Who is John LUTHER?

So, not my usual... but I'm in a super Luther mood recently. I wish I could react to this show for the first time on my channel! I'd love to see another reactor do it.

Just thought I'd share a fanvideo I made while my internet was down! Outlander reaction will be up later today and the next Premiere Pioneer (Attack On Titan) and another Band Of Brothers over the next few days.
You know, I've watched this show several times now and it's only with these types of compilations that you notice how many fucked up things happened to John in the short amount of time the show takes place in; when compared, Sherlock's was a fucking walk in the park haha Still saddens me that this doesn't get the attention it so deserves. And finally, I still believe Alice is alive... and even if they say she really is dead I'll remain in denial.

I know right. The show is so intensely grim and depressing - poor John! I really hope he gets the happy ending, escaping the job and running off with Alice! And you're totally right lol - Sherlock is a god damn sunshine rainbow in comparison. According to the Wiki they're trying to make a US remake (though there's no updates since 2015) and were thinking of Marlon Wayans as Luther. NO THANKS. I wish networks would just broadcast the bloody originals rather than attempting a crappier remake (*cough* Gracepoint/Broadchurch *cough*) Agreed about Alice - she always gets away... she must!

Really?! It's wonderful. Idris Elba is amazing in it. As is Ruth Wilson as Luther's friendly local psychopath... and they have a very special chemistry. You only heard her voice in this video but I could literally make a whole video dedicated to those two (and many people have on YT). There are 4 series' with 16 episodes overall (good ol' British TV) and it's incredibly dark/grim. And legitimately terrifying - some of the killers/murders could give me nightmares! The score is wonderful too - I used a remix of the piece 'Carnage' in this video, the piece 'The Children' is beautiful too. It also has awesome soundtrack (I listen to it on Spotify on repeat!) - I believe Idris Elba has an album of Luther related songs (he super loves the character). Idris has won a Golden Globe/SAG/Critic's Choice and NAACP Award for the role and apparently Obama told him he's a fan of the show!
