That is a gorgeous psychedelic painting! I can imagine how it would have looked if you had used blacklight paints. I bet the colored pearls would be stunning as a swath of color over a white, gray, and black gradient background with a bit of the background still showing after the stretch.

Man this came out absolutely beautiful. You can see its shine, so dont worry. What it reminds me of specifically, and u inagine even more so when you paint the canvas black and layer it on, is like...an oil slick?? Like when a car is leaking oil and it shimmers in the pavement in the sun, and it manages to create that illusion even without actually being irridescent. Its so so so pretty. Also this is why im such a pastel lad. Pastel colors can be so fun and just give a whole different vibe than fully saturation colors

This was so pretty and trippy. I think a dark base would be spot on to bring out the best of the colors. I think a thick paint ring pour or a thicker paint straight pour where each color is captured by the black would show its true form well. Also what about using the pearl paints for a dream cloud painting. 🤔🤔🤔 So many ideas I want to share with you! 🤪

I routinely add an iridescent medium to whatever paint I'm playing with, and it's not uncommon for the entire painting to emerge/dry as iridescent. Just depends on if I add the iridescent medium to all or only a few colors. And by using the medium as a separate bit, I can control for how iridescent the final product is. So the experiment you're doing here isn't a big surprise - although I was surprised at you doing a pastel palette!
