Why does France own a island all the way in Oceania in the 21st century the only ones too blame is the French empire who enslaved the indigenous kanak people and annexed their island, forming new Caledonia as a settler colonial state of France in which Paris enforces their rule of law to a unrelated Indigenous population, that marginalizes them and favors the mostly French european loyalist demographic. empire Is still alive free New Caledonia from France

France is exporting tonnes and tonnes and tonnes of nickel ore from New Caledonia and must be earning multi millions dollars…EVERY YEAR. Only a fraction of that money is spent on New Caledonia , so do you think the people are getting pissed off? Of course they are. Remember, New Caledonia is one giant nickel island. Go figure.

What a shameful thing to say when you should know what France did to Haiti after that country's independence. France made Haiti to pay France a huge sum of money. This regular payment eventually crippled Haiti till these days. It took Haiti more than 100 years to pay France a levy France unjustly placed on Haiti.
