Now that is being real. Letting people know that you live by what you preach. Eat to stay healthy. You are showing your audience that flexibility in diet (or lifestyle) might be necessary, albeit for short term, to help with issues. Well done, Doc. Keep it real.

@@TtvFortew3 another interesting question, sugar or fat is bad, is this possible ? either both are good or even bad ( no need ), because sugar turns in fat ( can be stored ) if not used, ( in your and by your body ). and if glucose ( 1 part of- sugar / carbs / starches ) is needed for energy, some fat is turned to glucose. what many doctors, of all kinds say. well, sometimes i have this, wow effect about the whole world. take care.

In Shawn and my case, I recommend adding soft foam mattress. The nightly pain was horrible. My mattress just arrived, and I would say 80% less pressure (Left), but I am still needing to sleep on my right . I am a little disappointed that my foam is not as soft as the couch or daughter's bed. Softer means less pressure on the problem spot and less chance of getting hurt by laying in bed. Getting old sucks. Unfortunately, I am Shawn's age. 😂. Neck and neck on our thick heads of hair, too😅

I also injured my Neck similarly in Jiujitsu, Muay Thai about 12 years ago. The best relief I found is doing Dead hangs for 30 seconds to a minute x 3 sets 5 days a week. I’m 44 now and pain free most the time.

I suffered damage to all the disks in my cervical spine when I was 16. I did not receive treatment until I was 44, when they fused C5/C6 because one entire side of the disk was gone. I had advanced cervical stenosis. It has been 18 years since that surgery. I have been Keto/Ketovore for the last five years. There appears to be a correlation between high ketone levels and reduced nerve pain. I am also finding that eating a high collagen diet from animal protein sources (like homemade bone broth and eggs) seems to be helping. I wish you well on your current healing journey.

As a chiropractor, i see patients going through this quite often. Its somewhat of a struggle mentally for me because i feel bad for patients ive taken care of for years, and despite best efforts, that nerve is just too irritated to do much help for a time. Surgery never an option i push patients into going for, as ive seen many just get worse and wore afterwards. Telling them they have to ride it out and take meds and keep moving and nerve floss and therapy like traction and massage and mobilization etc...and it will just be a matter of time and it will subside. Hard to watch patients and loved ones suffer as they heal very slowly. It will subside...ride it out. Diet will be a huge part of healing the neuroinflammation. But time unfortunately is the key....love your channel. Ty for your content. I show my patients your videos as inspiration.

I injured my neck at the C6 level, whip lash, type injury. The pain was outrageous. I used to drop things like a coffee cup on the regular. I declined surgery. Realistically, it took about 2 years to have significant healing. It still bothers me, but much, much, better, compared to before.

I absolutely love my handheld ultrasound machine. Put my husband back together. He had an injury, after using a sulfur medication for a MRSA infection. He lifted one cinder block and one of his trap muscles in the back. Snapped. He couldn't lift his arm couldn't do anything. 70 dollars for the use of the ultrasound machine at our chiropractor's office needed at least three times a week No we did it everyday. Best $600 I ever spent. I did heat and ice therapy three times a day. Stretching. When he thought about it he stretched. Which was a lot. We started with walking his fingers up the wall. Within 7 months he could lift his whole arm up. Eight months he could lift 20 lb. Within 1 year he could wing a sledgehammer. Strongly... The chiropractor was quite proud. Absolutely. I bought your equipment. And I did it myself. On the daily. Worked extremely hard on my husband. I love him so much... ❤

I was in car accident and had brain injury and spinal neck damage, I could not move my neck at all, locked, so many other symptoms that would be impossible to list here. Basically bed ridden and specialists couldnt help at all and would not operate. After 7 years they labelled me disabled forever, I then heard of NUCCA, National Upper Cervcial Chiro Assoc, I am telling you, this changed my life so that I can be among the living, with 1 treatment I was able able to turn and raise and lower my neck. Amazing, no surgery no drugs no pain and it took 5-10 min, It was a slow recover for all other symptoms to subside and I am partially liimited to what I can do, and have to be careful. But this is why I am now mostly carnivore hoping that this will help with more healing. MY injury higher in the spine and do not know if NUCCA would help Dr Baker or not, but worth checking into and having to resort to surgery

I had a neck fusion C3-C6 with hardware. When I awoke from the surgery my left arm and right arm were paralyzed. Before the surgery I could do 100 pushups without taking many breaths. Hard to believe that area of the neck in nerve’s controls so many parts of the body. That’s why it’s imperative to keep on strengthening and carnivore along with prayer. I am no longer paralyzed but have left side weakness. I believe prayer and carnivore and weight lifting helped in nerve growth. I use a neck pillow to sleep or a firm pillow. Now my lower spine is an issue but no more surgeries for me! Wishing you the best Dr. Baker in your decisions ahead.

Depends. This is a real emergency situation that could cause permanent numbness, which means permanent nerve damage. C6 and C7 fusion is not really life ending. Matter of fact, this is the best case scenario if a fusion in the Cervical is needed due to the level and you dont lose but maybe a few degrees of movement. The main issue is permanent paralysis in his hand and arm could be at stake. But he may only need a disc replacement or in some cases, disc trimmed via ultrasonic surgery. He should be tracking daily if he is losing function. If he is, the longer he waits, the more the nerve dies.

The body continually tries to reject the foreign bodies, causing grown of blood vessels around the affected area, Neuromas appear and fire off at will…..a osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis start to appear in the regions above and below the surgery site/s. Pain is usually never stopped by surgery, even though stabilisation may have been achieved. And so it cascades, or has done for me. That’s really hard. I had that exact injury with half of my spinal column compressed. I was in so much pain that I had to tell everyone for months before my surgery that I had severe allergies because I constantly cried, even on nerve blockers. I had no choice but to get surgery in 2015 with a disc replacement. It was amazingly effective, I recovered quickly, and have had no problems since then. Just make sure to take care of your neck movements so that you don’t have to get another surgery down the road.

Carnivore is not a diet it’s just stupidity. Get over yourself you are not a lion. Your first instinct is not to jump at squirrels running by you. You have no claws. Your teeth are flat. Your stomach acid is weak. And unlike a lion you walk into a grocery store and use an imaginary credit system called money and walk out with a surgically severed piece of an animal that you will use electricity to cook. What is instinctive eating if most people's gut cultures have been disrupted? Would someone who is morbidly obese with an eating disorder do well eating "instinctually"? Probably about as well as a crack addict trying to make the habit sustainable. Baker is selling people a twisted fantasy to earn KZread ad revenue. He knows this diet is terrible for heart health, and that the results are only superficial and temporary. He knows most of his followers will probably end up on Ozempic or diabetes meds, and he doesn't feel any responsibility to prevent that with how far his reach is. The truth will be more apparent soon enough.
