Fun fact about Glee. They did that with all their songs. They stole them from small time KZreadrs. I watched someone's deep dive on it. They had so many songs to arrange as "glee" type songs that they just "borrowed" other people's arrangements.

I get that because I had for the longest time I had a white male therapist. And now I have a black women therapist and she instantly gets the references and black identity

HAVING A THERAPIST THAT SHARES YOUR IDENTITY CAN BE SO FUN! I’m purposely doing this in caps because I’ve had amazing therapists over the years and I reached that point and sought out my amazing black lady therapist 🎉 a good therapist will understand. I loved my previous non-black one and it was the healthiest breakup I’ve ever had in life. They shouldn’t be a side piece tho, they wouldn’t want you to have 2 individual therapists.

Having a therapist who you share identities with is so vital for me. It depends on why you’re in therapy, of course, but as a queer person who grew up in a conservative religion I’ve deconstructed from, I knew I wanted someone who wasn’t participating in a religion like that.

If you're using "bone conducting" audio, I guarantee that everyone around you can hear exactly what you're listening to perfectly clearly. You might as well have a boombox on your shoulder. Unless you drill into your cheekbones, no bone-conductive headphones are going apply enough pressure or vibrate so subtly that they can be conducted through your face but not heard by the entire area around you. Those things are so stupid!!!

Performing for your therapist…very relatable. I created a barrier for myself with being able to genuinely express my feelings at the beginning of therapy because of people pleasing. Nice to hear them discuss having the same energy during therapy.
