I thought mostly the same thing, if attacks are allowed, then all the teleport characters like zelda, mewtwo, meta knight and palu should be able to teleport down before they finish.

@@deleteeast8520 Pichu can make it, but Pikachu cannot. Pichu's up special goes a little farther than Pikachu's. Mewtwo makes it with teleport. We were not able to get Palu or Zelda. My thought for Ness was to start PK Thunder a bit before he can start falling, and then when he descends you make the bolt chase him down and do PK Rocket right near the end of the pit

Very impressive. The only one I can think of immediately that may still have a chance is Lucas, and that's only with a well timed PK Thunder sending him down the shaft just as the final block poofs away (Ness stops his momentum at the end of PK Thunder while Lucas doesn't, so only Lucas may have a chance as far as I can tell). 🐍

Did you try deep breathing with WFT. I'm not too knowledgeable of the weight of the fighters but she could probably make it with that since I think it would make her weigh a bit more allowing for a faster fall or fast fall.

I appreciate the dedication to the bit, but this doesn't seem like a challenge anyone would be doubting superheavies on!

I feel like it would take a lot of time and practice to get ness and lucas to use up special to launch them downward fast enough without bumping into the walls

I feel like Ice Climbers could make it. Whenever I use their Squall Hammer without mashing, they fall like rocks. Is it faster or slower than their fast fall?

After Palutena uses Up B her fall speed increases

Clears by game SSB64: 5/12 SSBM: 7/14 SSBB: 9/18 SSB4: 10/21 SSBU: 17/24 It seemed like every game was comfortably hanging around the 50% mark until Ultimate's DLC decided to absolutely annihilate this challenge (only Terry and Byleth didn't make it).

Lots of characters with up specials (or other mobility options) which can be aimed straight down probably could have made it - Pikachu, Zelda, Pichu, Mewtwo, Meta Knight, Lucas or Ness if you were very stylish, and Palutena. I feel like Inkling falls faster after up special, so that might be something to try as well, but I'm not sure if that's actually a thing (I know for a fact that Palutena does get increased fall speed after up b, though).

I mean, Little Mac does have another thing he's good for. Speed-based challenges often go in his favor. Dude's one of the fastest characters, running with his face inches off of the ground.

I think Hero was the real winner with how fast he falls in Kaclang mode. And he can do it with Acceleratle as well, since it boosts his falling speed.

If teleports are allowed, then Mewtwo pichu can indeed make it by using downward faced UpB. It might be that I'm bad but Pikachu cannot make it because his UpB is shorter. Any other character that has a teleport is not fast enough.

That lava platform appears whenever the stage is reset. It was put there to force Player 1 to spawn at the top. Then the platform flies away

Just fall off the ledge and fall onto the platform above, so everyone can make it
