I’ve owned my 2010 Brera TBI for 4 years. Mines touring grey, black leather, carbon dash, centre console and steering wheel insert. My car has 19” wheels TI and TI steering wheel. Mine may not be worth a lot though as it’s done 230kms, but I love it.

I bought a red 2.2 JTS last June for €9k!! and It's near perfect. I can see already it's worth at least 12k here in Italy. And it's fantastic. It drives great and really turns heads. Easy to work on too. Just buy one!! This guy is spot on!!

I got a 3.2 Q4 from 2006 for €7k brought into the NL from Italy with only 160k kilometers in beautiful red. So happy with the car and with the idea in mind that I would make money on the car

@@MrStijnhendriks AH nice! The 3.2.. I was tempted but found a great one in Alfa Rossa colour and the 2.2JTS is ok and not so terrible on fuel consumption but I would have go the 3.2 if I had found one. But the engines on these, people complain, but it's like dating a beautiful woman and complaining she can't cook. Who cares?! ENJOY!! Bring it home to Italy one day. I'd be happy to meet up for a thrash around the Alps.

What about the spyder version? I personally own one, and i’m absolutely in love with her! It’s a 2.4 5 cylinder turbo diesel engine, with manual gear box and alcantara all over the interiors… what else do I have to say? Oh yes it’s red ;) Other than that.. I also got a little extra power, and now she makes 230 hp and 550 Nm of torque from 200 and 440 I know about her well known defects but I just don’t give a f*** 😂 IT IS SO DAMN GOOD trust me

I think the only two engines that will be interesting for collectors in the future are the 1750 tbi and the 3.2 V6, better if in the Q2 version. The tbi is the best to drive, but it's important to know that the M32 gearbox is quite fragile compared to the F40 of the 3.2

I personally prefer petrol every time, except some special diesels, like VW V10 or at least V8.

It depends on the year it was built and if it is a ti or not. This ain’t so easy. And double money ist not specific. The Tbi will be the best engine.

I never thought about it because Alfa Romeo has a lot of technical problems. But it just my opinion

They are very reliable, just like the 159. Just avoid the 3.2 v6 as all parts are unobtainium. The head engineer developed BMWs and a Rolls Royce model before being employed by Alfa.

The problem of the Brera is the GT V6 Busso.

The Brera platform and build quality is superior to the GT. The GT is more driver focussed than the Brera which is a tourer. The GT has the same platform as my 147 and 156 V6 2.5. My Brera is the 2.4 diesel, and some may laugh, but it's the best option with all the torque for the weight. Avoid the 3.2 because parts are unavailable. No timing chains, guides, tensioners etc. My mechanic buys scrap cars off the web just for the motors. My mate's 159 3.2 has been off the road for 3 years.

@@greygtv6 I could not agree more with all you re Points. The 2.4 Liter diesel is really fantastic. The point I am making is that the GT hast the Busso which is considered as one of the all time great engines. Young and Oldtimers are selected by their experience. It is a shame Alfa did No t give the Busso V6 to the Brera. My selection would have been different.

@@ohmannhey Of course you hit the nail on the head. The reason Alfa dropped the Busso was due to stricter emissions in the countries it was sold. But I'm not smart enough, nor enough of an engineer to understand why a Busso cannot be made to conform, while a Kia/Holden based motor can. Couldn't they re-engineer the heads and change the electronics. BTW, I still have my GTV6 with Alfa 75 3.0 motor and rear transmission parked in front of my Brera and next to the 159 with a broken 3.2 that's not going anywhere in a hurry.
