upside down situations due to markups. I was considering trading in my charger SPWB for a challenger SPWB in manual. Not sure now since the gap between trade in and asking price has gone noticeably up

They are wayyy overpriced. My 2020 Challenger M6 Scat Pack was $41K out the door. But my 2021 M6 Wide Body Scat Pack was $48k out the door (Both were ordered). I heard that some folks are paying $60k plus for Scat packs NO WAYYYY. My GTR was $100K out the door.

It’s honestly played out and outdated.Ive had a Hellcat and a scatpack.The combination of its long in the tooth design,lowlifes stealing them and the hood acting like animals in them isn’t making them as appealing anymore

My local dealership is the same way. All colors available in scatpacks slim and wide body's. 3 hellcats in b5 blue on the showroom floor. Not to mention the used scats settings on the used lot and 1 destroyer gray hellcat challenger.

In my opinion why get one of the mopars, when other manufacturers are stepping their game up when it comes to performance and interior quality.🤷🏽‍♂️ You can hold off for a year or two to wait until the Mustangs get their ecu unlocked to tune and their interior is already stepped up. You can even go German with the rising platform of the B58 and S58 and pay the same price or less than a marked up charger/challenger.

I'm in the market for a Hellcat so your video resonated with me. I may get one or it may not be in the cards. One thing I'm not going to do is pay MSRP or over. In the meantime it's fun to watch the table turn on the dealerships especially because they're in disbelief that the same shit they tell car buyers and sellers also applies to them. There's a dealership in California trying to sell a 2020 WBHC Daytona edition with 3K miles for $84,995. The original sticker was $4,270 LESS. But let's not forget that the original MSRP included the destination charge ($1,595) and a $2100 gas guzzler tax. When you factor those in they're asking 7,965.00 more than its original MSRP. Did I forget to mention that when new the vehicle had a warranty, no miles and was four years 'younger'. What would that same dealership say to me if I brought that same vehicle in and wanted them to give me almost 8K over what I paid for it four years later?

In 2020 got my '09 V6 Challenger for $14k at 36,000 km on the odometer. A great deal~

My local dealership has 39 new Chargers and 37 new Challengers. 7 of each used. Now that is all styles but I drove by yesterday and was amazed. 2 years ago when I bought my 21 Challenger Scat it was only one on the lot. Maybe had 10 Charger and Challengers total on lot.

Way overpriced, outdated vehicles! These things run on platforms dating back to the 70s!!! Handling (suspension) on all models is garbage unless you get into the demon. Poorer gas mileage, even on the six cylinder. Paint quality is also shameful! Major problems with imperfections/😮junk in the paint and water spotting as dodge uses cheap water-based paint! Two door cars are useless for most people! An expensive two-door car is even more useless! Not everybody likes, retro looking vehicles! Especially a vehicle that has looked pretty much the same since 2008!!! They sold well while they were cheaper and competed much better within their segments. Price sells!!! Insurance rates have gone through the roof on these cars as well. Engine tapping on the hemi engine “no Bueno”. These things are tanking in value big-time even though dealerships continue to list these at crazy prices (they are in denial). They don’t understand that the auction dictates the market for the most part! Nobody likes Yesterdays news!!! I think this sums up why they are not selling. Oh yeah, and have you ever tried getting good customer service from Chrysler? Good luck! About the worst you can get.

Ended up getting a c7 corvette instead of a scat due to their high prices this month. I'll always have appreciation for dodge but there's just a lot of problems all around.

Dude, there are a few reasons. 1 main reason, dealer prices not to mention dealership markup. 2 it’s winter, kinda hard to enjoy a rear wheel drive muscle car in snow. 3 the fed haven’t lowered the interest rate yet, I think it’s still hovering around 7-8%. And lastly, I could be wrong on this one and it doesn’t apply to me 4 I think people are burnt out on the styling of the Charger, Challenger and Durango bodies. I think when Dodge issued the Last Call and the didn’t change up the body styling the the above mentioned vehicles, the shot them selves in the ass with that. Thanks for the video keep it up.

I’m happy I picked up my 2010 SRT Challenger in Plum Crazy with Manual for $15K & 20K miles on one owner! People really be forgetting about the SRT8s & they are way better built for boost unlike the 5.7/6.4 and make more hp & torque then the modern day 5.7

Some are swapping out motors/transmissions with dodge 300s or some are junkyards fixers gets from auctions from repos and now integrated with magnums I've seen in hybrid builds now where does the track hawk stands in prices today.

2023 Charger Hellcat will cost $85,000. That is with a $6000 discount. Most people don't want to pay $91,000 for a car. Especially a car that has a monthly payment that is more than some people's mortgage on their home. No one wants a $1700 a month car payment. Unfortunately, it seems these cars get just a little bit of mileage and their value falls through the floor.
