Dear Mr. Pro, consider this video one of your best. 🏆 I am an old guy now 70+ years old, been turning the wrenches since vocational high school. Worked on sewer installations, to rigging an armature for a 10,000 H.P., to the DCC controls of a multifloored building. It is my honor Dan, to stand next to fellow Knight (Mr. Pro), in the order of The Brotherhood of the Wrench!🛠🛡

WoW!! You are the real deal! Glad to be aboard!! Thank you for sharing your history! Yes, things would have been different for me also if I had the internet as a kid! Back in '75, 5th grade, I wanted to design a remote car starter. Didn't get past the thinking stage!! But, I had the idea LONG before it was made!

Great video! I knew from the beginning that you were going to excel. So cool that you are doing this for your boys. We can see you are a great dad... (gotta keep them riding dirtbike upgrade video... camper videos so you can give them lifelong awesome childhood memories of being out in the woods trying to catch squirrels, etc). Your boys will be unstoppable if they grow up watching and learning from their old man. I'm sure you have them out in the garage often, and will be able to say "get me a 9/16", and have them climbing up on the stool, reaching up over the bench, and running it over to you by the time they are 4 🙂 It would be cool to see you incorporate them into your videos as they get older, but I can understand your reservations. My dad and grandfather both worked at the Bethlehem Steel mill when I was very young, and fortunately they were never involved with any accidents. I was able to learn alot from both of them, and was always right there in the middle whenever there were projects to be done. Keep up the great work here... well done my friend!

Well, I'm darn glad you started this channel! I've been an electronics tech doing failure analysis for 40+ years and I've learned a good bit of hydraulics and pneumatics from you. You've also dispensed some good advice: take advantage of opportunities and have faith in yourself. Congratulations on the 100K!

Hey Dan, just wanted to say thank you for telling your story and starting your channel! My grandfather owned and operated his own dragline company and did trench work for some farmers out in Northern California back in the 60’s thru to the 90’s if memory serves correctly. He passed away about 11 years ago now and I like to think that if he were still around and was tech savvy he’d have a channel just like yours. Thanks for being that extension of my grandfather that i greatly appreciate and cherish. Happy 100k!!!

It’s funny how I came across one of your shorts while back and thought it was pretty cool and interesting, definitely glad I subbed cause you got some great content. So when I saw one of your somewhat recent plant maintenance videos with a drone over top of the building, I realized I drive past that place quite often on the way home from work if I go that route. It’s crazy what a small world it is.

That was a great video, Dan. It is great to hear about your background. I have been fortunate to have been in quite a few different places that I was able to learn from old professionals about my trade. I was a submarine nuclear mechanic in my navy days and really enjoyed wrenching on equipment. Your channel is a nice tonic when I feel like everyone is just throwing stuff away and not fixing it. Keep up the good work. BTW, being a grandfather is even better than being a dad, you'll see someday.

I found your channel earlier this year and your knowledge of an industry my own father worked in, as he is retired now from West Tech Building Supplies(a companythe extrudes the pieces used to make the fames of the plastic/vinyl windows and doors, he also worked for a companyinstallingfire protection systems, i find fascinating and the fact that you make your explanations easy to understand made me want to support you by subscribing, and know that you have at least one Canadian watching almost every video you post the day you post. So thank you Dan for teaching me things my father wasnt able to when i was growing up as he was always working

Totally agree with the boring fleet work on truck but don't agree with garbage trucks been at a refuse fleet for almost 7yrs now and really enjoy the diverse work that I do daily. Especially being I specialize in wiring and really intense problems that I work with dealers and our vendors to repair my father in-law however really enjoys his work as industrial mechanic at the local tire factory. A lot of your videos line up with a lot of stories he has with pneumatics and motors. Love the content!
