I think she's sus but I don't think she has any intention of harming the trailblazer. I also get the impression that being an emanator might suck and that at least some of the "death that follows her" is accidental and haunts her.

@@NightmareRex6 I think it has to do with how stowaways get inside of the dream without proper clearanance, let's say a mentally ill person or someone who isnt in their right mind goes inside without clearance from the family then their psyche can negatively affect the dreams and the people in it. Firefly does have an illness but it only affects her body but the family doesnt want to take chances

Something to note about our conversations with Acheron is that the answer we choose when she speaks in red text can change how she remembers things during our next meeting. Choose the correct options during your dream encounter and she will tell you that she knows its your room and found it sus when she saw Aventurine entering (she still got lost tho). Give the correct options after Aventurine leaves and she will later tell you inside memory zone that she got send there by Sparkle/Hanabi without warning or explanation. However, it seems she is honest with us in either outcome. The red text kinda tells us if *Acheron is confused* or *Acheron will remember that* for the next encounter with her.

From what I've read, it seems Acheron's red dialog is randomized. Even if you choose the same options on two different playthroughs, Acheron may reply with something different each time.

A Raiden Mei expy on the path of finality sounds too perfect to be a coincidence.

What I found interesting about the last scene was, that Sam didn't even acknowledge us - the Trailblazer. If I remember correctly, he said something along the lines: "A Galaxy Ranger and a Memo Keeper.", but he just ignored us completely (rude!!!). Also, he - Sam - addressed Acheron as "Galaxy Ranger", so maybe the two know each other?

no i think is totaly the oposite, he is only treatened by the ranger and black swan, the moment when he wanted to grab us can give it up too , lots of ppl think he is attacking us but i think the oposite, maybe he want to save us from the other two , both acheron and black swan are very sus in their own unique way, well time will show if im right but knowing some leaks about him , he aint that bad, like SW said he is a fair shooter

@@fufu-jh If I recall correctly, the gesture of Sam's hands in the fight cutscene between him and Acheron were _reaching_ or _trying to grab_ Trailblazer. Sam ignoring Trailblazer might be because he isn't hostile against Trailblazer. Since as far as I know, the relation between Astral Express and Stellaron Hunter is that of a frenemies. Not to mention if Sam is truly related to Firefly, who is a good friend with Trailblazer, then Sam couldn't have been hostile towards Trailblazer especially. But then again, I love Firefly and I can only trust her in Penacony. Maybe it's my bias speaking.

Interesting thing to point out is the first we met Archeron in the dream, there's room with images of characters in Penacony story which could be teasing Main Story or Character Story because the dialogue for BS and Sparkle is the SAME in their Character Quest and the order they placed (in MC pov) seems off but make sense for Archeron if she actually is Emanator of Finality: Sam&SW Sunday&Robin Aventurine&Ratio Sparkle&BS

I can't really trust Aventurine when he says "Acheron disposed of Duke Inferno to steal his invitation". Remember the beginning of Penacony? How staff wouldn't let the Trailblazer in with Dan Heng's invitation? Feels like that whole sequence was to hammer home that 'Invitations are not transferable'. So either Aventurine (and Black Swan) is trying to deceive us, or someone leaked false information to him.

The only reason I don't believe Acheron in an antagonist and is actually one of the more trustworthy characters in Penacony so far is how genuine she is when she got lost like Zoro, and that very short funeral she held in memory of Firefly. While it is true she is hiding something, especially with showing off her true powers that we do get a hint of in the White Night MV, I really can't call her a villain. The opening scene where she asks the Trailblazer questions felt like a vibe check to see if they are ready to experience the Penacony story, of which we see Acheron shed a tear hinting that she might knowledge of the possible heartaches they might experience. Edit: Also being an Emanator doesn't automatically mean evil. It just means she is very powerful. Aventurine might have made it seem like they're evil because of our experience with Phantylia. He did study the Trailblazer and as a merchant it's a handful skill to be able to charm their customers, to be closer to us and make use of the Astral Express. Black Swan did warn us to scrutinize everything he says.

This! It's mentioned at one point that she fights with her blade in it's sheath, rarely drawing the blade. I think when she draws her sword she reaches her true power/ unleashes something she can't control. She hesitated to draw her blade during the firefly moment in case she killed the trailblazer/ black swan as well as the meme, which is in turn why Black Swan says she saved us from Acheron when she takes us to Aventurine - she had drawn her blade against Sam and so was locked into "kill everything mode". I feel like something is going to happen that allows her to gain control over that power so she can reliably fight alongside us in future.

It is true that Black Swan said to scrutinize things Aventurine says, but she also says he’s probably the most trustworthy person we can align with. It’s a weird duality that I don’t quite get. How can you find someone trustworthy, but then say you shouldn’t trust their words at face value? At least Black Swan herself seems like a good, well natured woman (given her voicelines in game).

One observation I have that no one seems to be talking about is the symbol on Acheron's sword (and shoulder pad). It looks so much like the stigma of death used in both honkai 3rd and honkai gakuen. Aventurine mentioned Acheron as an emanator who brings death and finality. I don't know if there is an Aeon of Death so I'm not really sure what to make of this. Just throwing it out there.

As far as I know canonically theres no mention of an aeon of death so I suppose the closest would be finality given it represents the end of everything but maybe thats more akin to oblivion. Hmm im kinda wondering now whether there is such an aeon to represent death. Then again there are aeons that represents aspects of it like destruction

My suspicion is that the Acheron we originally met in the dream at the beginning was actually Black Swan. Both of them respond the same way when being told that they can't do something, by simply replying, "Why not?". Black Swan does it to Sparkle, and Acheron does it in the dream. Black Swan has the ability to temporarily remove people's memories, which is what is happening to Acheron. She also mentions having the ability to predict the future based on memories.

"Asheron"? She doesn't say that in the trailer... Also, I think she is Nihility, since don't Self-Annihilators have similar memory issues? And her drip marketing teases a connection to the new relic set which seems to deal with IX.

The theme of panacony is to unravel the truth, truth among lies, truth among dream. Whose word you can trust among all cast in panacony. And about duke inferno invitation, how can Acheron use somebody else invitation form different group if we the trailblazer have problem simply because we are not Dan Heng.

I suspect Acheron isn't affiliated with any of the paths Aventurine named (though of those, Finality has the greatest probability IMHO). Rather, I think she is an emenator of IX/Nihility. If that is so, I think her psyche may have been fragmented by IX's gaze and her "memory loss" is more a function of not having conscious access to portions of her mind. This, in turn, would protect her from Memokeepers like Black Swan, who would possibly have to cross a psychic "effect horizon" to access those memories. All speculation on my part, but that's where I am at the moment.

I dont normally make theories or read leaks on lore because I like theorycrafting based on where the story is currently. Itd be kinda boring if i just covered the lore purely using leaks as then theyll just be leaks. Also in the video, I liked the idea of her being finality but I did explore the other possibilities as well like nihility and hunt, I even mentioned that given the imagery she was seen around in the penacony trailer that nihility isnt off the table in another video

5:54 Hi3 points to the fact that every Mei follows or has ties to finality in some way, with raiden Mei being a herrscher, and ei being a aeon. Because of this, I think Acheron is a emenator of finality, most likely embodying thunder or origin.

Long answer:YES YES YES YES YES YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS 1000000% TRUST HER Short answer: yes she is the realest mf and only comrade that we can rely on in the story and its hinted over and over again its so obvious that she is doing a teacher role to us in tough times and guiding us as a frnd(she also gets reminded of a frnd in past whenever she look at us) ALSO SHE NEVER ONCE LIED TO US EVEN THO SHE IS THREATENING IN OUTSIDE. Aventurine, black swan all only help us for their benefit and ipc lapdogs r the scum of the universe they always gamble ppl lives and trust for their gains.

the difference here is Acheron is a raiden mei expy who is a well known friendly character in all universes for mc and she is too strong to use underhanded tactics like aventurine or phantylia aka tingyun. if she wanted us dead she would have killed us instantly the moment she had a chance instead she only helped us so far and warned us bout the ppl who r sus and its clear she knows where the enemy is but making her own investigations first before she can execute@@someoneinasia

acheron is not raiden mei. acheron is acheron. also, idk why you hate aventurine that much. yes he is an asshole, but he hasn't lie to us yet. he keep secrets yes, just like everyone else including acheron. aventurine could be side antagonist, but i don't think main villain. aventurine being the main villain would be the least emotionally impactful bc it's too cheap and obvious. the most impactful emotionally would be sunday, imagine if the person who killed robin and mastermind all the mess is her own brother. now that's the plot twist i expect from shaoji.

Topaz herself feels less interested to talk long with him in call He is master of sus and we even seen his 2nd form looking monstrous and right next to that moment we see his sly smirk with glowy eyes telling he only wants to use us as long as he needs us for his gamble I wont call him main villain bcoz ppl like him always hide in the shadows to manipulate others and lie to make sure they survive even after the main villain is dead and ipc ppl all just come and ruin everything they touch and leave in silent just like how greedy corpo works irl Acheron is raiden expy whether u believe it or not but yes in this story she is Acheron but as a person who seen her story in every game for a long time and know her so well i can assure u she will not be our enemy and u can trust her Trust me on this one

I think youre on to something with the finality and the memory thing. If we assume elio is finality the red text and the "script" from elio really plays into the ideals of terminus, i dont tbink this makes her evil but she could get in our way at some point

Then again as a concept both of these Paths could be considered as overlapping, and we also do not know much about either of them. Though for the Device IX faction, it does have a quote from a Galaxy Ranger.... hm. Either way, Ill pull the shit out of her and probably her LC. Im running out of LCs for Nihility so I might need to lol

You mentioned you weren't familiar with Honkai impact so I highly recommend you look into that to understand Acheron better, since the GI expy of Raiden Mei isn't nearly as close to her HI3 counterpart as this one. In fact, Acheron directly quotes Yae Sakura and heavily implies that the person the MC reminds her of is a Kaslana (Kiana or Kevin depending on which gender is your Trailblazer)

The plot there is so unnecessarily bloated I wouldn't recommend reading it to my enemy.

After the new animation short, I think it's safe to say that she DID kill the Duke Inferno. As for the path she is following, it's very possible that it's Nihility or cope theory, she is an Emanator of two paths (but very unlikely). While I am more inclined to believe that Aventurine might be using us, I do believe in Black Swan because she did literally saved us from Acheron. I assume that the animation happened before the Trailblaze quest happen and AFTER her companion quest, which meant she knew how dangerous Acheron can get and literally did save us from Acheron before things get messy in the battle with Sam. As for the red text, I assume its crazy bitch form that is speaking 😭

I have a bit of a different take. Aventurine says that Duke Inferno didn't make it to Penacony and that he was killed en route, following it up with the statement that a mysterious individual claiming to be a galaxy ranger arrives on Penacony carrying a music box (an invitation). I think he might genuinely be telling the truth, as Black Swan suggests, but that doesn't mean we should take his words at face value given how crafty he is. He merely mentions these two facts in succession and implies a causal link between them, but we have no reason to accept this implication. While it's true that Duke Inferno didn't make it (which Black Swan confirms too, and we see this in her myriad celestia trailer), Acheron may not be the one to have done it. As another commenter has pointed out, the opening scene hammers home the point that invitations can't simply be transferred. However, we see Acheron roaming the hotel and able to access the VIP section where our rooms are. This seems to suggest she's genuinely an invited guest. Who then, might be the one(s) to have attacked Duke Inferno? Well, there are at least two known unwanted "guests" on Penacony - the Stellaron Hunters, and Firefly. If they were invited to Penacony by the watchmaker, they would have their own rooms and not be pursued by the Family, and yet, both parties appear to be stowaways. How did they come to know about the invitation if they were not invited themselves? It's certainly possible that one or the other attacked Duke Inferno and found out about this, but being unable to use the invitation, had to resort to sneaking into the dreamscape in order to participate. Aventurine may or may not be aware of this, but perhaps he merely came into possession of the knowledge and decided the best way to convince (mislead) the trailblazer is to present it in such a way that it implies Acheron is a villain, when in reality, the two facts may be completely unrelated.

You should think of her as a Star Rail equivalent of a Herrscher. The Herrscher of Nihility if you will. If she was meant to be our enemy we would certainly know it. She will probably be like an anti-hero. Its Mei, and regardless of what universe shes in, shes never been evil. Though i must say an evil Mei would be awesome and terrifying 😅😅. Remember when our beloved Kiana was the Herrscher of the end and literally kills everyone way back when? It could happen here i suppose though i doubt it. They usually want us to love Mei ❤

I figured I could give a bit of an insight on Raiden Mei but this does include spoilers for part 1 of Honkai Impact. So to first talk about Mei, we nede to talk about the Herrschers and why they exist. Basically, a higher existence known as Cocoon of Finality is trying to embrace humanity but in the process, Honkai born through its influnence destroys civilization. There were many theories by the game’s cast on what exactly the Honkai was and since the characters are unreliable narrators, it should be taken with a grain of salt. I remember a character saying that the Honkai would get stronger as the civilization progressed. But that is a different topic. 50k years before the current timeline in the game, known as the Previous Era, the Cocoon of Finality tried to embrace humanity but killed almost every human in the planet besides the organization MOTH. Which later became The World Serpent under Kevin’s leadership in the Current Era. In the MOTH, there were individuals that were genetically modified with Honkai Beast genes and became MANTIS. After the iirc 11th Herrscher, the Herrscher of Binding killed almost all the MANTIS, the remaining ones became the public figures known as the 13 Flamechasers. The second flamechaser Elysia apparently was not really changed by the MANTIS operation and as humanity was doomed because all of the remaining major cities getting nuked, Elysia figured she was a Herrscher. But unlike the other Herrschers that were born through the Cocoon of Finality’s influence to mindlessly wreak havoc, Elysia had always been a Herrscher and she had always had her human mind. Noticing that Elysia was actually the first Herrscher and the only Herrscher with humanity, she was called both Herrscher of Origin and Herrscher of Human. Her in game battle suit is named Herrscher of Human: Ego, symbolizing her “Ego” signet as one of the 13 flamechasers. At the end, Elysia goes to the (presumably) Cocoon of Finality and “sacrifices” (we don’t see what happens beside Elysia setting off towards the sunset lol) to make the next Herrschers Herrschers of Human. And she succeeded as most of the Current Era Herrschers are very humanoid and some even retain their own persona. There is major parallels between Elysia and Jesus btw. Elysia was always enamored by humans and human creations such as cities. It can be argued that no action that happened was a negative to the Cocoon of Finality, it wanted embrace and it would obtain it either way regardless if it gave humanity the power to oppose it. Then, an AI robot PROMETHEUS also hacks into the Cocoon of Finality to ensure that the Herrschers to come in the “Current Era” are the same as the ones that came before. But as a result of this, she creates an ego connected to the Cocoon of Finality named “Will of Honkai”. There are many plot points around this but skipping to the Mei part. In the later chapters of part 1, Mei is in a simulation world that have simulated versions of the 13 flamechasers and she tries to learn of the truth behind the existence of Will of Honkai. She learns of Elysia being the Herrscher of Origin but cannot learn anything about the Will of Honkai because it did not exist in the Previous Era. There is a whole murder mystery in the Elysian Realm simulation as the Herrscher of Corruption is corrupting the data. Almost everybody (not that they were truly alive anyways) dies and Elysia also disappears, Mei recreates Elysia from memories of her from the other Flamechasers and herself and Elysia fights off the Herrscher of Corruption as Mei escapes. As the main character cast are preparing to fight against Kevin with the Authority of Finality, they detect some sort distress signal and Mei figures that it was left from the Previous Era and so she could maybe obtain the Authority of Origin. She finds out that it was just a memory fragment/ message but through plot and willpower she connects to Elysia and inherits the Authority of Origin. It should be noted that we don’t really know what powers Origin even has. It is probably time related but other than that, it is not really known. It wasn’t even supposed to exist in the Current Era either because the Herrschers appearances are set in stone because of the Will of Honkai. Although it is unlikely that Mei acquired the Authority of Origin through an influence other than the Cocoon of Finality, she did bypass PROMETHEUS’ rule and truly inherited the will of the flamechasers and Elysia. One thing explicitly stated even in the character trailers for Finality Kiana and Origin Mei was that “Origin is an end and the finality is a beginning”. For narrative purposes, Herrschers are basically Emanators. The Aeon of Finality may or may not be related to the Cocoon of Finality. Though obviously the scaling is different. I would say it would fit Mei more to be a follower of the Hunt but I don’t think that is likely for Acheron.

I think Aventurine has a very legit reason to worry about Acheron. Through Aventurine we can see even the IPC struggles to find out who she really is. All we get is his speculation based on little known related facts. But SOMEHOW Acheron was allowed to access Penacony with a STOLEN invitation. Meanwhile, Trailblazer got in trouble for replacing Dan Heng in the reservation list. It is possible that he thinks The Family knows her more than him and IPC, which allows The Family to get an upper hand on things.

since not everyone has played Honkai Impact 3rd have some side info: 1. Acheron describes depending of the gender of the Trailblazer as said friend from the past either Kiana (the one she stood shoulder to shoulder) or Kevin (the one she crossed blades with) 2. Acheron quotes a character from Honkai Impact 3rd being Yae Sakura (the Yae Miko Expy), almost word for word being "No compassion for for the enemy for that is cruelty on yourself (...). 3. Similar to how Ei has a twin in Genshin and Acheron has a second "persona" of some sorts from the leaks of her Ult in HI3 Raiden Mei has also a second persona which is the Herrscher of Thunder (mind you she herself later becomes said Herrscher of Thunder but what I specifically mean is the Herrscher Persona that is already in the Herrscher Core which later gives her her powers) 4. Funfact Kiana is at the End of the Game literally the Herrscher of Finality to Acheron serving under Finality again adds onto the HI3 connections and gives a somewhat bitter sweet taste for the fate of our possible Kiana expy in the future :"D I really love your Video just wanted to add some details so some Text Acheron says makes more sense!

Also it mentions final end right at the beginning, about standing between existence and nothingness (being the ending - finality of things, change from something into nothing) etc. The only direct mention of Nihility is that she is saving others from its temptation putting her more into opposition of the path.

They advocate for abstinence and penance to dilute the temptation of elation. Their powers come from blessings of the Aeon of Elation, Aha. So just like the Mourning Actors, Acheron gets her powers from IX the Nihility

the one we met in the begining definetly was from the future, remember - she knew how to walk on the walls, while when we where together with her and black swan later in the story she was so surprised that it worked, is either she have two halfs one remembering other dont or she is literaly experienced it already when we meet her for 1st time in the dream and her appearence was like a warning for us and whats upcoming

If Acheron is an enemator of Finality then it's impossible to have memories bc she is moving backwards in time. Hence why Black Swan is unable to see any memories, they don't exist.

If I had to make a guess; Acheron is potentially working for someone/something that wants to prevent a timeline that would lead to the end of the universe due to the actions of the Trailblazer defeating Nanook. While she may not truly want to end the Trailblazer, she was possibly led to believe this would lead to a 'correct' timeline.

Her sword draws power from Nihility so she is presumably emanator of Nihility

When you said she can be an Emanator of any Aeons I am thinking about Abundance. It’s unlikely that she is an Emanator of Abundance. I mean Mei and Ei always seems to be the opposite of infinity.

I can never doubt Mei senpai... 😅

But how do we know Aventurine is telling the truth about Duke Inferno? How do we know he's actually dead? How do we know the invite Acheron has is the Duke's? How do we know She's the one that killed him? I don't trust Aventurine, he's just coincidentally in the middle of or right next to all the weird and suspicious stuff.

We dont to be honest, in fact ive seen discussion where people even mention that maybe aventurine was given false information. The current storyline is just meant to be as unclear as possible so anyone could be lying at this point

Acheron NEVER said she is galaxy ranger. She is very consistent how she introduce herself. "They call me Acheron the Galaxy Ranger" I interpreted it that she doesn't know herself and just go with what othernpeople told her about herself. Which perfectly lines up with Finality theory. And I suspect she was indeed part of Galaxy Rangers as no matter what Aventurine trying imply it's not mutually exclusive with being Eminator and it lomes up with her personality.

In the HSR TGA trailer when asked what her name was she mentions "Acheron the galaxy ranger" though im not sure how canon a trailer like that is considered but at the very least she has been claiming to be a ranger despite now being revealed she might not be one. Its also possible as you mentioned that she once was a ranger but is now no longer an active member

Nonetheless phrasing she used in game with us specifically is still very unique and has implications imho. I also still thing she probably is Galaxy Ranger Acheron as we didn't really get any reason to doubt it imho.

Red dialog is changing plot. You change future red text based on the choices you make in the previous chat. The second time you meet Acheron. The text changes based on your answers in the first red text. Making it very unlikely that the first time you meet her in the future. Also you are sitting there believing everything Aventurine and Black Swan as true. It could be they both are lying to us. Sparkle even says Aventurine species are a bunch of crooks and criminals. Right now everyone is a do not trust their words.

I would trust her, even if she sliced me in half with her sword. Oh, wait a moment...😂 Honestly, she is the most interesting character on Painacony (imo) and my wishes are reserved for her. Can't wait how the story continues!!!

She doesnt have anything to do with raiden shogun. Shes another version of mei. Raiden shogun just happens to also be based off the same character. Shes definitely not going to have anything like a sister from genshin impact.

Her design she is a mix betweeen Herrscher of Thunder and Raiden Shogun, so why not story-wise too? In the end, it's all just speculation at this point and we've to wait and see what HoYo decides to do with her.

Yeah I misheard it wrong, there was another show that pronounced Acheron as asheron and i got my wires crossed 😂

I would like to think that she is an emanator of Finality simply because of how Kiana in HI3rd is HoF and we know those two are close to each other so maybe a pattern there. Not based on facts though

We can't even trust Aventurine about Acheron killing the Duke 1, As our professional racist Hanabi/Sparkle said, Aventurine comes from a race of natual born liars 2, since discovering that Acheron forced us to let her in the team. (as in, if you deny her enough times, our options will appear in red text and change into a acceptance of her into the firefly rescue squad) She might as well have a way to get things without brutalizing someone. (Also there was no way she could normally enter that level of the dreamscape by pure accident, since BS who let us there in the first place) So I personally belive she didn't even met the Duke, let alone kill him But you know who could have killed him? Sam, he is a Stellaron Hunter, so he knows about us. He on purpose ignored us at first, and then tried reaching out for us mid battle before Archeron stopped him. Who's to say Elio didn't tell Sam to pulverize the Duke? Or even forge Duke's death? We can't predict shit because of Elio, that sneaky cat
