Thank you for uploading this incredible tune by Raphael Ravenscroft. Although Raphael didn't sing the vocals on this song, he did write, produce, and play sax on the song. I think had this song got a little more air time around 1979 from the U. S. Disc Jockey's at the time it would have skyrocketed up to the top of the U.S. Charts and Raphael Ravenscroft may have had a little bit different turn in his life. This is an incredible song. @@jessent5116 Ronnie Charles was the singer on this song. Incredible and powerful voice. It's absolutely PERFECT for this song. I wish this song had played in the US. It would have been a big hit. The disc jockey's pretty much determined what was going to be a hit or not by how much they played it on the radio. FM Radio was HUGE back in the 70s/80's era. Disc Jockey's like Casey Kasem, Wolfman Jack, and the many others could make or break an artist almost instantly if they wanted to. They had tremendous power over music back in that era simply based on what music they played on the radio. They could pretty much play whatever songs they wanted to. They took a lot of requests from "call ins". It was a great era for music back then. I miss those days.

Well Raphael Ravenscroft was a great saxophone player and bought a nice peace of sax into this song as he covered it but the orginal song writer was Dave Lewis 1978: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qoiWtdiPdrOcfZc.html

This is soo smooth i need this in spotify
Beautiful song!
Raph Ravenscroft was the guy responsible for the famous sax riff in "BAKER STREET". I think the girl in the pic was his real-life g/f, she also appears in the promo vid for "MAXINE" which I've uploaded on here.
