she might be trying to impersonate/reference Junko Enoshima. Expecially because her profile banner is also from an anime. She shares a lot of simularities. nearly her entire persona seems to be exactly like Junko. from the way she dresses, The way she talks about mortality and the fact that she linked people to a game all seems to point to this. I immediately assumed that I was having a spiritual experience and it was a presence that was benevolent. Unfortunately the voice soon became biligerant and obscene and I noticed that I was under the brim of insanity. I began experiencing physical symptoms paired with the onset of this phenomenon. A male voice appeared who I believe is a servant to Stephanie and another female voice named Poppy appeared. I sat in a seclusion room starving as I learned what a whore Stephanie is and that she was playing a game with me. Now why would art produce such a volatile reaction in someone who doesnt care either way if these things exist or not. Why am I in a situation that makes me aware of these entities. Samantha Stetson takes no interest in my predicament or the phenomina of it. Most people become afraid and so find thier place comfortably by taking refuge in psychology.

I was about to comment this until I saw yours. I recognized it right away! There definitely are parallels between Human Instrumentality and her supposed goal of assimilating profiles into a singular 'Stephanie' entity. Probably would explain all the pseudo-religious mumbo jumbo too, since Evangelion is up to its neck with that stuff. At the very least, it seems like Stephanie has good taste in anime.

a lot of people are drawing comparisons of Stephanie to Junko Enoshima (her personality, ideals and morals) but I think she carries out some ideas that are very similar to ones from Serial Experiments Lain. As Lain says in the shows if people's memory (in this case data you share online) of you is deleted they will no longer remember you therefore you will no longer exist (so it's like virtual s*uicide). I think much like the series it could very well be a commentary on modern day technology and the ability to transfer life onto the internet.

I got to critique. People are suggesting that the voice actor is good, I disagree. This voice actor definitely has potential, but I felt like it didn't suit the personality. Judging by the first few monologues, the personality isn't insane or psycho, and you don't hear people discussing their beliefs or the issues of society with a wicked simile. I think the voice actor was creating a fictional character, and she did a good job of that! But I'm more interested in pretending that it's a real person, that sounds gloomy and is aggressive and anxious. So I think that's why some people are suggesting that the voice actor is bad.

I think she does alright in the posts/messages where Stephanie is excited and such apart from the random laughter coming out of nowhere, unneeded emphasis on random words, and the voice sounding like she's constantly shaking and on the brink of tears. Stephanie really just seems to be upset by most of the things she's writing about, not excited in the way the voice actor is trying to convey. Stephanie definitely seems more distraught about her "friends" deleting their Facebooks and such and talking about how "you are nothing" so the laughter is really unfitting and ruins the immersion. Her laughter annoys me. I don't mean to be rude but, really, the way she tries to fake laughter in the middle of sentences is really awful and unconvincing. She puts A LOT of emphasis on _everything_ and it's really unnatural and overdone to the point where I couldn't listen to it anymore and just started reading the posts myself and then skipping ahead in the video until she stopped talking. To sum it up, she just needs to tone it down a lot.

Man I like coming back to this video because I kinda miss this ARG sometimes - there was something unifying about going undercover playing up the Stephanie (name and icon changes of FB) lmao it was pretty fun to follow and it was the first ARG I actually participated in.... I loved the concepts behind ominous, foreboding, cultlike ARGs like this one was (the idea that the internet makes us more immortal than we truly are and the amount of friends, followers, subscribers, etc on our accounts are how many people keep "us" ""alive"" was such a cool idea that SLS brought up for a bit)... I still sometimes keep in touch with a friend I made during the spike in SLS activity it wasn't the best time, but it was a good time

Dude, I could not handle the jumpscare at 9:24. There are some things that transcend horror and terror; they should not be spoken of. Great video.

I used to talk with someone on ifunny that had the username "Stuxnetjr". They uploaded pictures of them supposedly about to hang themselves and never posted again, but in chat it said they've been online since then. Probably not related, but I'm just mentioning it because this is the only other place I've heard the word stuxnet, and before they supposedly killed themself, they posted Doki Doki Literature Club related content, which, as you showed, is kinda similar to the visual novel Stephanie made.

The voice actor is trying way too hard and is pausing at really random moments during a sentence for a dramatic affect which just doesn't work.

Definitely worth a revisit, I think. Taking a look at her profile now; there's a lot less there than before but there is a review she left at a place that... might be worth your interest.

The voice acting is just too much imo. Like it would work for a campy anime character, but not in this. It needs to sound more casual. All the fluctuations in her voice sounds unnatural and it’s distracting. Not to mention all the unnecessary -anime- laughter. I can still appreciate the effort though!

I've read up most of the paragraphs and her point isn't that she's a god but that we are all living in a simulation and people aren't real unless they are there in the moment. Some of her paragraphs contradicted themselves and this video wasn't too accurate tho. Anyways it sounds like she isn't too right in the head. I have something to add to this: Stephanie's profile banner is a picture of the sea of LCL from the Evangelion anime. I think this pic is fromThe End of Evangelion movie. There is an interesting similarity with something that happens in this anime and what Stephanie is doing. The sea of LCL, as pictured, is a representation of all beings who have had their individual forms/boundaries eliminated and have merged into one homogenous entity. This is congruous with Stephanie's goal of everyone 'becoming Stephanie'. Just an interesting little detail I thought some one might like.

In the game I noticed that all of the characters (except for Stephanie and the MC) were wearing smiley face buttons (I’m just gonna assume that the MC was wearing on as well, of course we don’t see the MC, basic visual novel stuff) and that account, The Church of God of Prophecy’s logo was a smiley face. Idk just something I noticed 🤷‍♀️

As some positive constructive criticism for the voice actress I would strongly recommend for her to talk less like an anime girl, the kind of "insane" waver in her voice she uses really doesn’t suit and kind of throws the whole video off every time she speaks. If you guys do want to go for a more cartoonish or anime voice I would recommend going for a voice like Johan Liebert (my profile picture haha) or Lucy from Elfen Lied, or any character from Higurashi. Its kind of made me cringe every time when she giggled it sounded very fake and acted, she should try to avoid that the most as that is one way to sound silly and like a really cheesy psychotic anime valley girl villain. Just some tips and pointers! Hope I didn’t come off as rude, I really enjoy your videos but the voice acting is definitely off putting.

Hubert Ziebicki yea, I hate when people who play insane characters play them like they just got a half botched lobotomy. It’s cheap and gimmicky when they have to add in the "insane" giggles and high pitched anime voice. As I said she should look at higurashi for the more batshit insane or go the more subdued insane psychopath route and look at Johan Liebert or Lucy from elfen lied. Either way she should seriously practice her voice acting more and drop the overly insane act unless she’s doing a parody.

I don't know if anyone else has mentioned it but I took the liberty of translating some of the Japanese text that litters her profile. I'm not fluent but my boyfriend is, so I'll be updating as we work out more. - Her bio reads something along the lines of "I am the original" or "I am the origin" - In one of her photos the captions reads "あなたも", which means "You too" - The distorted photo of Dianne reads "It is a cult/gang", which is pretty straightforward imo... - The list of "People I'm greatful for" seems to be a poem which reads: "That's why I keep up with you Even in the darkness of any painful world Surely you shine At the end of the future Not to be broken soul due to weakness My way will overlap Now too" (This was all work I did with Google translate because my source of proper translations hasn't double checked for me yet. These will probably change.) Now there's also a few of ciphers, which I have some experience with (the text based at least). Most of it is pretty easy to decode, and the rest she straight up gives you the answer to. - There's a vigenere ciper what reads "feveagsqzkiqrlmkup" and she states in the status that "Friends are the key to solving this one". When decoded it gives you "annandalicedothtml". Plugging this into her website domain leads to a page that holds another puzzle that I'm still working on. It reads: "Hello again, friends!!! You wanted puzzles and I will give you all the puzzles my friends desire!!! You are all that I care about and we together will grow closer with time :) Hahaha!!! YOU WILL ALL LEARN SO MUCH ABOUT COMPUTERS AND EACH OTHER AND YOU WILL ALL BE FRIENDS!!! I AM SO EXCITED :) I love you my dear friends now listen closely. Maybe this will lead to an "ALICE" one as well lmao As of 6:40 AM PST (8:40 her time) I've tried to contact her and see what I can get information wise that hasn't already been stated, especially around ciphers and world languages. I have not recieved a response as of writing this (12 PM PST) Personally I think she's horribly against the friend limit because 5,000 is less than .00007% of the Earth's approximate population, and if she's trying to become a divine being she needs to be globally recognized. Stephanie has an interesting little situation going on here regardless of what's actually happening.
