Wow, After fasting yesterday. Waking this morning to despair texts from people in hospitals,people dying looking at the circumstances of my own family being separated from Jesus because of hurts brought on by by Christian leaders and denominational desputes.crying out to God...questioning my faith and God's faithfulness,but knowing where else would I go!turning to the psl 74:-80: Crying out like David... Did I really hear from you Lord did you give me this vision of a restored church here on earth?? Then I broke my fast feeling like a faliure.I did communion.hearing God say it's not your strength it's mine!! Your Best is nothing without me.. Knowing I needed to hear the word I went to KZread as I often do, and let the spirit lead me it lead.. He brought me to your word today.it was a right on time word! I immediately picked up my journal to write all that God had spoken to me this morning and when I opened it the scripture Romans 828 was on the top of the page.If that is not God speaking to us through His Holy Spirit power...Thank you Jesus for your spoken words and your prophets!

I like the chalkboard scene in Back to the Future II - Doc explains to Marty how they need to go back to the 1985 root of the evil (Biff dominated) reality - in order to cancel the effect of the Sports Almanac. Every part of their reaility then rotates around that one change - same as when the root of our evil nature (distrust of God) is replaced with trust (faith) - such is a new creation. Sin in our lives is then a 'Dead Man Walking' as the ripple effect sees hope spread from our heart to the outer parts of our personality.

Bill I am a bit confused on speaking in tungs because I hear about people spontaneously speaking tungs with no control over it ,but my Dad says I speak by faith what do you think? How can I pursue this further?

I don't believe people speak in tongues with no control. The bible says "the spirit of the prophet is subject to the prophet." There's almost always a measure of control or influence we have in matters - it's by God's design.

Are there any specific things I can look out for or manifestations that happen presence, peace, revelation, exc.? how do I discern whether or not it is spiritually affecting me opposed to speaking random gibberish?
