Why 93% of Golfers Can't Strike their Irons...

Спорт

This is why you struggle to strike your irons pure and make solid contact 👇
1. You are striking down on the ball as opposed to letting the circle of the golf swing collect the ball
2. You don't have enough weight on your lead foot at set up - BIG ONE
3. You aren't creating a simple circle in the golf swing
4. You don't have control over the club face
What's great is if you have any one of these faults in your golf swing they are really easy to fix and can make an instant impact on the quality of your ball striking not just with your irons but with your driver too.
For example if you want to hit your driver straight just getting the forearms aligned at address will be a real eye opener for you and if you want to strike your irons perfect simply shifting the swing circle towards the target will instantly improve strike.

ABOUT DANNY
-----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!
I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On KZread and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

Just read this, incredible … well done …. I’m the opposite … I’ve put hours and hours in, but I’m now so inconsistent, I can’t even bring myself to play more than once a week, because I don’t want hold up play or feel the frustration from my fellow playing buddies. Heartbreaking, but I’m thinking of not renewing my membership next year. Well done to to you though … so lovely to read ❤

Danny... I've watched 8-10 different pros on KZread to straighten out my swing for Driver and Irons/Fairway. I always come back to yours. Everyone learns things differently depending on how it's presented to them. It' just depends on how we're wired. You've helped fix my driver problems (still working on distance but, that's ok). Now, I'm working on Irons. I've been golfing for 35 years and doing thing wrong. When you're young is easier to compensate but, now I'm 72 and don't have the strength or flexibility I used to have and unless I correct decades of 'wrong', I just won't be able to break 90 consistently. I'm working on my inconsistent iron striking and your videos like this one is getting me back on plane. Thank you.

Happy Christmas and New Year! Thanks for providing quality lessons this year. They really help. I am getting fitted for irons in March and can’t wait to find out which ones will be best for me. I already know my current starter set with senior shafts and skinny standard grips are WRONG. Will be getting midsize grips (Plus 4) and regular graphite shafts with whatever irons I buy. Just had a 3.0 Super Stroke grip installed on my putter. Love the new feel. And the midsize grip installed on my driver is awesome.

I love learning about the golf swing from you Danny. You explain how to swing correctly in an easy to understand way. My handicap has improved 4 strokes over the past two years since I began to watch, learn, and practice what you teach. It used to be that when I swung the club I really didn't know where the ball would go. Now I am very confident that the ball will go where I aim. This is a very big deal for me and makes playing more enjoyable and consistent. I have many fewer days when I score 5 or more stokes higher than my handicap. I continue to recommend you to all of my golfing buddies. I see your viewership is growing so a lot of others must be doing the same thing! I cannot thank you enough.

Great tip Danny - I was combining this with “1 2 and pivot through” on the range today and noticed a significantly improved contact with the inside arc intention. Another fantastic video Danny. For someone who tends to stray back too much on the takeaway, it’s great to hear that it is ok to start with more weight on front foot. It almost feels like a reverse pivot but video of my swing shows otherwise after watching your video. I also enjoyed your description of why long irons are more difficult due to forward ball position. Thanks again.

I’m 80 years old and decided last year to return to golf for the physical activity. I last played golf in the mid ‘80s. Seems as if I’ve forgotten everything pertaining to a golf swing. I started watching numerous instructors on specific actions of the golf swing. Some were excellent, some weren't as effective. Watching you where you break down each aspect of the issue you are presenting allows me to grasp exactly what you intend for me to get. Thanks. Started last year with teetering breaking 100. Ended the year with 11.6 handicap. Can’t golf in the winter, so I make slow swings in my basement sing the instructions you have been providing. Can’t wait until the temperature gets to at least 60 deg F. Expect to be single digit handicap within a month. Thanks again.

Thanks Danny for all the weekend instruction which is THE most straightforward and easy to follow on the internet. Todays lesson is in the same vein. Just tried it and the key factor for me is keeping 60% of the weight on the front foot as this helps to stop moving off the ball, swaying. Dare I say, there is a element of stack and tilt in this technique.

great videos danny. the props you have to visualise the arc are really useful -- one thing that occurs to me that wasn't mentioned is that the longer the club shaft, the less curved those arcs are going to be, which (like moving the ball forward in the stance) also gives you less clearance to the ground before the low point. I don't know how significant this is but it was just a thought.

Used this at the driving range yesterday. The best I've hit the ball since I started playing (10 years). I'll be turning 60 in April and have arthritis in both shoulders but hit the ball with better flight, line and length with only a couple of slices out of about 60 balls hit! Cheers Danny!

That is a great tip. It was something that held me back for years. I believed that you needed to “load up” on the right side. Now I keep my weight on the left and lowered my hc for 20 to 8. Now putting is holding me back. Lol

Danny your videos are so easy to understand. I advise all golfers having trouble with their swing to video their swing. I had my daughter video my swing and l noticed that l was rolling my wrist too early sending the club into the "elephant graveyard", hope you like my Lion King reference. Keep up the good work.

Great video Danny. I've heard my local Pro' tell every new Student, 'golf is a game of opposites, you have to hit down on the ball to make it go up'. I believe right there and then he's made their journey so much more difficult because they now have the wrong mental picture of what they need to do. I've seen Golfers who've had lessons every week for months and still be hitting 'air' shots. It's a Shame, but thanks to videos like yours it might save a few from years of frustration and heartache. Have a Great Christmas Danny.

Love your positive explanations, Danny. My problem is that I know where the low point of my swing is, but I still keep chunking! 😣 There are so many online tips that I think I have all the advice rolling in my head instead of swinging freely. Hit a lot of 7 irons in the rivers that were between me and 130 yards yesterday 😖

Great Video.. you explained this so well., I know with me if I’m not striking my irons well I sometimes start to intentionally hit down. It might work once but then fails. Again this explains it well where now I’m just concerned with my arc and where it bottoms out thank you!!
