Who Wrote The Book of Enoch?

Ойын-сауық

The Book of Enoch, also referred to as 1 Enoch, is an ancient religious text that treats readers to some rather creative, dynamic and often bizarre sequences that are not found in the traditional bible. We find fallen angels interbreeding with mortals, we have vengeful monsters known as Nephilim devouring the world and we have an angelic civil war that sees the likes of Archangels engaging in battle with evil forces in an effort to restore order. Not only this, but the text shows us how Enoch (that very same Enoch found briefly in Genesis who was known for his righteousness and closeness to God), is taken on a wild journey through the cosmos by the archangels and how his eyes were opened to some incredible sights from the natural formations of the earth, the underground prisons of fallen angels, the complex portals of heaven and even the garden of Eden.

Fascinating history, I must say! And just when I believed there were no more topics to discuss on the subject, the Book of Enoch still holds so much more. True, the contents are enough information to digest on their own. But factoring in the authorship ads an extra layer to the purpose of the text. Question remains: what were the authors hopping to acknowledge from the subject?

Always thought Enoch was tripping balls during the really wild ride stuff. Every society around the world had their own mind freeing substances, the only ones that have really been with sticks up their asses has been the more recent ones. Freeing your mind and conversing with God has become very exclusive. I think that's why we have become so disconnected with the world we live on.

Methuselah lived to be 969 years old. Noah lived to be 950 years old. All the pre-flood patriarchs lived to be over 700 years old, except for Enoch who only lived to be 365. So why is he depicted as a very very old man? Surely he was, comparatively, very young?

Why is Moses portrayed as a younger man when he sees the Pharoah when he was at least 60 at that point 🤷‍♀️ guess the artists just aren't paying attention to detail lol. But even when you hear people talking about the preflood patriarchs they act like they are old after 100 🤷‍♀️ I imagine they age much slower. I was thinking 100 years to them is 10 years to us... but that doesn't work out when they are having children around 100 years old lol.

Kinda funny how it has just come to the forefront of belief by HUGE names/scholars like Dr. Michael Heiser, in just the last decade & 1/2 or so, isn't it?? We aren't sure but it was found at qumran with fragments of Enoch. So the ancient Zadokite priests had it in the dead sea scrolls. So they were the Priests who predate the Pharisees and Sadducee priests. They were the priesthood from the time before the Babylonian exile. They left Jerusalem and built a tabernacle in Judah in the Qumran area because they thought the Pharisee and Sadducee priests were heretics. The most interesting of the Qumran scrolls is the War Scroll which is an end times books but not all of the fragments have been translated, and completely pieced together.

They are the decedents of priests/Levites that escaped the rule of the evil king Manasseh, moving the Ark of the Covenant(as to avoid the literal "seat of YHWH" being defiled by pagan worship, like Solomons temple was and the coming judgment/destruction of Judah by the Babylonians) and established a place of worship, FIRST on the island Elephantine on the Nile, then migrated to Aksum.

Really? He just said why. But to be more in-depth, the council of Nicaea, when they were deciding what books were cannon and could be included, decided that Enoch was too new of a book to be the real deal. It was found amongst the dead Sea Scrolls, proving that it was, at least, older than they had originally thought. The church of Ethiopia believes it to be genuine. No other Church does. Maybe they should, but they don’t because they do not think it is genuine they think it is fanfiction.

And they began to go in to them, and to defile themselves through them, and to teach them sorcery and charms, and to reveal to them the cutting of roots and plants. Since first Enoch was found among the Dead Sea Scrolls this was probably what was believed. It also sounds a lot like the story of Pandora and how she's given gifts on her wedding day by the gods and what is released is ills and woes among the world. @@paulschuckman6604 That passage does give a clear indication of the degree of willingness on the humans' part and is not a particularly reasonable reading of Pandora. Prometheus had warned Epithemeus to not accept any gifts from Zeus in the first place, and Pandora told him straight-up that she was a gift from Zeus. Only Zeus was responsible for the ailments in the box, and he told her to not open it. While, yes, Zeus set them up (and was tyrannical to humans in general), it only worked due to multiple people involved in humans, including Pandora herself, voluntarily choosing to mess around with things she had been explicitly warned not to. Besides that, the Greeks hardly considered the Olympians perfect paragons of ethical virtue outside of a few fringe radical cults like the more hardcore Stoics or Neo-Platonists. Most of them quite bluntly regarded the Olympians to be intermittent, myopically self-absorbed jerks _at best._ The same is not true of the Abrahamic narrative, where the supreme divine authority is omnicent, omnipresent, and omnibenevolent, whereby the Watcher's rebellious actions are thereby inherently not in accordance with Good.

Anything antidiluvian period is seen as either fiction, or those who affirm its scriptureship than it is from Moses. If they aren't scripture, than it's authorship is argued to be written by a Babylonian. And not a Jerusalemite. But by a Jew non the less. And anyone who authored the Book of Enoch, if they say it was written, would be a greater miracle than half of the miracles in the book of Moses. Which black people? Assuredly a whole continent with history predating the Hebrews, You can only be tribe, nationality or ethnic specific, and not skintone catch all term. You make a universal claim, than support it by asking what happened to pre Hebrew Africans and if they were black or not. If you'll be inclined to hastily say black people are Israelites, to whom we call Africans today, You'll either tell me which group or if you believe it's all not some, what happened to pre Hebrew Africans, Or indeed you should be smart and answer this, for if a whole continent is Hebrew why is there so many language families such as Bantu, Cushitic or Nilotic language families and the tens of hundreds of languages in each language family, If the Hebrews were black themselves and not brown and mixed with blacks, than so are Arabs, And yet modern Arabs in Oman and Yemen, the purist of all Arabs, these Ishmaelites look brown, not black And for me there's 5 layers of skin, Black Brown Olive Tan White And pure Arabs are brown. As are Natufians. Thus we ascertain Jews are brown, But not all brown people are Jews And if 23&me, g25, illustrativedna, gedmatch, and other genetic sciences show purity among South Arabians, Than Yemeni Jews are also pure Israelite or are Israelite Ishmaelite mix And this race of Abraham therefore spans a peninsula not a continent, Therefore concludes that Yemeni jews are jews And I won't catch all term say "brown people" are Jews. And last assuredly we cannot just say Yemeni Jews are simply mix half brown half black. If jews are black, why would black jews mix with presumably Brown Arabs and result In Yemeni jews, Because your ancestry claimant ideologies like to presume jews don't race mix, but if we assume black jews are a authentic result and not a miscegenation result Than you'll have to admit black jews married brown, therefore not black, gentiles. And ideologies like yours pretends jews never once practice miscegenation.

Whoever wrote Enoch has a keen eye for detail that would baffle most laymen and surprise scholars, even Zechariah spoke of Bashan how long after Deuteronomy 3? Modern Rabbis barely bring up the subject, if at all.

I believe the ancient book of Enoch which Noah his great grandson took with him in the Ark, was renewed by the Jewish sects during the 2nd temple period. There's a lot of evidence for this that I can't all type. Many of the prophecies of Enoch were cannon and spoken by Enoch himself as the Holy Bible testifies in the book of Jude . 🙏🌿🍃

A number of quotes through out the Bible even by Jesus/yeshua himself. What most people forget. Enoch was the first prophet and literally the first written text within history.

First Enoch and Job are probably the original book of Jushur. I wouldn't be surprised if Jushur was the author, he was the first King recorded on the Sumerian King's list after the flood.

Dude it’s AD not CE. Don’t say that anymore, it makes your audience cringe. CE doesn’t mean anything. Common Era to what? After Christ’s Death. So CEAD. That’s stupid, just say AD, your audience isn’t speaking that filthy language and we are insulted.
