@@bobc8985 Wilson mains, don't appreciate that wilson, is one of the few characters left in Don't Starve, with a psychological aspect, that reflects how his character plays in game. I wish Klei would make more characters like this. For example, Willow is a pyromaniac. It used to be when her sanity dropped too low, she would begin impulsivly setting things on fire. This has been removed in DST, but remains in the single player game. Wolfgang is incredibly strong... But ironically, he's a coward and is afraid of monsters, and the dark, which causes his sanity to drop faster in those cases. Wigfrid is a fallen actress. She's obsessively dedicated to the character she plays, so much so that she refuses to eat ANYTHING but meat... Wilson is scientist, but he's not a very good one. He thinks highly of himself, and is actually rather egomaniacal, despite being INCREDIBLY average. Though, honestly... This probably doesn't do much for players anyway, so why would they? XD

@@blackbox-yk8zk Spiders are weak as shit and can easily be defeated in groups whereas splumonkeys have ranged attacks that deplete sanity, can steal items off the ground and out of backpacks, are equally as fast as the player, and also are difficult to deal with in large groups. I'm on board for Wilbur in DST only if he can't make monkey huts because I don't want to get my shit stolen because someone on the server wanted to be the funny monkey.

nah, 2 werewolves are fine. like, it'd be cool if we also had Wheeler and Wagstaff so we can have 2 enginers and ranged characters in DST. like, it'd be cool for team building(maybe they could add some more synergies, for example, Wilba could give her necklace to woodie to prevent transfoming and he could give her his idols for longer tranformation or something)

They should make a short video where Wagstaff gets into the world of together and something bad happens and is dragged out somewhere by something but he leaves blueprints of all his structures and Winona get's em and since she knew the guy, only she knows how to build them, that way we get what's good about Wagstaff without adding a Winona 2.0 to the game. Yeah that's not gonna happen but dreaming is free.

I’m surprised nobody suggested a bunnymen character, it just feels natural at this point to contrast wilba and wurt.

Personally, I’d like to see Wilbur join the DST crew. He has such good upsides and such strong downsides: -Can’t Talk -About 10% lower base move speed -Faster hunger drain while running +Gains 33% movement speed after walking for 3 seconds +Can befriend Prime Apes and Splemonkeys +Produces manure every 2-5 days +Can fling shit at people for damage/stuns +Gains more sanity from bananas

in a lot of the reworks shorts it is shown at some point that someone is investigating the satrvers dissaparetions, for example at the beggining of the winonas one or at the end of the wes short, maybe the next character is the one who is making the investigation, maybe maxwells brother who try to find his dissapear daughter or maybe a brand new character with a black novel detective theme, i think this coul be an interesting concept (sorry for my english its pretty late and i am lazy and exausted to think)

This video felt actually really serious and informative, with real points and arguments in detail with some degree of research behind, the lack of humor every 5 seconds actually felt really nice. Compared to the usual OrangE videos this one stands out in a good way, and makes a contrast against the usual content. It's not the first time, we could see that in the Y axis video, where he would explain in detail the process of making use of the height axis and was also really serious about it. Great videos, I expect more videos of this kind, but also the usual content. Keep the good work; take it as a treat.

I think they'll add a completely new character. That's what 'new' seems to indicate on the forums from my pov anyway. I like the ocean character idea. Maybe a character like the crab lady? They would have to enhance the ocean content though for that to be worthwhile.

Hear Me Out... New Character is Waluigi Isnt human(giant nose isnt human) Minus sanity(not very smart) Fast sailor in boats(all those mini games)

I think Wilbur is unlikely to be added for a single reason: Now, I haven't played shipwrecked but I'm pretty sure his strenght relies in being friendly to prime apes. Their dst counterparts, Splumonkeys, aren't creatures you will meet often because they don't live in the overworld like every other character related creature. He would need to be reworked considerably and at this point it's better to just make a brand new character.

I hope my homie Wagstaff gets added or Woodlegs. My theory is that the next character could be a farmer for beefalos or any other animal of the constant.

Another similarity: each of these characters can eat something special (wortox can eat souls for health or hunger, worwood can heal himself from poop, wurt gains 33% more hunger from vegetables and can eat durians) so I think the next character will be wilbur, because he gets extra stats from eating bananas.

I have an idea, but it might be highly improbable. It's a character with a W name (for obvious reasons) that can "phase shift" only during full moon or a nth amount of days in random: one that is lightness (the moon) and one that is darkness (the shadows). He/she can "phase shift" in the overworld between the two, only darkness when underground (the caves and ruins), and only lightness when in the Lunar isle. During dark phase, he/she can survive a night (or a number of nights) without any source of light and summon/control a limited number of shadow creatures that can be farmed by other players. This, in turn, raises the sanity drain aura within them compared to uncontrolled shadow creatures. Controlled shadow creatures can also only drop only one nightmare fuel when farmed/killed. During light phase, the sanity aura regen is highly buffed and can be can shared within a group on a percentage basis. He/she can also summon/control a number of "friendly" gestalts that can stun mobs. And when in the lunar isle, lunacy aura will also instantly increase and be shared among a group in a percentage basis. "Friendly" controlled gestalts can also attack aggroed gestalts. And the lore, I guess, would be someone who was in the constant as long as Webber does as was attacked/assimilated by a combined clash of powerful shadow creatures and gestalts.

Gotta go with my boi Wagstaff, Personally my favorite and his crafting tab plus lore significance is incredible Really banking on it, if not this year at least the next

lots of people think that they might do a beefalo character but the only way i could see that working would be in faster beefalo taming or being able to make them fight for you which would only work if you have like a shit ton of beefalos and don't have to worry about them dying there might be a nightmare creature character that would gain sanity from being in the dark maybe around 1-3 per minute depending on the level of darkness and die in the light and have a goggle craft which would prevent this. this would encourage cave bases he would have night vision he might be passive (not neutral) to nightmare creature. maybe he would move faster than normal characters on cobblestone and not lose speed from the antlion circles. he would have 75 sanity and lose sanity at a rate of 1-5 per minute during the day (whatever is balanced) he might be afraid of spleumonkeys and have a huge sanity drain on them. the death in the light would be gradual but fast. i think he would 150 hungar but lose it at a 1.5 slower rate due to being born in the caves where food is scarce and 150 health and would be able to craft and nightmare fuel which would cost 5-10 health all healing properties are 0.25 of what they are to other characters and he can heal for 5 with nightmare fuel or make a nightmare glop with 5 nightmare fuel to heal him 30 or more lastly his sanity drain from all bosses is 1/2 of what it would be normally and he might be able to craft a tarp that makes it dark for 20 silk so he could live on land effectivley and his goggles would be crafted with 2 sticks 2 silk 2 stone and last for 3 days

I saw Wagstaff on the DST splash screen behind Wilson phasing in and out
