One of my favorites is the follow up to 'Take on me', 'The sun always shines on TV'. In the beginning of the video you will se what happens to the couple from two 'dimensions'. Other favorites are 'Train of Thought', 'Manhattan Skyline', 'I've been losing you', 'Summer moved on', 'Cry wolf'...actually it is hard to pick a few, they have so many great songs.

There are so many!! It's a shame the USA only knows A-ha for that one song when the group has a vast catalog of incredible songs throughout the years. Their new album "True North" will be out this fall.

The living daylights from the James Bond 007 movie of the same name! Timothy Dalton was the best bond!

The famous synth rift was written by the keyboard players when he was only 14 . The singer morten harket is one of the best singers of all the time with a vocal range few can match. He holds a Guinness book of records for the longest held note in a single release. They also held a attendance record when they played to 198,000 people, which was part of a 25 date tour of South America, the total attendance of those 25 shows was over 3 million people.

The lead singer, Morten Harket, still sounds this good, 35 years later. This is a great song.

One of my favourite bands. Still marvellous even now. Saw them in concert in Frankfurt 7th May THIS YEAR!!! And they are better than ever!!!!!

Greetings from Norway, the home country of a-ha, and welcome into the world of one of the greatest bands in the history of pop. As a Norwegian, I may be considered incompetent when it comes to a-ha, but actually their fan base is to be found all over the world. When the three members of the band traveled to London in the early 80's, no other pop artists had come out of Norway. They lived from hand to mouth in London while waiting for their breakthrough. 'Take on me' was released 2/3 times before Warner put money on the table. They had great faith in the band, and engaged Steve Barron to make the famous music video. The technique used is called rotoscoping. Everything was filmed before drawing over the frames. It took two cartoonists four months to draw the 3,000 pictures. At that time the song was so "different" from what people were used to, so they needed time to take it in. Which they got with the video. Morten Harket has a distinctive voice that he masters to the fullest. He is also known for his range. The other two members, Paul Waaktaar (guitar) and Magne (pronunciation Maang-neh) Furuholmen (keyboard) are both very talented musicians and songwriters. They have released ten studio albums, and have a lot of hits in Europe. Most people reacting to 'Take on me' looses the rest of their music, unfortunately. a-ha played in New York last week, you can find on you tube then playing take on me

this song has permeated the musician world so much, that i've found at least 32 genre covers of the track. metal, punk, ska, edm, breakbeat, 8bit, jazz, bossanova, orchestral, string quartet, marching band, brass band, even kpop and a personal favorite bluegrass.

They wrote the lyrics and vocals to show off Morten Harket's vocals. 5 octaves. Low and high. After various breaks of the band, they have made great songs. Most album is 2022 .

In the beginning of the video watch the details and it will make sense all thru, and in the middle to the end... an award-winning MTV in the 80s. Definitely repeat and find gems.

I met the lead singer when I was in Norway when this was new. They are Norwegian. Damn I'm getting old.... Good band

They just played 3 nights in Los Angeles, 25th anniversary of their first album (2 years late, due to pandemic). Yes, this song still moves the crowd.

Morten’s range was incredible and it’s STILL that way. Great song. Great video.

Guys you forgot why she came back into the real world by way of the trash basket...the waitress folded up the paper and threw it in the basket when she thought the girl beat her out of the tab. The newspaper was her doorway to the comic world and back. Like you both said, this was a great combo of music and art and whoever put this together were really creative.

a-ha are great Artists and Morten Harket has a beautiful Voice

Masterpiece video and song!!!!!!! The drawing blew me away first! It was on MTV first time my teens and I saw it. We were transfixed.

Loved aha since they came out in the 80s, Favorite song is Minor Earth Major sky. That one has a decent beat. Not as upbeat as this one but it's still really creative too.

The bad guys in this video are the other motorcyclists that he beat in that race. They're pissed and after him. There is a Keyboard played by Mags (He wrote the riff). Then there's Paul on guitar. Both of them are backup singing. Morten Harket's voice is one of the very best with a very wide range and full of power. AND they are all eye-candy, even now in their 60s! They've released 11 studio albums and have toured off and on up til 2022.

The greatest music video of all time. I can't get over how very few pick up that those who attack them in the middle of the video are the ones the primary character was racing against at the beginning. Has our attention span been so reduced that we can't follow a simple story line?

One of the best videos of all time. Btw the 2 bad guys at the end are from the beginning of the comic. The protagonist/lead singer beats both of them in a motorcycle race and they are pissed. When the comic gets thrown in the garbage they are free to attack him. Fun Fact: The girl and the lead singer dated for a while after this video.

So many great songs, I’d recommend for you guys to view, the sun always shines on tv, train of thought, hunting high and low, I’ve been losing you, Manhattan skyline. @@TheDemouchetsREACT I just saw them in LA 2 weeks ago for the first time, and they were amazing. That's where I heard about the new album Mark mentions. They put out an album called Cast in Steel in 2015 that I listen to on yt all the time. Some of my other favorite albums are Foot of the Mountain and Lifelines. it's really hard to pick one favourite song as I really love them all. They were a one-hit wonder here b/c of Take on Me, but there's so much more that's so good! I hope you enjoy discovering more of them.

When the lady cafe owner thought that the girl stiffed her coffee check, she crumpled up the comic book and threw into the trash can. The two men that were going after the lead singer and the girl were from the motorcycle race from the beginning of the music video. Their worlds collided when the lady cafe owner crumpled up the comic book. When the two men cornered the protoganists the lead singer opened a portal back into the real world of the cafe. The last scene where the lead singer was hitting himself against the hallway of the girl's home was an homage to the David Cronenberg's horror movie called Altered States. This is a Swedish trio band. React to their song The Sun Always Shines On TV please.

First of all thankyou for reacting to Aha and take on me. I have been an aha fan since 1985 when this song first came out i was 16 then i’m 53 now. Aha are a very underrated and unappreciated band from Oslo, Norway. The take on me video has 14,000 line drawings in it. Aha have a huge back catalogue so i hope you’ll check out more of their music. Aha’s music is unique because every song, every album is different from the previous one. The sun always shines on tv is the follow up to take on me and it rockier. Summer moved on another aha song is a ballad and it’s in the guinness book of records for the longest note held in a song something like 15-20 seconds. i think the police were maintaining the order between the real & comic world, that’s why they were separating them

i'm sure you guys have heard of mick jagger before (aka the inspiration for maroon 5's song "moves like jagger") well, i think it'd be cool if you guys checked out the rolling stones (mick is the frontman of the band), they started in the 60s and are still kicking it today in their 70s even tho a few members have unfortunately passed away. they are definitely one of the best rock bands/bands in general of all time, some of the best lyrics and the music is just enjoyable. I'd recommend "sympathy for the devil" (my personal favorite stones song, released in 1968), "paint it black" (released in 1966), "i can't get no satisfaction" (released in 1965), and "gimme shelter" (released in 1969, and "start me up" (released in 1981). (they are the most popular and great to start off with). This is just a recommendation of course, please don't feel obligated to fulfill it, i'll continue to watch your channel either way. and all of this is if you haven't heard the rolling stones before lol 😭😭. much love tho 🥰

It wasn't a keytar but I understand why you think that. They did use bass peddles and not a real bass.
