Common sense over emotions. Dormaahene is saying in other words, that the constituion of a state called Ghana, recognises no overlord as king in that territory. The definiion of king/queen in this respect, is according to british culture and laws, that sees a king/queen as the overall boss of a nation. If you have a problem with that, why not seek a review of the constitution instead of attacking the one enlightening you?

When the British were restoring the Ashanti confederacy, what did it mean. How can you restore something which never existed. The British in their own language would've used create instead of restore. In the restoration, they brought together all the Ashanti former states (including dormaa, which was called wampaamu at the time) back to the fold and at the apex is Asantehene. Nowhere in our language do we have king. We have Asantehene and Amanhene. All the areas who are due for elevation will be elevated and if dormahene is a man he should obstruct it and we will see real men.

Every Ghanaian knows that the man is telling the truth. Asantehene is only for the tribe and the people of Asante. We have similar in Ga, Kwawu , Fante, Ewe, Denkyira and others tribes. Ghana doesn’t have a King like UK, Thailand, Holland and many other countries. Many countries that have their own Kings, every rules are under the King’s government who images are on their currencies. We have nothing like that in Ghana. If Asantehene is a King of Ghana his image should be on Ghana currency and he will be the head of state which all rules will be under his government.

Why is Otumfour the only chief in Ghana that’s recognized even before UN and the King of England. That’s the difference. Even before King Charles at Buckingham Palace, Otumfour is under his umbrella and given appellation. All the other chiefs have not reached the status of Asante hene. There’s no need to argue on this. To argue, the rest of the chiefs should be able to be recognized beyond Otumfour.

Besides, we don't have Bonohene. Even the real genuine Bonos are the Techiman and Sunyani people. Dormaa people are from Akwamu who settled on Bono land. There are paramount chiefs in Bono and Bono East they are part of Asanteman. It will interest you to know that , Asante is not just a tribe. In Asantes we have tribes like Sekyere, Kwabre, Amansie, Adanse, Ahafo, Asante Akyem, Atwima, Nafana(Sampa) and some part of Bono. All these tribes came together to form the Asante Kingdom. So the Asante Kingdom is more of a state. If Asante was an independent state from Ghana as it was in the olden days, I would have referred to myself as a Kwabre but because there is a unification of all these tribes under a unitary government people think Asante Kingdom is Ashanti region. Ahafo region was also known as Western Asante region before Nkrumah added them to Bono. Even in Bono region, we have other tribes but because the Bono people dominant, they named it Bono region. So boss tradition is different from political administration. Even the dormahene was part of the Asanteman and decided to leave.
