One of the most underrated motorcycles ever made. I bought my 2006 ZRX1200r brand new and I still have it. I will never sell it. It puts a big smile on my face every time i ride it. It surprises quite a few sports bike riders.

Mid to late 70’s I was a teenager in the Kawasaki dealership watching videos of the Kz900, zr1 etc.. My best friends big brother got the new Z. Been a fan from day one. Road a friends 2004 ZRX1200R a bunch of miles and lived everything about it. Turns out another friend bought it and has owned it for years. He says I will have it in a couple of weeks and I am very much looking forward to riding it right back to my childhood.

Great video!! I have had my ZRX1100 since it had 7 miles in 2000. She now has 43,xxx miles and is still running strong. I was one of the target buyers as I cut my teeth on a 1982 GPz750. A buddy had a 1981 KZ1000R which was the first replica of course. Everytime I ride this bike it takes me back in time, to being a teen on that GPz. Keep the great interviews and videos coming please! I have subscribed.

I love naked motorcycles. My first was a 1980 CB750f, many years ago now. Recently my street bike has been an r1200gs but when I decided I needed another 25hp or so it was in the form of a 2002 ZRX1200r. It's a beautiful motorcycle to look at, tons of fun to ride, comfortable for hours, and enough torque and hp for all but the craziest street riders. I love it!

I used to change my bikes every three or four years. Then i bought a zrx 1100 in 1997 and still own and drive it today. Since then I have never had the feeling of wanting to change my bike. And, btw, in 23 years I never had a technical problem, although I pepped it up a Dynojet kit, 4° advancer etc.

My first bike was an '83 Kawsaki GPZ 305 back in 1984 when I was 15. My neighbor had a sub-9sec '83 GPZ 1100. When I saw the ZRX, I instantly fell in love with them. I haven't ridden since I had my daughters (trying to be a responsible father), but I'm back in the market. I'm finding GPZ's still around, but there's a huge difference in a 25 year old bike and a 40 year old bike. It'll either be a ZX10r in my garage or a ZRX.

Took it for a test drive with my fiancé smoked tire across parking lot then rode a wheelie down the street , I was hooked. Salesman said to my fiancé I never seen that before! And still have my awesome green ELR today ! Wouldn't trade it for nothing! Was going to modify it but with prices going up iam gonna leave it stock and enjoy it ! Stay safe keith

It's my daily commuter, Ohlins, Raceteck, Muzzy Exhaust and ZX1100 cams, pistons so it makes 130 to 140hp. Owners group is the best there is. Nice video, love my zrx1200r 2008 model. One issue kawasaki should have addressed was the starter alt tensioner which backup and bash the clutch cover. To expand on some of Rickey's comments. The Highlands Kawasaki Turbo ZRX race bike was built with a Mr.Turbo ZRX kit using a fuel injection system from the ZX-11 turbo kit. Terry Kizer, Woody, and I installed the kit at the Mr. Turbo shop. The motor had MTC pistons and lock-up clutch, and Carillo rods. Additional oiling was added to the crank journals with a Mr. Turbo ZX-11 oil pan bypass kit.

Hi Eric!!! ZRX 1200R with a small turbo, stock motor with heavy duty valve springs. At 14psi the turbo doubles the power = 235Hp and almost doubles the torq = 156LbFt... Best times 6.0s 126mph 1/8, 9.22 150mph 1/4 and it'll power wheelie at 80mph in 3rd gear with no clutching... Old low res. videos playing at SGMP (private track rental). First is the 9.22 run (HOT summer day so didn't go 150mph) kzread.info/dash/bejne/mpWOmM-QltXZqJs.html And then just for fun I did a 2nd to 5th gear power wheelie to 1,000Ft... kzread.info/dash/bejne/YpZ6rqp_ermdZLw.html

@@andrearel3703No, inflation has caused the increase. Eggs, tires, milk, you name it on the shelf are selling at higher prices like everything else. Are some prices ridiculous? Absolutely. But the common factor across new and used anything is inflation and since the previous bubble(s) of covid, prices have settled a little but have not completely receded if any at all in some areas. Things are fx!ked and will probably remain that way. Trust me, I have talked and talked and tried to reason with some sellers and these days, they would rather sit on their high mile, overpriced automobile/bike than to lose that bubble value they thought they originally had. Ego and inflation has ruined everything.
