Why Amazon CEO Andy Jassy Is Worried About Innovation In Western Countries

Amazon CEO Andy Jassy sat down with Fortune CEO Alan Murray at the World Economic Forum in Davos on January 18, 2024. He answered questions related to how his leadership differs from Jeff Bezos, and the future he’s imagining for Prime Video, AI, and health care.
When asked about the biggest challenges and opportunities businesses face in the new year, Jassy explained that he believes that generative AI, and how to implement it, will be the at the top of every company’s agenda. He also digs into some of the technologies Amazon is developing around large language models, including their Trainium and Inferentia chips.
Jassy gave an update on Alexa, saying that generative AI will help Alexa become the “world’s best personal assistant.”
When asked about how his leadership style is different from his predecessor, Jeff Bezos, Jassy explained that different world circumstances call for different styles in leadership, but that the core leadership principles the founder established over the years are still very much present in the company.
Another topic of discussion was how to ensure that sustainability is kept in focus when developing powerful AI models that require large amounts of computing power.
When asked what “the next big thing at Amazon” will be, Jassy spoke in detail about the company’s efforts to democratize broadband internet with its Project Kuiper satellites, and how he hopes the tech giant can revolutionize health care with One Medical.
And finally, when asked about the antitrust case facing the company, Jassy showed confidence that the law will be on their side, but also expressed concern about innovation in western countries being at risk due to over-regulation.

I am more worried about the fact that “innovation” means making loads of ppl redundant.

One Medical today already achieved ? In UK, today, I went to NHS, for an appointment, the reception told me to use tablet just next to me. Then after answering some 20 simple but right to the point questions (with interactive manner, each next question seems depending on my answer of previous question), then it said, within 2 days, I will get reply. Then within 2 hours, I got email saying prescription ready at reception, please come. The reply was written by a real human doctor, with caring tone and good advices. Same day, I got the real care by balanced combined services: AI x Human specialist. Wonderful UK.

Andy jazzy doesnt want to talk about the new commercials on all prime video. You can pay 36.00 a year along with 140.00 a year for Amazon prime for no commercials. Andy jazzy. Is that name real?

Nope, China needs worry their tech, since US restricted Nvidia AI advanced chips to China, tech in China being obsolete with days, not that much neurons network apps in China if available they’re pretty trash, but in the same time AI is taking off in the US
