This episode of Rakkt unravels the most historic story of Qutub Shahi Dynasty which is said to be the one of the richest dynasties of all times. Sultan Mohammed Quli Qutub Shah came to Deccan in his youth from Persia as a bodyguard to Bahmani Monarch and through his courage, skill and sagacity he was awarded the title Qutb-ul-Mulk (Pillar of the Realm) as military chief.
After the disintegration of the Bahmani Sultanate into the five Deccan sultanates, he declared independence and took the title of Qutb Shah establishing the Qutb Shahi dynasty of Golconda and also founded the city of Hyderabad . He was a cherished ruler of the Telangana State, known for his impartiality towards both Hindus and Muslims, offering them equal opportunities within his administration.
Jamsheed was Sultan Quli’s second son who became impatient and hungry for power and conspired to take over power in the most ruthless way. In 1543, Jamsheed Quli Qutb Shah assassinated his father, blinded his older brother, the heir to the throne, and forced his other brother, Ibrahim Quli, to flee to Vijayanagar. Great video. It's nice to see you guys are covering stories in Rakht from Bahamani Sultanate, Golconda and Bundi which are not known in popular culture. Aurangzeb-Dara and Khilji's stories were well known. Would like this series to continue and maybe include some stories around famous battles or how sometimes Generals used to switch sides. Thank you.

Qutub Shahi Dynasty were good Shia rulers who respected the local culture which was not seen in the North

Look dude, you're right about the Muslim empire being the villain and all, but while explaining about Quli Qutub, the narrator has to shed light on the opponents in that manner... Edit : saw the whole episode.... They've patronized him A LOT..... 🙄

You are right it is problem. We never go and destroyed mosque in Arabia, afganistan, never raped women on the name of religion, Jihad is not even known to hindus, forced conversions we consider it crime etc and we are villan and these muslim we done it are heros in history book
