My favourite player of all time is steven gerrard but Thierry Henry was and will always be the most entertaining player I've ever seen. The way he played was so unique, bolasie kind of reminds me of henry in a way but to reach the heights Thierry did is a near impossible feat. I like complete players, gerrard and henry in their prime were the definition of complete in their respective positions.

+Pappy Tron But Henry played against better teams and better players during his time at Arsenal and Aguero cant score from outside of the box, i still think he is the best striker in the BPL right now but he is one dimensional and very limited as a CF; too small and he cant score from free kicks or even outside of the box.The players he plays against today are nowhere near the players Henry played against and terrorized all the time.

+Real Brethem goals per game is misleading though. Henry played in the prem from 22-30, the best years of his career. Suarez also did it in less games because he was banned for a while at the start of the season. he also didn’t take Liverpools penalties and somehow on top of that got into double figures in assists. 2013/14 Suarez had the best individual season the prem has ever seen

That's why higuain, Benzema , Morata, Raul and even van nistlerooy couldn't outscore him. Although the last two played just 1 or 2 seasons with CR7

As good as Ronaldo was, he wasn't the type of player who made his teammates better. That's where I think Henry was better. He didn't just score goals; he was also extremely unselfish with the ball. He still holds the record for most assists in a league season (20). He was just the complete package as a striker.

***** How does that make what I said invalid? United won a lot of trophies, but it wasn't because he made his teammates better. United were just a fantastic side, filled with world-class players, who were coached by arguably the greatest manager of all time. Honestly, though, it's subjective. To me, Henry was the greatest player I ever saw play in the premier league, but there were many others, such as Ronaldo, who were in that upper echelon, too.

Dennis Bergkamp is technically superior to any other player in Premier League History. Truly a freak footballer who’s only flaw was inconsistency. If he had scored goals like Henry more people would rank him among some of the best players in history, but in terms of ability with a football he is one of the few players to make the highest level of football look effortless, almost to the point where he probably wasn’t even trying.

Henry for me. He is the best center forward I have seen in the last decade. It was bcoz of him I became an Arsenal fan. It was because of him I shifted focus from Real madrid galacticos to EPL. Nvr bothered to watch the mighty galacticos after that. Thierry Henry had something magical about him. Something comparable to what Lionel Messi is doing for Barca right now. Except in a much more pronounced and ecstatic manner. The whole Arsenal Invincibles team was centered around him. Amazing football those days.👍🏻🥰

I have to say there have been some class players in the premier league.. Cantona, Zola, Bergkamp however have to go with Henry. I know Cristiano Ronaldo was class for United but Henry did it over a longer period of time. Got to give a little mention to Aguero as well.. another gem

Van nisteroy deserves a mention. He also scored incredible amount of goals, was top scorer (beating Henry that time). Still has record for most goals in consecutive matches (Vardy chasing).

Shearer greatest striker all time top scorer. Title winner. Not always in a good team. Scholes greatest midfielder. Went from best attacking midfielder to best holding playmaker. Won title after title Best defender is hard. It's between Adams, Terry and Ferdinand. Schmeichel best goalkeeper. Had no weaknesses, rarely made mistakes like one season and won lots of titles. Best striker to play in the Premier League. Yeah he is winning trophies at barca he could have had mad legacy at Liverpool if he stayed. 2 mental seasons with 30+ goals and he was banned for some 12 odd games during this period. He put crazy amount of shift in as well had decent number of assists, dribbled past a lot of defenders. More lethal he was a predator for me even as a utd fan I'd say he is the best ever striker in Pl. Henry also won the premier league golden boot 4 times, Van Nistelrooy won the golden boot (his only golden boot) in 2002-2003 by only a single goal from Henry, after that season Henry was the top scorer every year after year until the end of the 2005 - 2006 season. Ronaldo has only won the Premier League golden boot once out of his 6 years in the prem, Henry has won the award more than any other player in the history of the Premiership in his 8 years at Arsenal! case closed

I'm for Henry as well, as he is my favourite player ever, but Midfielders, Defenders and GKs ALWAYS get disrespected in these discussions. Solely because goal scoring is more exciting than last-second tackles/saves and great passes, and because goals are more tangible (stats for tackles, saves etc. rarely get consideration).

He scored 42 goals in 49 games in the 07-08 season. He obviously didn't score them all in the PL, cups included.

Henry scored 42 goals and 28 assists in 51 games in 2002, that sams year he set the record for premier league assists

Tbh there's many greats. But I just want to say it's a shame goals talk because there's been some great midfielders and defenders

Henry by a mile. Giggs, Shearer & Bergkamp follows. But Henry was in a league of his own when he was at Arsenal.

Considering the team he played with he scored 260 goals and won the PL, has to be Shearer. All the others were in great teams.

If Suarez took Penalties in his last season at Liverpool he could have ended on about 45 goals. He also missed a few games due to a ban. Henry is the Greatest player to grace the Premier League in my opinion, Steve Gerrard a close second. Unbelievable players.

Thierry Henry was the best player in the world for a couple of years back in the early Noughties. After him Ronaldo and a young Giggs were exceptional.

Is there any point in even asking this question? Its obvious who the greatest bpl player is. Thierry Henry hands down. Henry did things nobody else could do. Let me also mention, he did it with class. Difference between Henry and Ronaldo is Ronaldo would put himself 1st however Henry wouldn't. The entire country stopped and admired Henry, Ronaldo had more haters than Hitler.

I respect Henry, and he has to be close, but even he looks up to Paul Scholes.

Or if he was Oh I dont know, played as a striker his whole career?! Wayne Rooney is the most selfless superstar to ever grace the PL. He had contract disputes at United in his prime, but he deserved the money he was asking for. SAF moved Rooney around the pitch so much it was ridiculous, and he always got goals. Rooney was the type of player to clear a ball of his own goal line one moment and run up the entire pitch on a counter attack to finish off the move. He was an auxiliary winger and attacking midfielder for so many games and he was still able to score almost 200 goals for United. Now he is the second highest goal scorer in PL history. He won 5 PL titles, what, 3 League Cups and an FA Cup. Very few players can say they've won that much or more. The only ones I can think of are his older United teammates.

If it’s best premier league player then Henry. HOWEVER if it’s the best player to ever play in the EPL it’s unquestionably Ronaldo.

Utd fan. Honestly, I think it's Henry. I think he and Ronaldo had the highest peak for players. Two players who almost every week did things that left me and many others in awe. I really felt that Henry was robbed of a Balon d'Or around the period of 2003-05. I think Ronaldinho won 2 (?), but Henry was the best in the world around that period.
