Why are Frontosa Cichlids so Mistreated?

In today's episode, we tell one of the lesser-known tales in the aquarium hobby. When we discuss fish that are routinely mistreated, things like common plecos, goldfish, red-tail sharks, and Arowanas are likely to be at the top of the list for many. While their stories are completely valid as we have discussed many times on this channel, the story of the Frontosa is no less important. These gentle giants are truly fantastic, rewarding fish to keep, however, they are ones that are all too often mistreated for various reasons. In this episode, we cover why it is so rare to see happy Frontosa, and what some of the requirements are that you should consider if you are looking into keeping these majestic fish.
