It’s good that i have the same situation as you are. My wife has not been so familiar in computers and that she’s only been dependent on me. That loophole is the one that many sponsors are ending up in hiring for a representative.

Yes, from what I know IRCC does not check any IP Address who send who as long as all the information are laid out and the Applicant is the one receiving the instructions. BUT, it is much better to abide by the instructions and rules of IRCC to have more peace of mind and avoid any chances of officer getting suspicious.

Thank you again for the video. For the supporting additional documents, is there a order of each documents go? I mean... checklist should be the first, but what about the rest? For my daughter there is children's information section as well as children birth certificate. Originally we thought of putting them all in the same place, then we saw the birth certificate option. The roder on the drop down menu is not the same as the checklist.

I am trying to sponsor my husband to Canada, I got him to create an account but for some reason I can't log in to portal with his credential (which I have ) and just to test it, I created and account for myself and he can't log into that.... calling immigration is a hassle, they never answer. What if I used a representative before and he submitted my application through his portal (but he created a new email id for PA rather than using an existing one which I provided). I feel he is not being as transparent as he should be. So what do I do now? I used Use of Representative form. I know I can cancel him but he has also mentioned his information in imm1344e for contact (email and mailing address) under sponsor contact information. Basically, I do I kick him out? If I cancel his use of representative, How will I access PA’s IRCC portal as he has submitted it through his representative portal? Please if anyone knows anything about this situation, kindly answer.

Hi Suyash, what we did is my application (PA living outside Canada) was initiated inside the PR portal of the sponsor, the application has not been submitted and the current stage is still filling out the forms IMM 0008, 5406 and so on. Is it recommended to stop the application (seems no cancel option yet) and start a new one using PA portal account to be created? Please advise. Huge thanks

yes, no need to cancel since its only been initiated. just ignore and do it from the PA's account. Safer that way.

My spouse lives in Cuba which makes it harder for him to access internet, let alone a computer. Phone is no problem, but I am concerned about the portal part of his application. I am a Canadian Citizen since birth sponsoring him, can I create the account for him, and fill it out with him?

Hi, I submitted my spouse application, and it was returned because I chose the wrong Subcategory, it was supposed to be Family class (outside Canada), not Spouse or common-law partner in Canada class. Do I have to create a new application on the same portal (using the same email address I used the last time )?. My husband received the returned email with the UCI number. As I understand, my husband is Canadian by birth, so he will not have a UCI number. Do I need to update the Family Evaluation form (IMM 5532) with his new UCI ?. Thank you.

Hi Suyash! My husband(sponsor) received a pdf document about the forms required to add spouse and the document asked to add application in his account. I’m confused if I need to add “new application” in his PR portal or do I have to create new account and submit?

@@user-lh4wr8nn2g he changed his marital status and raised a web form. Later IRCc sent the steps to follow and the documents they required to process.

Hello who will create the account if i am sponsoring my dependent child which is s minor?

For people who said they already submitted it, it shouldn’t affect you so long as it’s BEFORE their change. I as the sponsor created our account for my husband and we got AOR. At that time this update didn’t apply for us (late September). If that update was implemented for October then October applications should have followed this rule and any months after.

Hi Suyash, quick question? I married my fiancee last week and she is under tourist visa (single-entry) and will expire on April 2023. We will lodge her PR application together with OWP once we got our marriage certificate. I think it’ll be safe to file an extension of the tourist visa so that the status can be maintained while the PR and open work permit applications undergo processing. i’ll have to do more research on this though. So check the instructions for maintaining status on the official website to see if there is something available there

Hello! I got married on December 31 and I am in Canada as a tourist, the 6 months expired on October 25 so I requested the extension of my stay for the reason that I was engaged. When requesting an extension, I remained legally in the country while the approval lasted, 3 days ago I received an approval response by email and in a few days I will receive the paper document from Visitor Record

Hello, i did applied my PR after watching your videos and i've got my temporary application nr. than after 10 days i got an email that my file had been returned cos the IMM 0008 is incomplete as we live in Quebec they asked about CSQ ( i had no idea about it) i' m trying to figure it out how my husband ( i am living with him in Canada) can apply (if there is any other procedure) to be my sponsor, which IMM he should fill and where to apply ( this is the request now from the Quebec state) ... The IMM 0008 is not really province specific, It has to be completed no matter what province you live in. Same goes for other forms common to spousal sponsorship. Make sure you read through the guide 5289 and your document checklist 5533. All forms and documents should be mentioned in your document checklist. So, you would just proceed with the spousal sponsorship process normally, using the portal. fill out all digital forms, upload all pdf forms and any country specific forms. then after you receive AOR, you will get the CSQ request. it will tell you all documents you need to submit for Quebec. That is required as part of the Quebec program.

Sir, I have a specific query - I have Canada inland spousal application and on my online PR tracker shows medical, eligibility, and background checks completed, and biometrics received. I also received the pre-arrival email as well. It also reflected the COPR document number since Nov 29th 2022. But I haven't received any further communication from IRCC regarding passport requests etc. May you please suggest how much time it will take for the final email from IRCC? Should I consider that my file is through for PR? Please reply. Regards

The COPR document generally confirms your application is done. but it can take around 10-30 days when you to receive the document.

Can you sponsor your spouse if you are under PGWP without PR or canadian Citizen? Cause IMM1344 has a status drop down menu which is not applicable for it.

This is the reason why my husband and I haven't started the application yet. Anyways, is it okay if my husband who will sponsor me is the one that will create an account for me using my info?

It will not matter who created unless you are filling the Principal Applicant and sponsor Application in a wrong way. I did my parents visa twice and even renewed it in all these years, since they are elderly cant understand much, i use my own email so that we wont miss any update. In portal they ask you, do you want to keep the same email for future correspondence which you have used for log in. You can make changes there, but if not then its fine, not a problem.

That just means they have not assigned any agent to it yet. Did you get an email saying that you submitted it ?

Hi Suyash, My passport will get expired in 2025, I am applying for spouse PR . Do I need to renew my Passport or can apply with the same passport as I have read somewhere that PR Visa will expire in 5 years or passport expiry date whichever is earlier . Please let me know if this is true

you dont need to renew your passport to apply for PR since your passport is already valid. you can apply for PR right now with current passport.

As long as the application filled are correct. meaning, you spouse filled the "applicant forms" and you filled the sponsor form. and the applicant signed all filled that requires an "applicant signature" and you signed all field that requires "sponsor signature. and you are good. The struggle of having the Sponsor do the application for the applicant is you might accidentally interchange you and her as sponsor and applicant. this is where the problem occurs

Getting an officer to review the file is probably the long waiting part. after that the officer most likely can finish review your file in 2-4 weeks and proceeds to ask for other requirements. also the processing time is estimated 18 months

no, your COPR is not going to be Reissued. The one you have is the final one. if they haven’t issued it yet, they might update it before issuing your final COPR. your husband will get a different COPR.

Quick question, i had submitted spousal outland sponsorship and havent recieved Aor,and its been 45 days. Is it possible can i apply for visit visa now. Also the PCC is about to expired, should I just raise a webform and have it send along with it. Any help is appreciated

Usually, AOR takes around 90-120 days. Yes, its completely you can submit PCC through web form.
