King rules an independent state and he is a head of state. Every kingdom is an independent country or state. So, the Pope is king in Vatican city. Lesotho is kingdom is south Africa.. None qualifies in Ghana currently.

Dormaahene is not and can never be Bonohene. Infact he's not even a Bono to start with. He's only a paramount chief of Dormaa and an elected president of the Bono regional house of Chiefs. He has no authority even over the Chiefs he heads as president.

Dormahene must know better a king means Ohenepon simply put chief or chiefs he is different from paramount chief is a chief who has sub chiefs as omanhene
