I've always had love for the replicas for many reasons one of the biggest benefits is that maintaining it is affordable unlike lambo parts and repairs people are just haters screw them they probably drive a shitty ass Honda.. Canadian too eh? Lol right on 🇨🇦

I have spent over half of my life working on the real supercars. I have nothing but appreciation for the people that build nice repli-cars. There is an art to them all that are nicely built. While working at a Ferrari dealership in 1987 I had a Dino 246 replica that even my boss did not know was fake till I told him. I did not build it I bought it that way from a man in California. Good replicas are hard to find. I am glad you like yours. Also, those Lambos before Audi bought Lamborghini were truly little more than the world's ultimate kit cars. I don't mean that in a bad way. The cars were shimmed everywhere. You had to keep a running count as to where and how many shims were in place or you would not get the car back together right again. I love Lambos but the truth is the truth.

I'm glad you bought the one you have and not that other white one, it looked like a kit car, your looks authentic. I really liked that black one , too bad the roof is too low. I would need one higher too, I'm 6'4". Even DeTomaso Panteras had low roofs that people over 6' couldn't drive without tilting their heads. When Magnum P.I. chose the Ferrari 308 GTS for Tom Selleck, they had to take the brackets on the bottom of his seat off and bolt the seat directly to the floor because he's my height and when they did scenes with the roof on, which were only a couple, Tom could actually fit in there with the roof on. Cheers, I'm Canadian too eh !! lol

this is the best replica of a countach I've ever seen and I'm a diehard lamborghini nut since I was 8 (36 now) the only thing other than hearing it i can remotely spot is the rear fascia. it's obviously modeled after a 1988 1/2 model with the side skirts but they were the quatrovalvole engines. I would switch the s badge to the quatrovalvole badge if possible. that's the carbureted engine cover too. the fuel injected has the 2 humps. not sure how many carbureted cars were made in this time frame before they fully switched to fuel injection. I know Harry Metcalf has a carbureted car. I love it. I usually gawk at the replicas but this one is quite good!

Thanks for the comments. In the kit world the fuel injection hoods were rare to find or you had to customize it, same for the logos. Kinda had to make do.

That is a very realistic looking replica. Especially the rims. You always see strange rims on the Kit Cars vs. Real Deal, but yours looks perfect. If only you could do something with the exhaust sound to make it sing a bit in higher notes. You have something to be very proud of there regardless.

Great story. I bought a Diablo a couple of years ago, the real deal. It is a project car and needs work. I to sit in the garage sometimes and just look at it. Maybe in a year or so, the interior, paint and some small engine issues are resolved I can enjoy it again.

wow I can't believe you have this car. Luc started building this car from scratch, he had rented a small space in my father's warehouse way back. When I asked him what he was building, and he responded a replica countach.... i quietly walked away and laughed. But slowly but surely, I was surprised as it came to life. He actually had a friend with a real countach that would show up and he would take measurements off it and mold pieces. anyways, congrats, that car is pretty much the best replica out there.

I agree with you, I think I would spend a lot of time sitting in the garage staring at it too. The Lamborghini Countach got me interested in drafting and design as well as machining, fabrication, and engineering when I was in high school much like yourself, the thought of buying a replica however never really crossed my mind (until recently) when I noticed to real car only got 5 miles per gallon of fuel and that the quality of the replicas had improved considerably with the addition of carbon fiber and Kevlar composites instead of just fiberglass, amazingly bringing the prices of the replicas down to a more affordable ball park price point. I'm looking at a freshly built one here on KZread right now for around $20,000.00. While it may still be a few years off for me it's nice to know the replicas of these cars are becoming within financial reach.

Since many kits are home build the owner can fix it themselves. Buy another kit and swap parts. Or send it to a custom shop or hotrod shop that are use to unique vehicles.

Bruce sorry to hear about the issue. send pic so your car would love to see it. Our cars could be different in setup but i know my cars drive shaft cv joints are to the extreme. If yours are the same it could ware premature and cause an issue or the drive shafts themselves could have an unbalance. Issues are tough with these cars sometimes the hotrod or race shops are better for these issues than a regular mechanic if you are not capable of doing it yourself. Let me know how you make out.

I'm not mechanically inclined but where can you take a lambo replica to have tune ups, repairs such as replacing the clutch, etc.... Even oil changes. I certainly don't want to take it too a jiffy lube for oil changes. I am looking way down the line of owning a lambo diablo replica.

It's certainly got the look. Very authentic!. Shame about the engine sound though, seeing that sexy lambo, then hearing what sounds like an old pickup truck with exhaust driving away. .. One of the best things about a big lambo is hearing that V12 song!! Maybe one day dude can find a used BMW, Mercedes or Jag V12 and swap it in there.

Not currently, working on upgrading the interior to replicate an 88, then probably, curved glass on doors, rear exhaust grill, then maybe an engine upgrade. That engine has been trouble free for 10 yrs and never let me down so I have a hard time moving it up the list.

how much do replicas like these go for ? i don't really care for speed, just looks

My name is Peter Jackson Gary Thompson and I took a mould off an original car its on internet I then set Prova Desgns up with Paul we had lots of fun and made good money, when Paul took a mould off a Testerosa, ferrari got angry and dlivered the paperwork in a JCB, .nice to see people like you who really care. thanks Peter

Peter Jack Thanks Peter. I remember seeing many pictures of your cars in the kit magazines. Must have been an interesting time with much excitement! I do recall reading your blog I believe it was. Being in Canada, I paid more attention to the North American builders although I think many were using copies of your copies.... Lots we use FAC in LA ill email You, look at my red c3 corvettei in amazing Thailand, Ive just bought an XJR jag whit,e, cars a 4 times the price here, import duty, and there a re 30 to 35 c3 here, PJ.

I noticed your Lamborghini has the famous Ferrari Testarossa fire lines at the bottom of the car near the rear tires. I like the way they look on your car.
