Why a good story makes food more sustainable: Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall at TEDxExeter

Ғылым және технология

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.

From the first episode of Escape to River Cottage......I have had the utmost respect for this man......The same applies to Jamie Oliver but in a different way

I've been watching his shows with great relish since I first heard this man existed but it's really great to see him give a lecture. It's quite refreshing to see such an even headed judicial mind at work taking world information that seems overwhelming and distilling into something we can use in our daily lives.

You have just saved me contextualising my lecture. Thank you and thank God for the mackerel in Richmond Park. Personally we fished for sticklebacks and eels. All were returned but back in the 1970's we considered it ok to walk home with the eels in buckets, make a pond, watch them for a week and then return them a week later unharmed.

Very moving and informative! Thank you so much. I will be adding this link to a blog post on 5/4/12- where I will begin to talk about Growing Healthy Kids- and the connection with food you talk about is exactly (albeit veggies) how I will address this concern. Thanks again!

If you are invited to speak on TEDx, I think you are not a self inflated buffoon. Do I misunderstand your meaning? Please elaborate.
