Half Mexican, Half Salvadorian girl here born in Houston. Did my Ancestry DNA and turns out I am 10% Basque (and have ethnicities in my DNA from 11 other countries 😅). You guys have taught me more about the culture than I've been able to dig up anywhere else. Thank you so much for teaching as you go on these adventures!

you must go to elkano i used to go with my parents back in the early 80s till now. They had a little restaurant going down to the harbour and they were incredible people. Simply the best quality

From the port to the Michelin starred resto, to the winery, Loyola Sanctuary and finally those jaw dropping cliffs - everything was so dynamic. still wondering why even with such superb video quality, the channel hasn't exploded that much yet. Thumbs up tho!

Last year my family and a group of people took a road trip from France to Spain, and Loyola was a surprise stop. We walked through Inigo's home and had Mass in the sanctuary. But it was insane, the ceiling is my favorite. (I basically fangirled watching this video cause it's so unknown to many people.)

You should! you are welcomed! So many chileans have ancestry roots in the basque country. As Unamuno said: "there are 2 things that can be clearly atributed to the basque, the Jesuits and the Republic of chile."

I am aware that the Spanish Basque region has preserved most of its culture, whereas, the French region has assimilated itself into French culture and traditions, comparatively, at least. @@rajivulpe8747 Thank you to you too Rajiv. In my opinion spring and autum months are the best to visit Basque country. May June and September I think. And in August you have fests in much of the cities and towns, for example Bilbao, Donosti or Gasteiz.

Not easy to find, my source in northern California "Wine Club" stopped carrying it. Probably have to buy it online. It really is good wine.

Nice video you guys! Just a couple of things to point out: -The restaurant in which we enjoyed the great lunch is called Elkano, not El Kano. As Xabier explained, the name was misspelled many years ago, but, the error was fixed and both the restaurant and the Txakoli Bodega have the name ELKANO. -The young guy in the bodega is called Ekaitz, not Ikaits -Last but not least, the town in which the Sanctuary of Loyola is located is called Azpeitia, not Azpeitzia. I'm enjoying all your videos a lot, congratulations!

Another video on Gipuzkoa. Do you guys even know that Biscay exists? Even shitty Vitoria with its ugly skyscrapers and Alava, with 3 times less population, is getting more attention than a province where half of the Basques live. They always said they wanted to show the places, they loved most, when they lived over there. I see your point, but probably they don't show too much of Bizkaya because they spent most their time in Gipuzkoa...and you can't deny that the quality of the videos is great
