1 Who has believed what he has heard from us? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? 2 For he grew up before him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground; he had no form or majesty that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire him. 3 He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4 Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. 5 But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned-every one-to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth. 8 By oppression and judgment he was taken away; and as for his generation, who considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living, stricken for the transgression of my people? 9 And they made his grave with the wicked and with a rich man in his death, although he had done no violence, and there was no deceit in his mouth. 10 Yet it was the will of the LORD to crush him; he has put him to grief; when his soul makes an offering for guilt, he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days; the will of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. 11 Out of the anguish of his soul he shall see and be satisfied; by his knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant, make many to be accounted righteous, and he shall bear their iniquities. 12 Therefore I will divide him a portion with the many, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong, because he poured out his soul to death and was numbered with the transgressors; yet he bore the sin of many, and makes intercession for the transgressors. Isaiah 53

Once upon a time, in a small village nestled amidst rolling hills and verdant pastures, there lived a wise old rabbi. He was renowned far and wide for his sagacity and his ability to solve the most vexing of problems. One day, a group of villagers approached the rabbi with a serious matter. They had heard rumors that a potential messiah had arrived in their midst and they were unsure whether the claims were true or not. The rabbi listened carefully to their concerns and pondered the matter deeply. After much thought, the rabbi came up with a plan to determine the truth of the messianic claim. He instructed the villagers to bring him a fresh apple pie and a pile of dog shit. The villagers were perplexed by this request but complied nonetheless. When they returned to the rabbi with the pie and the excrement, he instructed them to place the items in two separate rooms. He then asked them to invite a local Torah scholar to enter one of the rooms and the village idiot to enter the other room and told each of them to inspect both rooms several times and not to rush into making a decision. After an hour had passed, the rabbi visited each of the rooms to inspect the contents. To his delight, he found that the Torah scholar had chosen the room with the apple pie, while the village idiot had chosen the room with the excrement. The rabbi then turned to the villagers and said, "See, my dear friends, it is easier to verify a messianic claim than it is to tell the difference between an apple pie and a pile of dog shit. For any Torah scholar worth his weight in salt can distinguish between the two, while only a true imbecile wouldn't be able to recognize the truth if the messiah was staring him in the face." And so, the villagers returned home with renewed faith and a newfound appreciation for the wisdom of their beloved rabbi.

No Rabbi can say that any person is Messiah. The many requirements for Messiah are in the Torah and only the Messiah can fulfill by doing them in front of many to see and witness. For example:. According to the Torah in Zachariah 9:9 the messiah must present himself riding on donkey, according to the Torah Psalm 22:16-18 the Messiah hands and feet are to be pierced.and according to the Torah Isaiah 53 3-7 the messiah would be despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering and familiar with pain. And the Torah shows indicates two separate appearance of the Messiah, Zachariah 12:10 and they will look on the messiah whom they have pierced. Blessed is Hashem.

Hi Rabbi, thanks for publishing your class. Very informative and presented. You were also correct in that wars that the Rambam speaks of may be holy wars of which he fought many and won, maybe that's why they are called wars of hashem. I just wanted to share with you something that may be interesting to you. In one of his talks, the Rebbe of Chabad explained that when the Rambam says ויבנה בית במקומו, it means in "his" place, meaning that Meshiach will build a temporary Mikdash in his place where he is in Galus, and from there, he will move later to Israel and the final temple will decend from heaven, and to resolve the opinion of the fact that moshiach himself will build the temple, the Rebbe explained that Moshiach will put the doors on that final temple which is considered like building the structure. And Regarding being a musician, firstly I don't know if anyone knows as a fact that the Rebbe has no musical skills however in general, the Rambam doesn't include the musician and children requirements in his qualifications and also says that some of these details will only be fully understood after he arrives so maybe this is one of them. In General, the Rebbe implied as early as 1951 and many more times after, that he was the Moshiach of our time and will be redeeming us from this exile and in 1992 the Rebbe of Chabad publicly announcing that the redemption has already arrived and Moshiach has been revealed into the world as both חזקת and ודאי, in a talk on (פ' משפטים) and officially began allowing for the first time, for Chabad Chassidim to publicize it to the world. So while we know that sometimes it's hard to understand certain things but knowing the history of the Rebbe and his track record of being very accountable for every word he said, I very much doubt he would have publicized these details if they were not accurate. One more point, when the Rambam says " and if he dies" there is a big difference between dying or being killed when it comes to this subject and it's discussed there. There was a booklet put out by Rabbi Liberman regarding this topic which I would love to share with you if you send me your contact info.

So to be clear, you have said that even God himself does not know who the Mashiach is or will be. You did not directly say this in those exact words but indirectly you stated it. If anyone does not understand what I am saying, it is in reference to your claim that God has set “potential” Messiahs in every generation and that any one of them who would happen to fulfill the five requirements would be the Mashiach. That is saying, logically and according to your reasoning, that God does not know who the individual is. It could have been or could be anyone of the potential Mashiachs you say God has placed in every generation. And that amounts to a large pool of people. It was always my understanding was going to be more specific than that and that he would know who, precisely, and in what timing this Mashiach would come about. That he would be in fact selected by God.

At the 32min mark the lecturer speaks about the expectation that moshiach will be a physical warrior and he points to the war of gog and Magog to substantiate this point. But, the rambam expressly states that all the midrashim and specifically the midrashim which speak of the war between Gog and Magog are not necessary and integral to identifying moshiach and the messianic times. From the war of gog and magog there is no proof to this point. Additionally the rabbis taught that "all is in the hands of heaven except for the fear of heaven" so really we cannot win anything for God except in a religious sense so on that basis it would actually make a lot of sense and even more sense to interpret "and he will be victorious in waging the wars of God" to mean religious wars. I think this point is further validated when we consider really what is the essence of moshiach and clearly that is the restoration of the Jewish people to God and religion. Besides being the primary characteristic of moshiach himself, steeped in Torah, returning Jewish people back to their religion etc These are the essential and defining characteristics of the messianic era The rambam explicitly states this at the end of the Laws of Kings "The rabbis didn't yearn for the days of moshiach for any reason except so that the Jewish people will be free to study Torah and serve the Creator" And "in that time the whole world will be steeped in the knowledge of GD as the sea is covered with water" Additional proof is from the Talmud Sanhedrin 98b Where the possible identity of moshiach is discussed Amongst the individuals mentioned Rav Yehuda hanosi Daniel the prophet The Talmud sages Rav nachman and Menachem ben chizkiya The talmud rabbis head of schools, rabbis yannai, Shiloh, and chanina We can clearly see from here there is no expectation that moshiach need fight physical wars as all these individuals identified as candidates to be moshiach were spiritual warriors and not physical warriors. Moshiach is a religious figure first and foremost and essentially.

Shalom you all, Mashiach will come in a way and time nobody will expect. Abba's ways are not men's ways. Mashiach will not die but will usher the messianic age to fulfill Hashem's ultimate purpose . He will rule and judge the nations with the holy ones of Israel from Jerusalem. The time period is not specified anywhere in the Tanakh. The Tanakh does not specify that he will die either. The Tanakh says that there is one ONLY heir of king David to establish the Davidic Covenant. Not two or three. Just because king David and King Solomon had many children, and hundreds of wives it doesn't mean all were entitled to the promise. Just like Abraham was given one son Isaac ( birth right over Ishmael ) as the promise seed to bring forth Israel. Hashem also chose a specific lineage to fulfill his oath to king David. Judah had more than one son but only one was chosen to bring forth lineage of king David. Psalms 89:3,4 ,29-31,34-36 clearly says that the future Mashiach will come directly from his flesh not from a concubine but from israelite woman from the royal house of David and the Mashiach will endure forever.

You mentioned that one idea is Moshiach rules 40 years- which is interesting because I thought also there's idea of the m., son & grandson ruling 200+ years collectively (or at least rest of the sixth millennium if that happens soon (however off the calendar might be a bit). But it seems maybe a dialectic lies in dual reigns : like Dwd 40 years-- Dwd & ben Dwd co reign 40 years- ben Dwd 40 years- ben Dwd & ben ben Dwd coreign 40 years- and ben ben Dwd reign 40. (A fun pun: ben ben is the Kemetic phoenix- ben ben stone is the capstone/pyramidion and Dawid was assumed to be (maternally) a Canaan (until Israelite wife and Canaanite wife revealed switcheroo years later) - and so was Dawid called the stone the builders rejected (capstone represents completion/5 sides or uncapped pyramid with 6 is incompletion) the chief cornerstone- i.e., the pyramidion! And Dalet vav and Dalet in pictographic Hebrew otiot the Dalet leather triangular door flap forms the 2 triangles/pyramids as chorev (3 days away)/Sinai (weeks away). (That's the pshat to me even though the two terms seems to used interchangeably) (And Dawid can be pronounced thoth! (Dalet as a double ot like drawing out ADONAI ECHATHTHTHTHTH...... A la R. Akiva)

The two greatest Jewish leaders of all time are patriarch Abraham from we obtain the covenant and Moses. Neither one was a music songwriter or singer. Do not see why Messiah has to a musician. King David was warrior, musician and violator of multiple commaments, thou shall not kill, thou shall commit adultery and thou shall covet thy neighbor's (his soldier) wife. Not very righteous part of King David hence don't believe Messiah had to be everything like king David, thus Messiah does not have to be a musician.

The grave issues surrounding the Lubavitchers' identification of their Rebbe, Menachem Mendel Schneerson as the Messiah demand immediate attention: The absurdity of declaring a living Rabbi as the Messiah raises serious concerns at least from the perspective of the Lubavitchers as It contradicts the belief that the Messiah would come from the dead, as Rabbi Schneerson was alive when first hailed as the Messiah by his followers. Even after his death, the Lubavitchers insist that he remains the Messiah, now emphasizing his resurrection. Any claim of a living Messiah is dismissed as false, disregarding logic. The unwavering devotion to Rabbi Schneerson as the greatest Rabbi and Messiah is based on subjective perceptions, ignoring objective evidence: The lack of transparency and evasiveness regarding the Lubavitchers alleged identification of their Messiah raises important questions: Why was Rabbi Schneerson never directly asked about his Messiahship? He could have openly addressed the issue through interviews or press conferences, but such attempts were conspicuously absent. Despite the opportunity to clarify his stance, the dissemination of Lubavitch Messiah propaganda persists, with billboards and flyers littering cities worldwide. The purported proofs of Rabbi Schneerson's messiahship range from the ludicrous to the nonsensical: Citing the Gematria of 770 as evidence is baseless, as it merely represents a street address assigned by the Postal Service. Additionally the claim that Rabbi Schneerson's lack of intervention during a song proclaiming him as the Messiah is proof is utterly ridiculous and holds no weight. The absence of Rabbi Schneerson's explicit acknowledgement, denial, or proactive involvement in the Messiah claim undermines its legitimacy: One would expect a Messiah to proclaim or deny such a significant role, yet Rabbi Schneerson remained passive. The failure of a prophet to emerge and support the claim further weakens its credibility. Even prominent advocate Rabbi Shmuel Butman is not regarded as Elijah the Prophet by most Lubavitchers. It is imperative to recognize the gravity of these issues and address them urgently. The implications of the Lubavitchers manipulation of Maimonides to bolster their false messianic claim for Rabbi Schneerson cannot be underestimated. By distorting his teachings, they not only support their delusion but also potentially obstruct the true Messiah from emerging. This dangerous precedent sets the stage for future roadblocks to the genuine Messiah, undermining the credibility of any claim that arises. The fallacious reasoning employed by the Lubavitchers, equating Rabbi Schneerson's greatness as a Rabbi with his messiahship, fails to hold up under scrutiny. While it is undeniable that he was an exceptional Rabbi with remarkable knowledge and outreach efforts, these qualities do not automatically confer messiahship. The Lubavitcher rebbe's followers cannot substantiate their claim solely based on his achievements and spiritual level. The inability of most Lubavitchers to entertain the possibility of a Messiah other than Rabbi Schneerson exposes their narrow-mindedness. Perhaps the true Messiah will emerge from a different spiritual level, with Rabbi Schneerson or someone like him serving as an advisor or role model. Instead of embracing this potential scenario, the Lubavitchers remain blinded by their devotion, hindering the recognition of a genuine Messiah. The flawed logic of the Lubavitchers is exemplified by a simple numerical scale. Even if Rabbi Schneerson is considered a perfect 100, this does not exclude the possibility of a Messiah at 99 or even lower. The Lubavitchers' inability to grasp this basic concept further highlights their misguided approach. A similar flaw in reasoning is demonstrated through a pyramid diagram. Despite Rabbi Schneerson occupying the highest position on the pyramid, this does not guarantee his messiahship. The true Messiah, once identified, would naturally come from a lower level. The Lubavitchers failure to comprehend this concept, attributing it to a misinterpretation of Maimonides, reveals their misguided reliance on flawed reasoning. The Lubavitchers' obsession with Rabbi Schneerson as a flawless diamond blinds them to the possibility of a Messiah emerging from a different background. Considering the potential of a ba'al teshuvah or someone from a lower level assuming the role of the Messiah could lead to a more dynamic and compelling narrative. It is a disservice to dismiss such intriguing possibilities in favor of an elderly Rabbi's resurrection. The Lubavitchers' perception of their Rebbe as a perfect diamond overlooks the fact that every flawless diamond was once a diamond in the rough. This oversight prevents them from considering the potential of the true Messiah emerging from unexpected quarters. By limiting their understanding to a perfect diamond, the Lubavitchers disregard the prophetic element required for identifying the true Messiah. In conclusion, the Lubavitchers' premature and false identification of their Rabbi as the Messiah is a grave mistake. A genuine messianic presentation should be unassailable and expanding, not self-destructive. The Lubavitchers' lack of foresight and disregard for the crucial role of a prophet in identifying the Messiah is evident. The Jewish people have endured enough false messianic claims and urgently need a true messianic presentation to distinguish the authentic from the counterfeit. The importance of distinguishing between what is organic and what is fabricated cannot be overstated. It is imperative that the Jewish people remain vigilant and reject any further false messianic presentations. The day will come when the true Messiah will be unmistakably revealed, bringing clarity and unity to the Jewish community. Perhaps when the Lubavitchers admit their mistake and go public with a global announcement that Rabbi Schneerson is not the Messiah and that he never was, then this will be the sign that the real messiah has truly arrived. 🙏🏻☮️🙏🏻

Let me just focus on this sentence in the very beginning, "Anybody who wants to be Moshiach..." Just think about the absurdity of this phrase. First of all, who in their right mind would want to be Moshiach? No, seriously... Like the amount of stuff you would have to accomplish, the sheer responsibility, the time, the effort... Okay, so, no sane/rational person would WANT to be Moshiach... so, it has to be a crazy person... right, I mean, we're following the chain of logic here... but obviously, a crazy person cannot be Moshiach, nor can Moshiach be crazy... but that's not even the main problem with your statement... the problem is that it's not about somebody "wanting to become Moshiach," it's about G-d creating Moshiach, grooming him, training him, teachinhg him for the job that he (Hashem) wants him to do... because Moshiach is both part of Hashem (as yechida) and his servant... I'm not going to continue this, nobody reads these comments anyway.... the truth is that most of the time it's frustrating and annoying and hard... and you still end up being called "crazy"... it's a freaking zoo down here. You guys think you're human beings, but you're not, you're really mostly animals... you're developing/becoming... the process is close to completetion, but far from over. I wish I would finally come, but I also wish I wasn't here to see it.

The Moshiach isn't the Moshiach out of want but out of necessity. I almost pity the Moshiach for what the teeming hordes of cruel frightened fragile people in this world will do to Him.

''The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor the legislator from between his feet, until Shiloh comes, and nations submit to him.'' The only explanation that I saw of this verse from rabbis is just complete negation of the logic that it holds and I was shocked. Well, maybe I just didn't took into account ancient disputes and biases. First they say that the ''grass is red'' and that your eyes are deceiving you. Then they share profound wisdom that confirms the statement above; ''2+2'' is actually still ''2+2'' cause ''2'' can never become ''4''. OK. I accept the equation, but I'm still not ready to give up on things like; grammar, notion of time, law of cause and effect, things like that. Can you please help me with this problem, I have no respect for non-Jewish authorities on the matters of Torah.

The Prophet Rael has declared that he’s the Machiah. In 1973 he was visited by an alien named Yahweh who explained that all life on Earth was created scientifically by scientists from his civilization (known to the Jewish people as ‘Elohim’) They asked Rael for an embassy to be built so they can arrive officially. Machiah Rael has denounced Israel for the genocide against the Palestinians. Maschiah warns that the survival of Israel hangs in the balance unless the state recognizes him as the long awaited Messiah. He has called on the Israeli government many times in the last 50 years to grant him a plot of land near Jerusalem to build the embassy which is the prophecised Third Temple. The Elohim confirmed on 6 August 2015 that they have withdrawn protection from Israel and you are seeing the fall out today. It is said the destruction of Israel, should they refuse Rael, will occur within the next four years.

Daniel 9:25 “Know and understand this: From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven ‘sevens,’ and sixty-two ‘sevens.’ It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble. After the sixty-two ‘sevens,’ the Anointed One (THE MASHIACH) will be put to death and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. " Gabriel told Daniel that The Mashiach would be killed before The Temple's destruction. That happened in 70 AD, 47 years after the crucifiction of Jesus.

From the time of the covenant with Abraham with offering his son to Hashem till the time of Moses to King David thousands of years past in between. Why is it strange that thousands of years have to transpire between a person claiming to be Messiah to a second time period for the person to fulfill all Messiah requirements. So far Only one person of the 5 claiming to be Messiah has fulfill the main Torah Messiah prophecy of Psalm 22:16-18 and Isaiah 53 3 and likewise was a Yanuka at an early childhood age.

The thing is mashiach is first the suffering servant. Cut off from HaShem yet HaShem is always with him, to pay the price he must be in exile, lost.and alone, he can't know HaShem until HaShem reveals Himself. He must go to death time and time again and live with the injuries and yet death is denied him. The injuries would cripple and kill others, yet he bears the suffering for his people unknowingly. HaShem and the Torah and prayers and being with the Jewish people and family and children would be a comfort and mashiach would fail. When it's time HaShem would reveal that he has the soul of Moses and that he was Jewish and had been born in darknessl. Music he could learn yet he can't açcess that part of the soul because their is a veil over his soul. The suffering servant has to fulfill that mission first, then HaShem lift the veil first. Isaiah 53 says if his soul gives restitution he will have children. HaShem reestablishs the dynasty of David.

Very amazing, Orthodox Jewish don't believe in creating a State, they believe Judaism is a religion not State, they also refute Torah didn't teach to build the third temple.. why there is so much difference within Judaism? & Where is the Original Torah ? Does it preserve its original wording? Jewish waiting Mashiach Christians waiting for Jesus Mashiach Muslims waiting for Mehdi Mashiah... Abrahamic religions all waiting for Mashiach but They don't want to bring peace to each other.. letting Mashiach to bring each other's wishes shows how surprising Each Abrahamic religion claims.....

You forgot the 1st job of the moshiach and because of that, you have him on a high pedestal that he's not ready for. He is the suffering servant. What does that encompass. He suffers up to death, time and time again. He is an exile, in the land of the living. He is cut off from G_d, Torah, his people. He wont even know he's Jewish until its revealed to him. He wont know Hebrew, he wont be anywhere near the land. No family, friends or community. G_d divorced him from his mother. Even his very soul is tormented. He endures affliction after affliction, he lives in poverty. When it's time for moshiach to be made known, G_d himself will tell you in a way that their will never be a doubt. G_d will have to purify him, take off the veil that is on him. Think of him from that perspective. He is repaying the debts he and his people owe G_d, when that is paid in full, it will be his time and not before. He will not claim it, G_d will claim it for him.

is it true that Jewish people should not be back in Israel if they really believe in this Mashisch prophecy? how are they allowed to go back and form a country before he has come? I’m not well versed in this but I think that’s why you see true Torah followers or the very religious Jewish people protesting against the state of Israel
