I get you cause I often feel that way specially when actors are asked for their political opinions -_- but a little over 10 years ago I remember Will got onto the STEM train and started learning how to code and becoming more involved with tech overall. I'm not gonna pretend he knows as much as a dedicated professional in the tech field, but he has had a space and a voice there for a good time.

The problem is considering what AI says as a psalm, for example she gave a really positive opinion on Piers (which i share btw), but reading the comments the general feeling is he's biased towards certain topics. That didn't emerge, so the "truth" about a person is based Upon personal perception and representation, just like in Pirandello, there are a multitude of ourselves in the world because everyone points their magnifying glass over a specific area and their interpretation may be totally different

I think human intelligence.. or rather the lack thereof is much more important. People today are taught WHAT to think rather than HOW to think.

Bad enough. People live a life everyday in a Bubble and in Fear of being casted out.. Now this. THIS WORLD IS TRULY 'FUNKED'.

Piers - one day in the near future you will be wearing a device stuck to the temple on the side of your head. This device will monitor your brain signals, then transmit those signals to a computer that will use Transformer technology (AI) to translate those signals into machine code, to do something on the computer. Example, you will be able to think about an image, the device will receive brain signals for this image, the device will transmit these signals to a PC, AI will translate these signals into machine code, and the image you thought of will be displayed on screen. Input + AI = Output Text prompt + AI = Image Brain signals + AI = Image Brain signals + AI + 3d printer = sculpture Etc, etc... Now with the uncensored part. Imagine as you are thinking about your image, the device receives the signals, it sends the signals to your PC, the AI goes to translate your brain signals into machine code, then you are stopped with a prompt that says "I'm sorry, you are not allowed to think about this, it's copyrighted."

The dude is a breath of fresh air to listen to. Totally positive. That's what we need going forward. Well done Piers for having him on 👏👏

It will be music on demand, just a movie or a tv show on demand. You ask the A.I what you want to watch, it will create it and give it to you. Creativity will thrive. Everybody will be able to create just by telling A.I want they want to listen to or want to watch. It won't be down to directors who had the privilege and time to do it, or writers who went to good schools. They will be no more. Everybody will have the ability to do it. The problem is the system of work and money that we have now, that won't work in a world where A.I does everything. Society needs to prepare for a world with no work.

he brings up an amazing point. Humans are gonna be like the "organic food" of entertainment in the future. Makes total sense. Gonna get to a point of cheap AI driven/made entertainment and the the "organic" human made entertainment.

No they won't. I can give you proof right now. Watch an award show. See any bands getting awards? Nope, just hip hop and pop. Two genres that steal their melodies and do everything on computers. People thought the same thing when Auto tuner came out and that didn't happen. Auto tuner is used all the time now and nobody cares whether it's used or not. Most of the musical acts that exists now were created in a boardroom. The younger generations don't care about real things or organic art. They don't believe in copyrights. Will is wrong.

I am not all up to date with these things. Could this sorted out the wars with bringing the leaders together to talk and find a way to end wars. I am a 64 years old and I could be talking out of my a.s. X

Will. I. AM is a smart Brother. Smart in how logical he thinks. He should’ve been a professor. But, he took being a rapper to another dimension. He’s the future minds we want. Not to be afraid of technology but challenge it strategically.

How about people concentrate improving their own intelligence instead of creating machines that will do everything for them, making everyone literally less intelligent. People will struggle with learning and doing simple tasks in the future because of this "development".

They used to show up at raves and play and everyone thought their music was awful and mainstream. They only finally made it because they stayed in the game so long they finally got a following from teeny boppers and middle-aged moms.

8:02 Will brings up a good point that Piers unfortunately diverts from. These big tech companies have so much data on us as individuals and as groups so they can build profiles about us with a level of insight we don't have. Maybe we should be more interested in that. Will floats that the companies can even predict your future. That's not outlandish when you consider that the companies have data on people with similar life paths as you but further down the line. By matching your data profile with others, technically they can make those predictions. I don't know how accurate they'll be but man, we should find out.

When AI writes a piano concerto that's better than Rachmaninoff's, or composes better jazz organ riffs than Jimmy Smith, I'll get worried. I might buy it that AI can improve elevator music, but who cares? But I'm already getting worried about what AI will do when the government wants to watch my banking transactions, or who I talk to on the phone, or starts giving me a low enough Chinese-style social responsibility score because I drive a gas guzzling SUV, and won't let me buy gas next time I pull up to the pump. That's the shit that I worry about!

I understand what Will is saying and some of his analogies make sense but it's strange that he's not more cautious of the human element of AI. AI might not kill us directly but if someone harnesses the power of it in the right way it could be disastrous. This is the same as the threat of nuclear war, every country needs to come together and agree not to use that power for mass destruction.
