Why Africa is Attractive To China | China Is Africa's New Colonial Master | PLO Lumumba | Part 1

China is Africa's new colonial master according to PLO Lumumba. He is a staunch Pan-Africanist who has delivered several powerful speeches alluding to or about African solutions to African problems. Lumumba is the director of The Kenya School of Laws.
He is an admirer of Patrice Lumumba and Thomas Sankara, the deceased and assassinated revolutionary leaders of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Burkina Faso, respectively. Patrick Loch Otieno Lumumba has referred to and quoted them several times in his speeches.
This speech on how to make Africa work was delivered in Ghana in 2019. Part 2 is here - • Africa Was Designed To...

Which leaders? If they are indeed leaders, and have the inrerests of their people at heart.. there would be no need to convince them of anything. Rather, go to the heads of all these enterprises in your countries, and let THEM know that such and such practices of maximizing profits are being implemented in their name. Let them know that the people, who actually wield the power to bring this information t the world conscience via social media, can have them shut down in no time.. YOU are the leaders!! .

Our children's children for sure, what will they find four or five decades from now? We can, those with ideas needs to be supported to the core, but those in leadership are busy doing something different though not all but many of them.

As Africans we need to start understanding that we have an obligation, an obligation to protect our own, we have been on lala land for a very long time. It's high time we WAKE up and fight for what is right for us, we need to stop believing that some European God will come and save us. If we don't do it for ourselves then no one else will. Africa has to stop focusing on minor internal issues and start looking at the cardinal things that we must do. First step to that is to unite. We are stronger together, and the enemy knows it. Surprisingly, we know it but we seem to be ignorant.

I'm Polish and almost never hear about Africa or African matters in Polish media (apart from wars and migration crisis). I understand that mainstream media have their own agenda, but even in social media it is hard to find any lectures or interviews. I would be interested to learn more about situation of certain countries and not just continent as a whole. Also, I'd hope there are Polish investments being made in Africa since it's usually what brings two societies closer. As far as I know, Poland never participated in slavery nor colonization so the dialog could be much more leveled.

Where the colonizers decided how they were going to divide up Africa. Search king Leopold II. Research the 14 African countries that pay 500 billion in colonial tax every year to France. Research how mining destroys the soil and streams in Africa.

The light of the future will shine strongest in Africa. Nobody is placed in position by accident. All of us learn from the ways of other parts of the world - and we can take what works, and be very, very sure to leave the rest! Africa has kept something hidden from the destructive grope of westernisation, globalisation, modernisation and industrialisation. And that is the connection to the land and the ways of the ancestors. All other places in power right now have lost it. And every place that loses it inevitably becomes very ill, and becomes “a prisoner in his own home”. It’s never been more obvious than today... Move forward with pride, and confidence and with unity, and take with you who you are. Be always true to who you are!! We must honour each other! We all come from the same ancestor. Rumour has it all the world is African actually. Originally. Africa has kept her soul in tact longer than any other large landmass. Remember the ancestors! Remember the stories your grandmother told you! Honour the feminine, for every woman is the mother. Remember the voice of indlovu! And honour with that every animal and plant that the mother of us all gives life to. Without her, we all die. Without you, this world is going to get dim. Rise now into the glory that each and every African born human intrinsically knows. We from the west do not know what that feels like, trust me! But whoever lives among Africans as African recognises what I speak of. Peace be upon us! 🙏🏼

2:35 That's the key point of all the interactions between Africa and other regions. 3:37 to 4:10 Another key statement.

Wow this man🙌🏾🇿🇦🖤 I agree with all of it and I believe Africa is finally waking up. I just wish we could speed up the process but obviously nothing stable can be rushed into being. I pray we find our way and that we start seeing exactly what all these nations see and seek from our continent. Because if we remain ignorant of who we are and what we bring to the table we will continue being part of the menu while they devour us and our resources for cheap change.
