Rajamouli once said that Indian box office has limit. So that is why he hasnt started this project yet. This is the big reason Rajamouli is trying to establish connection in Hollywood, Japan and with technical studios. RRR got him most of the recognation he needed in west. For his next project he is also trying to collab with big studios from west so that he can take his movie in international market. About starcast he can bring any big starcast without any ego clashes because he knows how to handel stars. As he once said everyting he is doing is to make Mahabharat in the end.

The way Nag Ashwin depicted Mahabharata in Kalki is the best interpretation of the story i've probably ever seen on the big screen. There are not many. Not now, but maybe after a few more movies and more experience, i believe Nag Ashwin has the potential to pull it off.

nah bro , there were just few seconds of character scenes in kalki , mahabharata is a mamoth of a task to be made , i dont think that even the best director of hollywood can pull it off completely right , it is a story spanning 100 years with 1000s of complex characters , politics , drama , action , philosophies , kurukshetra war alone require the biggest production ever in cinema globally , honestly only hollywood can pull it off if they make a game of thrones type series on it with help of indian filmmaker

I liked the tone of Kalki because, nothing feels forced tbh, everything happening feels natural unlike some more popular mass movies. Nag Ashwin can be the Denis Villeneuve of India. He can adapt Mahabharata like Denis did in Dune.

@@dudetheman06 bro you really dont know what mahabharata is , it is the literal biggest story in the world ever written , not even story , it is the literal history of kuru dynasty with generations of characters, what I am saying is that it cannot be made as movies because of the monstrosity it is , you can barely make it into a series like game of thrones with 10 seasons , each having 10 episodes , and everyone is a kid in India for that task , only hollwood can pulloff such level of project ,it will be the biggest production , just the Kurukshetra war is the biggest in humankind history , just imagine 18 days of nonstop war , it will alone take 30-40 hours of runtime , it is bigger than anything ever made , it is nearly unadaptable , and bro dune is not even 5 percent of Mahabharata , it cant be adapted as a movie , just impossible , only rajamouli can even think of adapting it , but again it will be absurdity to make it into a 10 part film , its not possible , it will take insane amount of research , years of pre production , I don't think that one director can do it , whole industry must come together for it , if it is made in India , that's why rajamouli is not making it because he knows that it is out of reach for India at current time , and since he is such a great director , he doesn't want to hurry and make a shit out of Mahabharata.

Now beauty of Mahabharat is that the gist can be narrated in one movie also.... Of course it is not practical to have all thousand plus characters in the adaptation, so only less than a 1000 characters will be adapted, but it can be done in 4 films .... Nuance and complexity will be lost in Movie version, but in TV Series you can have but the grandness ad scale will be missing.... Actually I want both, if someone or different directors can make.... A longer more nuanced TV version like GOT, and an adridged visually stimulating multi part movie franchise like LOTR.... And Rajamouli is the best bet we have for both!!!

Until now, i felt why big directors quote Mahabharatam as their dream Project, that because we are used to see references of Mahabharatha regularly in Indian Movies. Now after watching Kalki Movie, i understood the potential of Mahabharatham as a theme for a movie..I am a telugu btw, i believe the only 2 directors who can manage making a movie on Mahabharatha are SSR & Nag Ashwin..No other directors can give such outputs befitting the storyline of Mahabharatham.

All the actors should not necessarily have to be big stars only Arjun, Krishna, Karna and Bheeshm I think deserve a big star. Rest all can have charcter actor level actors. Plus if the movie us.made in multiple parts most characters won't be even in same movie like Shantanu will never meet Pandavas etc.

You will see that SSMB29 will beat dangal box office collection and atleast go till 3000cr because sony will distribute it worldwide . So in the time span let suppose he did 3 movies more . 1st movie - 3000cr 2nd - 4000 3rd - 5000cr If Mahabharata was made after all this box office collection any star will be ready. And as this is an old history many of the cast won't charge anything. Here's my pitch for a dream Mahabharat movie Rajamouli should ofc direct it and co write it with Sai Mahadev Burra and V. Vijayendra Prasad, VFX team of Kalki should do the VFX, AR Rahman should compose the bgm and it should have Hrithik Roshan as Shri Krishna. Btw a Mahabharat movie could also be a great opportunity to show three Khans together, like Aamir could play Krishna, SRK could play Arjun and Salman could play Karna, but I don't think that audience would like to see actors with a bit controversial image as warriors of Mahabharat and I am a little uncertain about whether they can actually pull it of or not, whether they have the range to play those warriors or not. So Hrithik would be my top choice for Krishna, he has the range and not a controversial image, the definitive actor of Krishna Nitish Bharadwaj himself has also admired Hrithik and has said that Hrithik Roshan is a perfectionist. Tho I would be absolutely down for a Mahabharat with Three Khans as lead but they need to give their best, they should talk to the previous actors who have played those warriors, maybe then I can see this vision.

I don't think we need big actors for Mahabharat necessarily. All new actors but all of them have to be "good" actors. Mahabharat in itself is a big name. So if a great director and Studio is behind it, believe me it will sell, well because realistically religion sells.

@@bbquickupdates Yeah they will because like me there are people India who will watch it based on the Rajamouli not because of the star & in overseas only the name of the Rajamouli is enough because at the time of RRR western people didn't know the ramchandra and NTR but they know the Rajamouli. And in promoting the film he is a beast you will know at the time of RRR what kind of promotions they did. I think as you said previously it's not possible normally but Rajamouli always tries to break that normacy to achieve his dream. But before the Mahabharat he is doing #SSMB29 which he said it's going to be even bigger & better than the RRR you can imagine his reach after that film. And his next film with Mahesh babu majority of the North people don't know him but they will watch the upcoming film because of the Rajamouli so star cast is not going to be a threat to him because of his name and work.

Dude wake up sid and yjhd is still my fav movies slice of life comming of age. Ayan is ruining his talent behind brahmastra i felt that ayan was very confused about movie very poor direction the Nagarjuna sequence was so trash it was saved by vfx and bgm . Only interval block was perfect bgm , vfx and direction its the only scene in the intire film u expect from the title brahmastra rest of the movie doesn't seem like ur watching a movie caller brahmastra. Its not hate iam excited for 2nd part and see dev character , its just that its a cringe and predictable movie even love story who ayan has written so well in his previous stories Does not work here dude even aditi and tarans jodi looked great man he can even arrange marriage jodi this well then wtf happened to him now

First of all if it's well made I don't care about logic because movies are entertainment if u want physics go to fucking school and only if u present it nicely and establish character it may not look ridiculous bheem lifting bike in rrr doesn't look ridiculous bcos we have been shown that he is powerful to face tiger . And bahubali story is literally inspired from ramayana and mahabharat scenes like bahubali banished from mahismati is inspired from Sri ram leaving for vanvas . Brothers fighting for throne is mahabharat even characters of both shivagami and devsena are inspired from one mahabharat character draupati powerfull and honest See . U should also see the expecting when I watch a movie I judge the movie by comparing the previous works of the director example dunki failed bcos people were expecting 3 idiots , pk , munna bhai type but he failed not bcos the movie is bad bcos it wasn't feeling like rajkumar hirani movie it felt more like an anand l rai film
