He possibly betrayed Russia (speculation here), in a way Snowden betrayed the US. One will note that he was a Russian but secretly working for the MI6 against Russia. Snowden was a hero to the world (even to the American people), but an enemy to the US state department. Many American politicians openly call for his assassination (John Bolten, former US ambassador to the UN, to cite). Most likely the US tried but failed, because Snowden ran too fast into Russia's protection. A lot of the context about Litvinenko's case is not elaborated by the media. They are only interested in finding out who killed him. The whole story in the west has been riding on the public's bias against Russia. How much of this is brainwashing? Perhaps we will really know only after 50 years.

It is possible that these people have lifted the identies of the actual people... Perhaps they altered their appearances.
