My uncle is a judge and so was my grandfather who was high up. Being around those get togethers and what not, you’d be surprised what gets talked about and how these so called “lawful” people are really like behind closed doors. Sure, it could be some diabolical move. However, there are a lot of famous people out there so statistics would suggest it's very normal for random and unlikely things to consistently happen to them like rare diseases and fatal accidents.
